Dr Olga Korobkova, DVM performed ear surgery on my dog while she had an ear infection (which I discovered after the fact).After the surgery my pet was rubbing her head on the wall and the doctor said she was old and it could be neurological. They don’t care about your pets health.

I cant speak for every doctor… but dr Bernstein was a pleasure. She is extremely diligent, attentive, empathetic, and overall a pleasure to deal with. I love that this place only does what is required and won’t give you the runaround like many other vet clinics I have been with. Lovely place with lovely doctors. Finally, people who care about animals. not about taking all of your money.

Most noteworthy fact is that we essentially got the care of two vets, which seems to be their typical protocol. We had a really confusing situation on our hands, involving a kitten with FIP, and the fact that we had the attention of both dr Bernstein and dr Shteynberg, made some difficult decisions quite a bit easier to manage. Through the various tests, visits, the situation lasted more than a couple weeks, and we got prompt emails, and calls from both doctors, sometimes on Sunday evenings.
Additionally, we felt the prices were fair, and that they were certainly not trying to get us to spend every dollar we had.

This place is disgusting! Beginning from the doctor ending with his medical assistant! The front desk was the best experience of the visit. They tried to push you to do vaccinations that are not even needed but can’t even tell you the benefits– instead the doctor had an attitude that I didn’t wan to spend $ 300 at the visit! Avoid at all costs! I have never met a more nasty doctor!

I heard about this place from a close friend of mine. It was my first time there and it was great. It’s very reasonable pricing. The receptionist Sara was extremely welcoming and sweet. She was very helpful. She helped me put the muzzle on my dog because my dog was giving me such a hard time. The doctor Bernstein was really quick and fast. My dog was really scared he hates vets and she tried calming him down. I will definitely be going here again.

Overall wonderful experience ! Blue loved Dr. Anna Bernstein ! She’s super friendly & very well with her clients ! You can tell she truly cares & loves what she does! Great feeling bringing your pet to someone who truly cares for her patients ! The receptionists Sara and Kristen in the front were just beyond helpful & greeted me with such pleasant & happy faces! Talk about Sunday Funday ! Overall a great experience! blue & I will be returning soon :)

I just tried to take a 1 week old kitten that I found and have been bottle feeding. I made an appointment because someone recommended this place (probably because it was close to my home). I walked in and was ignored for the first several minutes and when they finally began speaking to me all they cared about is how I was going to pay them. The girl I spoke with was very rude, so much so that I left and will be doing my own search for a decent office in my area.

I’ve been a client for the last 20 years;I have left my three dogs, there when I have gone on vacation. Their veterinarian services are excellent and the staff is courtesy. When my
Little guys passed away; the clinic staff was so compassionate. I received sympathy cards at my home; I’ve never had that experience before with my previous pets.
There are only 3 pets at home now: a Pug 7yrs & my rescue cats 14 & 2 yrs old. My furry family will continue to be cared for by the Sheepshead Bay veterinarian clinic always. They Are Superb!

Recently found this vet and I’m so glad I switched. My previous vet was overpriced and I had two new kittens to get neutered but could not afford it so I looked for somewhere cheaper. Sheepshead Bay Vet’s prices are awesome, the staff is friendly, and doctor Olga is the best. She has done both of my cats neutering procedures and is a very friendly doctor, she is very sweet with and caring with my pets. Highly recommend if you are looking for a friendly inexpensive vet in Brooklyn.

Terrible experience ! My cat gets a prescription food and on the 12^th month after his previous visit with the dr, the office said we cannot get anymore food until we come in for another visit. Fine, however, i asked if we can come in in a month because of a very difficult schedule. I basically begged for them to give my cat food until i can come in, but they would not work with me! They said no food until you come in.
I was in disbelief, they d rather my cat starve than give me a month to get to appointment. All money driven!!! Terrible.
Took my records and left.
Also, my friend’s cat got misdiagnosed by the dr. When he was taken to th hospital, the docs told her, the cat does not have the condition and was not supposed to be on that medicine, given by dr yakov.

Dr. Sheynberg and Dr. Olga are terrific veterinarians. I have a four year old french bulldog that means the world to me and my family. The first time we ever used their services happen to be out of emergency. Our dog was not doing well and was puking up bile. The vets on Ave x failed to do anything to comfort my dog nor ease our worries but didn’t fail to charge us an arm and a leg. When we came Dr. Sheynberg was extremely prompt on giving us a peace of mind. Audrey was diagnosed with two herniated disks and soon enough we were prescribed progesterone and lots of rest and snuggles. He was also very good at updating us and checking up on his patient. Very pleased with everyone working for this clinic. All of our friends use their services and i will continue recommending this clinic to every pet owner in our area.

I’m not surprised that they have such a low rating already. I took my dog here twice. The first time, Dr. Miller gave him vaccines after I told him that another veterinarian already vaccinated him for those vaccines less than a month ago. He had a terrible reaction and was sick for days. Dr. Miller refused to admit his fault when I called and refused to offer help. I took my dog back ONLY because Dr. Miller is no longer with the vet group and I only needed 1 vaccine. Dr. Olga gave him the vaccine and offered a flea and tick treatment. I asked for the vaccine history and was provided one for everything BUT the vaccine I actually came in for. Also, I was given a flea and tick treatment for a dog size smaller than my dog. When I came back in an hour to exchange it, I was told that they weighed him, which is a lie because I was there the entire time. And the receptionist was extremely rude. I will never come back here because the entire vet group is unprofessional.

I’ve been going to doctor Dr. Sheynberg for about 3 years. During the visits I feel that he cares and I really trust him, because he always explains what is with my cat and gives valuable advises.
First time I came when my cat got urinary disease. The cat spent couple days in the hospital. So doctor Yakov was calling me every day to tell how my cat was doing.
Hospitalization and treatment was pretty expensive. Also what I liked that the hospital offered me credit because I did not have that much money at that time.
Before I was going to a clinic in Park Slope. I had experience when a doctor charged me $ 400 for exams and never got back. After calling him for about three weeks he told me that my cat has fungus and I should buy something on Amazon!!! At that time it was kind of too late. I got fungus from my cat and still have a scar from it.
So after that finding doctor Sheynberg was like a miracle! I really recommend him!

My family and our three pets have been coming to this vet forever and we usually see Dr. Sheynberg, although on occasion have also seen Dr. Olga. Both vets are very professional, thorough and kind. I’ve never experienced having to put my animals through any useless tests like these other reviews state.

By far the best veterinary hospital I have ever been too. Dr. Sheynberg is very thorough and caring. He rocks! I drive from Staten Island to Brooklyn just to go to this animal hospital. I have been bringing my cats here for at least 5 years. I had to bring my very ill cat to be euthanized and Dr Sheynberg was more upset than I was. This tells me he is dedicated.
The prices are reasonable as well. On Staten Island I found prices to be higher. When we bring the cats for their regular check ups our office visit fee is waived because we come from Staten Island.
I love the support staff as well. Much nicer than what I have found here on Staten Island. I was referred to this animal hospital from my physician… He takes his cats there.

Dr. Sheynberg rocks! The reason I am updating my review (again) is bc the vets at this clinic keep amazing me! In the last few weeks Dr. Sheynberg repaired my labrabulls canine tooth after extensive research bc he wanted to provide the BEST care! just yesterday, he did an emergency eye surgery on my Shihtzu who had an ulcer in her right eye that ruptured. My bf and I were terrified and Dr. Sheynberg talked us through our options, possible outcomes, and made sure to answer all our questions (included visuals). I trust him and he genuinely cares about the animals. He is always showing affection to my dogs and he’s clearly not in it for the money. I have recommended this clinic to friends and family and they all have good experiences. The vets in this clinic truly provided a better life for my dogs

Terrible place and I was lied to. Adopted my dog there and was skeptical at first becauae the told me she was younger and when I got there she was much older. But the person I spoke with assured me if there was any problems the veterinary would take care of it free of charge. Told me she was spayed and then I receive a phone call telling me she was not and they would do it free of charge. So I went back a month or so after because my dog was acting sluggish out of nowhere so I was nervous, turns out the woman that told me these things didnt work there anymore and they wanted to play dumb on what was told to me. Wanted to charge me a arm and a leg for office visit and vitamin shotz. My dog cried hysterically on the table when they gave them to her and had to take her to another room because we were like what are you doing to her. wanted to charge $ 400 for her getting spayed and thats after the «wonderful» 10% off they offered me. The vet waa very rude. Everyrhing I told her about my dog that is odd, such as constant hard heeving, she said my dog made a liar out of me because she waa not doing it right then and there. At that point I was already attached
dog so I cant give her back. Rude staff, long wait,.ridiculous prices, tries to get you to do everything to rack up the bill. Ended up waiting on line for ASPCA to get her spayed and def switching her vet.

I have to travel a bit to get here, but it’s worth it.
I had a cat that seemed very sick. I could not get an appointment at Pawsitive, and Pet Haven refused to treat her because the vet wanted to go home. Now my cat is difficult to say the least, but they were wonderful. They were very attentive, and were truly concerned about the health of my cat. Love them.

I give these vets 5 stars because they are good at what they do, and it seems like they know their stuff. The reception staff are pleasant as well, so they get 5 stars.
My family brought our cat here several years ago because our cat could not urinate. The place kept our cat at their place overnight, gave it some sort of iv drop and a catheter bag, and charged us 1000, which was really steep, especially since we weren’t told clearly what was wrong with our cat and what was done by them to fix it. But i give them 5 stars for fixing the problem and saving our cat.
After the procedure, the doc put our cat on «prescription» diet and said that the cat will have to be on this diet for the rest of its life. Again, not an issue, because ever since then our cat has been fine.
We bought this «prescription» cat food from this office ever since, for about 5 years. Here is where my problem comes in. One day we come to this office to buy the food as we usually do, but they refused to sell it to us because the doctor has to «inspect» our cat first to make sure that the diet is appropriate for it before they can sell it to us. How is that the case when the doctor told us that the cat will have to be on this diet for the rest of its life? The exam they wanted to perform was gonna cost us couple of hundred dollars before they can sell the food to us again, and they would require this exam in the future every couple of years. What a ripoff! For that, i give these vets negative 15 stars. Never bought this «special prescription» food from them again when i can easily buy it online without any strings attached. Will not be patronizing this office again.
