I went here of desperation when my regular place was closed due to Chinese new year. It was a few dollars more than I am used to $ 25 for a gel manicure. They had a decent variety of colors and use Essie products. The most interesting thing here was that they give you rubber gloves with the fingers cut out I think they are to protect your hands from that UV rays when you’re getting a gel manicure which is something I always worry about. The manicurist was pretty quiet the only thing I mentioned was that I wanted my nails filed around and she said«I know.» Most annoying was that it was completely silent there was no music or background noise making it feel uncomfortable. Unfortunately it is a poor quality service and my gel manicure it was pretty sloppy there was a lot of polish on my cubicle and it wasn’t neat around the edges. I wouldn’t go back there unless I had to.

I went in yesterday because I needed a change in color then I decided to try the shellac. The place has only one person getting a pedicure so I figured there would be no rush and the woman would do a good job. I also didn’t need the manicure since I had one just a week ago. Needless to say I was still charged full price and the workmanship is horrible. Why is it so hard to take your time and make sure the whole nail is covered in polish. Let’s just say she missed almost every nail on the side sigh. I won’t go back.

They don’t do the best job but it’s decent. 7 $ for a manicure and 13 $ for a pedi! I can’t complain! If you are super particular about your nails and you get all the fancy extras like designs or unique shapes, this is probably not the place for you. They do sell Essie nail polish for 8 dollars a bottle. It’s not the fanciest looking place either. But that’s ok as long as the pedicure seat is clean and the utensils are clean. So, it’s A-OK! I think the lady who did my pedicure did a better job than the manicurist. Too bad I didn’t get their names. It’s not that bad so give it a try! They do have a 10 dollar minimum on credit card purchases and you can put the tip on your card if you want. They do charge tax on top of everything though.

The worst manicure ever! The paint job was shoddy and she filed my cuticles until they bled! Also very unsanitary

Just got home from this torture chamber. The place that I usually go to was really busy and I already waited over 30 minutes with no end in sight so I made the mistake of walking a block down to this place. NEVER again. Kathy did my pedicure. Terrible. Safe to say the WORST one I have ever had. The water was boiling hot. She never even bothered to take off my old polish. Granted it was very light but nope! Why take it off? Just paint over them. She proceeded to dig in my toe nails like she was picking grout off of tile! The pain! She looked up at me wincing and said, «hurt!» Yes. Hurt. Bad. Please stop. When she was done with one foot she would«toss» my leg aside like she was throwing a sack of beans and on to the next. She worked on me like I was an old car. Rough and tuff. TERRIBLE! Now on to the massage. She slapped some generic pink lotion on my leg and gave it a half a@@ rub for 6 seconds. the whole experience was bad. Then she said, «now dry» and waved her arm as if to say, get out of the chair and on to my next victim. Lesson learned. NEVER will I stray from my usual place for the sake of saving a few minutes or 30. This pedi ran me $ 13.00. My usually place is LESS at $ 12.00AND they are all very nice, gentle and give one heck of a foot massage. They don’t be tickling or nothing! ;)

This is one of many typical ‘get-in-get-out and pay under $ 10 for a manicure’ places I’ve tired in desperation. I usually do my own mani-pedi at home until my back says ‘no’ This place is very shabby looking and smelled a bit like it was recovering from a flood. But the pedicure price is only $ 13, so… I was walked over to 3 massage chairs that did not massage. I asked to turn them on and was told they coincidentally, are ALL broken(a-hum– CONED — cough). ‘Yung’ was the lady who was filing my nails away on my feet with no rhyme or reason, kept going at times on one toe until her convo with her coworker ended. I showed her how the nail file should only in one direction to avoid ingrown nails and over filing. She just shook her head and spoke in an other language. She then dropped a powdered tablet into the foot tub filled with lukewarm water. She did cut cuticles very well, and without direction thankfully, since no one in this place speaks English. This place is very unsanitary. I didn’t see them sterilize any tools in the usual sanitizing mini-oven each place has. The rest of the pedicure was the same. Sprayed some sanitizer on my toes, squirted and smeared some lotion on my legs and called it a massage, then added some paint. She gave me the same flip flops from previous client, a young girl. They do not have the paper disposable flip flops. Health Department! I gave this place 2 stars at first but I remember how rude the old Korean ladies were talking and giggling at some of their customers. It really deserves only 1 star, but felt bad as these women are obviously paid slave wages. I’ll never go here again for fear of getting an infection. I would rather pay more to have clean utensils, working equipment, a decent pedicure, AND a person I can communicate with.

Ok ok! I admit it! I get pedicures. Seriously though, I freakin’ hate clipping my toe nails so I rarely do it unless they get real bad! And I mean like I have to wear an extra half shoe size up and buy new socks every week because the tops are being cut open kind of bad! Wait… was that too much? So I come to this little gem in the Ridge. My friend lives two blocks down and she introduced me to this place! Its awesome and all the Korean women that work there are so nice… well if you don’t understand Korean! But there really are nice though… As soon as I anyonghaseyo myself-in, my girl Kathy always flashes me her great smile and orders me to remove my shoes. Then scowls, makes me show my feet to the other women who always makes a surprised and then tsk tsk sound. Then Kathy chastises me for not coming more often. Once she breaks out the nail clippers, I’m pretty much in heaven! She’s amazing! And then after her foot massage which practically puts me to sleep, I look down and its like a new pair of feet have been attached to my body. I’m by no means fluent in Korean but I did understand this one time when the two women were talking about this really hot girl’s feet who was next to me. –Word of Advice: Its pretty hard to hit on someone when your getting nail strengthner put on your toenails! And the pedicurist asks you if you want«clear or just a buff this time!”-Anyway, I overheard, well they weren’t really whispering, them talk about this girl’s really nasty feet. I didn’t believe it until I looked down and almost passed out! I mean… I hope she was a ballerina… LAWD! Anyway they have a variety of services there ranging from waxing(I draw the line!), facials, to acrylic nails and such(well…it IS in Bay Ridge!). They also have lockers where you can leave any special supplies there that you want to be used in your treatments(no, I don’t have one!) The latino girl that works there is really good too!
