I was in need of a sound meter and confirmed online that they had a few left on the shelves. Soon as I arrived, I was met with large crowds which is expected on Black Friday. I hurried to the lower level and figured that the product I was searching for would either be in the section with all of the tools or the electronics.
I must have walked around twice and could not fine one available employee to help me identify which section I would find the sound meter. It doesn’t help that they’re wearing different color t-​shirts and had it not been for the Sears id that was worn around their necks, I would not have been able to differentiate between the customers and the employees.
I approached an employee in the electronics section who was of no help. He had no clue where to direct me nor did he even attempt to ask a colleague or conduct a search on their computer network. I opted to search for myself, but no luck. Eventually, I walked over to the tools section and solicited the aid of an employee who was able to help me locate the product I needed.
The line was a whole ‘nother story. It was clear that one of the employees on the cash register was new and frequently tugged on her colleagues to help her conduct the transactions. I was so ready to leave the store that I paid in cash and opted out of joining the mailing list. I did not want any hiccups with my check out process.
Tip: There was no greeter. Do not shop in person during the holiday season. Despite the extra hands hired to deal with the rush, the staff was well-​hidden and I was left to roam the floor section solo for the most part. They definitely need to work on improving customer service.

Never have anything I really need whether it’s tools, appliances etc… customer service is below average no one really goes out their way to help you. They sell crappy products most likely refurbished. Only good thing about this sears location is their parking

Sears online service is incompetent. Senior corporate leadership is unconcerned with their customer base. The future for Sears to continue operating is bleak.
I spent four hours on the phone trying to find out why a $ 1500 item was not delivered. And why they charged by debit card twice for a total of $ 2900. They thought I should order the item again, and be charged a third time. Are you serious!
Negative stars.

This place needs some TLC… the building looks bad and the floor is a ness clothes all over the place and there points program is shady… they send you coupons you cant use… just a bad experience all around… this is case in point on why sears will be out of business in a few years. not only is the business model extremely dated and out of touch, the service is shitty as well… sell your shares and run for the hills

This Sears needs a new manager!
Was there to pick up an item and I literally had to wait almost 1 hour to receive it. Many people were complaining. We tried to find a manager, but nobody knew where she was. Staff was lost, slow, unmotivated. In the email, item was ready for pick up but it wasn’t true.
New management, motivated, to this Sears store, please!

There are many pros and cons about Sears, but by the masses of large families that pack the store on a daily basis, it’s still a good place to shop.
I’m not a mall person, so I love going to Sears. Even over Macy’s. This Sears is small and you don’t have to search forever to get what you are looking for. Maybe because I’m nostalgic about wandering the aisles and looking at tools with my father as a child that they instilled customer loyalty from me at a young age, but it still can’t be beat.
Pros:
— small store= less wandering around
— ok selection of appliances, if you see it online, you can usually order it at the store
— ok selection of tools, but they usually always have what I need. They don’t have a many makers of the same product, just a few, but their warranties can’t be beat. Most are lifetime.
— good deals on clothes and shoes
— kitchen section is pretty good. I was looking at a Cuisinart pan at Macy’s for almost $ 100. A similar model was $ 40 at Sears. I don’t mind the difference in design, my food will cook the same way.
— very good deals when you have a credit card (of course). Since Sears also owns K Mart and Land’s End, you can use your card there too.
Cons:
— to repeat another Unilocaler — do not order from pickup. Just go find it and bring it to the register. I remember always going to the pickup in the 80’s at my hometown Sears and it was super efficient… not here. You can still use it for the obvious items that aren’t on the floor, but picking up from the store kind of sucks.
— the staff sometimes could be a little more helpful, but they are usually really young. I just wish people would teach better customer service.

Eleanor Roosevelt attended the 1932 opening of this flagship Sears at Beverley & Bedford but now it’s just a depressed elderly relative in the Sears family. Its décor and lighting are sorely in need of renovation. They’re not old-​timey but OLD, and evoke nostalgia not in a good way. I use this location for things like appliances, tools and fitness equipment. I try to know what I want before I go so I can avoid the wait while sales associates who know nothing about products slowly check the database to answer each question. The convenient parking lot is the reason I went there yesterday instead of Kings Plaza to look for a fridge. I was disappointed to find the selection very limited. The one model they had that would fit my space, a Kenmore of course, had lousy online reviews. At PC Richard and Lowes I found at least 3 different major brands to compare.

Do not order for pick up. Repeat. Do not order and try to pick up here — you will waste so much time would be faster for you to learn to weld or sew and build whatever you ordered from scratch.

There is nothing wrong with this Sears. I don’t understand all the bad reviews. Like most stores in the Flatbush area, you have to put a little effort into your shopping trip. This store has several floors with merchandise that ranges from infants to home & garden to electronics. A one stop shop for all house and family needs.
Everything isn’t nice and neat, but it’s Sears quality. This isn’t a «cheap» store and this isn’t a «discount» or «bargain» store either. It is a real Sears flagship store.
Personally I love the parking lot here because there is always parking and it can be used for all of the adjacent stores as well.
Overall, if you don’t feel like this store is up to par, go to another one. There is a Sears in Kings Plaza.

SEARS is alright. I always find good deals here. They really have a great mens’ boots selection. like 30 different pairs of boots to choose from. All high quality stuff too with good prices. They didn’t have a pair in my size and I ordered them for store pick up. They came in a few days and I picked them up after waiting about 5 minutes.

Pickup service sucks I waited 2hrs for a small ratchet set den another time I was already waiting for 45mins and I had to get the store manager on duty after that I received the item quick

I kind of love the art deco Sears even though it is a troubled store in many ways. First of all: art deco Sears. Once you see it from the corner of Beverly and Bedford you’ll see what I mean. Also, I heard that it played a part in the Brooklyn blackout riots so it has history.
The store is not really well stocked. Its not a huge store and there aren’t a lot of choices of products in any category. Don’t even bother to ask for something from the back; what you see is what you get. The upside is that you can find a product you like online and find out if the store has it before you go in. I’ve found this to be useful and accurate. The downside is that you’ll want to check out your product thoroughly in the store before you purchase. Open the box and make sure all the parts are in there and look unused. I learned the hard way on this. But I keep coming back because the sale prices can be really good deals.
The staff are a mix of nice and helpful, incredibly slow (the cashiers), some unhelpful sales staff, and some really mean sales staff. All in all, prepared to spend some serious time there. You will not be in and out in an hour, even if you know exactly what you want.

Usually just good for basic things I recently realized that they sometimes have pretty good deals in their jewelry section.

I will say today was a good day. Short line, nice cashier with a smile. Everything neat and tidy.

It’s Sears. Pretty standard. This one has a nice size parking lot, which is not always common for NYC shopping. I have only been in the appliance section and had good customer service. As I ventured to other sections however, I had no luck in finding workers.

Over priced not even good quality clothes smh. It has a decent shoe and perfume section but eh it’s whatever.

As a long time resident of the neighborhood, I really want to patronize this Sears both for local support, but also for a sense of nostalgia. But despite their inventory needing a strong boost, I’ve only ever been treated with courtesy. 40 years ago however, I would give a 5 star rating; The inventory was a lot more complete, there were windows which looked out allowing a lot of natural light, there were 3 or 4 entrances. One on Beverly Road, one on Bedford, and 2 on the parking lot. There was a small but basic and decent diner on the first floor by the current entrance, and an irresistible candy counter near the escalators. Like so many other business’, the store almost seems unloved and neglected. The exterior is beauitful art deco however. The men’s department isn’t bad, but in general, their inventory and interior needs a good boost.

If no starts were an option, that is exactly what this store would get. I have been entirely put off from Sears because of this horrible experience. I ordered a gift online. They told me they had it in stock and that they would send me a confirmation text and email once my item was ready for pick up.
However, once it was time for me to actually pick it up. My purchased item was no where to be found. In fact, the words «we are out of stock» was uttered to me. This completely blew my mind, seeing how I not only got a notice telling me it was ready for storee pick up, but the fact that they TOOK MY MONEY really set me off.
I tried to get a same day refund but I was told that the refund would not be posted back into my account for another 4 DAYS. I had to settle for some weird gift, which I ended up returning anyways.
The store is incredibly unorganized, you don’t know where the line ends or begins. The whole place really makes no kind of sense. A lot o the shelves are completely empty. It really makes you wonder if they get any shipments or if those huge Mack trucks parked outside are just there fore decoration.
Safe to say I will never step into this Sears again!!!

This is a very old, cluttered store with a sad vibe.
And I almost got run over by an a**hole drag racing through the parking lot.
I don’t think the Kardashians (Sears’ new spokes-​celebs) will be dropping in here, or even passing by… ever.

Bad bad bad, people please don’t go there, I was there to return something I bought on line, they did not reimburse my credit card instead gave me a sears gift card so I was forced to shop there against my will!
I said OK let’s see what can I find in this super ghetto store, o my o my the articles so cheap and prices so high, and i decided to not set foot again at Sears period!
