Rocblvd Van Service

Courteous, professional, reliable, punctual are the adjectives to use when describing Roc Blvd. I called Kevin upon a friend’s recommendation from the Dominican Republic when our flight info changed and within minutes he text me a confirmation and wished me a safe trip home stating he would have a van to pick up my family and my friend’s family at Newark. He told me on the day I was to fly home to text him and he would send me the driver’s name and cell number. Within minutes I had a response. As for our driver, his name was Fabian and he was amazing. As soon as I called him to say we were at the terminal he was already there waiting for us. We had a huge, clean and comfortable black van to hold 6 of us including 6 huge pieces of luggage which Fabian did all the lifting. When I arrived home he extended his arm to assist me out of the van as well and wheeled our luggage right to the door. Fabian was extremely courteous as well. Kevin, you definitely know how to run a business and my family and I were very impressed. I would recommend you to anyone. Price was fair and service extraordinary. If you want someone to get you there and show up on time call Roc Blvd. You will be glad you did. You get an A +++++ in my book. Thanks again.

We used RovBlvd vans to seamlessly transport us and our families from our Brooklyn home to and from our wedding in Williamsburg BK. Working with Kevin was easy. He responded to our emails and phone calls and was flexible with changes in details leading up to our event. Drivers Chris and Fabian were professional, courteous and helpful. Vans were clean inside and out. Being able to rely on RocBlvd for transportation made things easy. Don’t hesitate to call Kevin now!

My husband and used Rocblvd to transport our wedding party and other friends from Brooklyn to our venue in in far out Queens, near Long Island. They were really easy to reserve and gave us a fair price. We booked two vans for a total capacity of 24 passengers. My husband confirmed again the week of the event.
HOWEVER, on the day of the wedding, our driver was over 20 minutes late. That’s a lot of time in wedding-​day-​minutes. They had also changed our reservation, without telling us, to one large vehicle carrying all 24 passengers. This was fine but would have been helpful to know ahead of time, as we might have wanted to stagger our departure.
Then, they got totally confused about our payment. We had given them our credit card information ahead of time and had a tip for our driver (who was excellent, once he showed up) all ready in cash. The drive was great, we arrived at our destination, and gave the driver the tip. He then followed us into our venue and asked why we had only given him $ 40? We explained this was just his tip — the full cost should have gone through on our credit card.
Long story short, Kevin ended up calling me and my husband both several times to try to straighten out what should have been a non-​issue. They had our credit card and charged it as planned. It was really annoying to have to deal with this as we were trying to set up our wedding and take pictures. They should have just charged the credit card and not called to explain what happened. Unfortunately, this knocked our experience down quite a few stars.

Pre arrange for car service ftom Roc Transportation– Kwvin the owner texted me back and his office called me to confirm pick up time at JFK. Kevin was on time as promised! His van was clean and he was very professional the whole time! We needed a van since we traveled with too many luggages… working on minimizing the luggages but so far an epic failure. So we always need a SUV or a van for pick up at airports.
Kevin’s service was excellent polite and as quoted jo surprises!

I’m a bit conflicted; this is more of a 3.5. Kevin is a nice guy. We just had a crap experience. Here’s the skinny …
PROS
— Kevin is really nice and always answers his phone, even when I called PST time thinking I’d get to leave a VM I think it goes right to his direct cell. Our first phone interaction, he seemed really professional.
— Pricing is GREAT. Very reasonable, and our booking was for late night.
— They take payment via PayPal (thank God) — if you’re handling people for an event or an organization and you have to do prepaid and don’t want to go out of your own pocket, this is VERY useful. I used this to pay the deposit up front ($ 50 to hold reservation) and then I paid him the diff right in front of him with a tip included at the end of the night.
CONS
— We spoke on the phone re: our booking and then he told me to send him an email with all the details (I think this is probably the job of the company you book with, not you), but given the rate, I was willing. This was a Sunday night. He said he’d reply with an invoice. Given that our event was Friday, and I wanted to pay him and be booked/​set, I sent the info Sunday afternoon and didn’t get the invoice from him until after 9 pm Monday. I had questions re: the payment address and sent an email. I had a feeling that I wouldn’t get an answer any time soon, so I called him to get my confirmation. Then he answered 3 days later on one of my questions (re: settling the bill the night-​of via PayPal). All of this is basically — he works mainly off phone, and is not as responsive over email re: getting you all booked and handling payment, even if your event is just days away.
— Our booking was for a pickup from Times Square. He knew that a whole week in advance, and he is local so he knows how bad traffic is on a weekend right on Broadway. Our 10:45 pm pickup turned into an 11:15 PM pickup, and that gap in time was me in the crowd on my phone yelling trying to hear him and be heard, wandering back and forth as he tried to give useless directions. I was in charge of the group event and looked incompetent trying to figure out where he was and him trying to call out directions to me to come find HIM at some intersection on the opposite side of Times Square, telling me street names/​etc when 1) I am not local and 2) it’s HIS job — not mine — to coordinate our group pickup. So we were wandering in the heat of summer, in heels, dressed up, late night, and ran late and this TOTALLY killed the mood. We were coming from an event at the Marriott going to an after-​party and we got there bedraggled, stressed, tired, and hot. I absolutely did not understand why he did not make sure to coordinate getting his ass to the hotel — in front of it, not blocks away — on time. I was pissed. And when I rhetorically asked our group WTF, one of them, a local, said, this is NYC, of course he’s not going to come to you, he’s going to make you come find him, that’s how it is (sarcastically).
— The van was hot. It had A/​C but that A/​C clearly hadn’t been prepped in advance so we were steamy and hot IN the van on the way to the venue.
— The ride was bumpy (as in, he was driving too fast and like a nutty taxi driver in some instances). We were literally grabbing on to seats and handles as we bounced across and down streets when there wasn’t traffic crawling.
— When we got there, he parked and said he was going to make sure we were safe since the neighborhood looked sketchy. It didn’t look sketchy at all and was filled with people going about their business. Not crowded, but definitely safe looking. Our local rider by this time was over it; she said, this is NYC, he doesn’t know where he is and is just making something up.
— He waited outside and took us back on time as expected and we were just glad to get home and get on. However, after I’m done paying and ready to head out, I see a food truck and haven’t eaten since lunch (it’s 2 am) so I hit the truck. Walking back to the hotel he’s still parked at his original dropoff spot and he asks if I have a spare key because … get this: he locked his keys in the van, and his cousin is 45 min away.
He was hoping I’d go run up to my room and find my house keys and bring them down to help him unlock his van. If I’d had them on me, sure, but no, I’m not going to put myself out at 2:30 AM after an exhausting 18 hour day managing large events for my own organization for your own inability to manage your own details.
The cons outweighed the pros to the point I rounded down to 3 stars. Again, Kevin’s a nice guy. YMMV. The other reviews look like he’ll be great for managing group events that don’t involve being in Times Square. If you plan to be somewhere busy, you might want to work out /​ensure he adds on travel time so his van is where and when you need it to be.

Our family came to NYC to visit us. There was 14 people that came & we don’t have a car that’s big enough to drive them around. We checked online & most were either booked or just way too expensive for us. We found Rocblvd Van Service through Unilocal & after reading the reviews about it, we decided to contact them. We sent a text & spoke with Kevin. We explained to him what we need & he told us the price. His price were great! Oh & Kevin is a really cool, professional, & friendly guy! He drove our family around for two days & it was fun! Kevin isn’t your average boring chauffeur. He’s a really fun guy. We were talking & laughing so much when we were inside his van.
His van is also pretty clean. We would definitely recommend Rocblvd Van Service to anyone. Excellent service! Excellent price! If you ever need a van service, Kevin is your guy, no need to waste time on other company.

I highly recommend RocBlvd Van Service and rate them 5 stars. My company has used multiple van services throughout the years and hands down RocBlvd by far is the best one we have ever utilized. We found them from a online posting and from our first trip with them we never tried another company again. Not only is the price great but the service is even greater. The drivers are always on time, the cars are always clean and smell good, and most importantly they get you to your destination in comfort. The drivers always have a positive attitude as well. Kevin the owner is beyond professional and takes great pride in ensuring all his clients have a safe and accommodating experience. This is one company that truly appreciates each and every one of their customers and because of that I am one happy customer who will always be loyal to their business.

On 2÷21÷2015 there was a snowstorm the night before my wedding and here I am stranded in Brooklyn with a drunk bridal party and no cab to be found. I even checked UBER and nothing. I take a leap of faith since it’s 11pm on a Saturday night and text Kevin to see if he happens to have any vans on the road.
To my surprise within 5 minutes he replies «yes» just finishing up a wedding. I call him immediately to confirm my details and we setup a pickup time for 1am. I cannot believe that I was even this lucky this is 11pm on a Saturday night. Kevin came earlier than expected and took me and my group of 11 to our hotel in Long Island. His van was spacious and best of all clean. I will definitely use his service in the future I am so thankful for Unilocal and most of all Kevin accomodating my last minute request.

We used Roc Blvd for my son’s birthday party. Drove us from Brooklyn to Long Island City, waited for the party to end, and drove us back. It was great service! Fabian, our driver, was courteous, professional and showed up 15 minutes early. The van was clean and comfortable. (One seat, however, was missing a seat belt.) Booking the reservation with Kevin was easy too. He was responsive and made it all very easy. Price was reasonable too. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

We worked with Kevin in providing vehicles to shuttle our wedding guests from the wedding reception to the afterparty. The guests had only positive things to say. Examples:
1. Our afterparty was in Gowanus at Other Half and it wasn’t in the best of locations. One of the drivers told people to wait in the car as he got out of the car to check if the afterparty was in-​fact there. — «The Hero»
2. The cars came to shuttle people to brooklyn and manhattan. My manhattan based guests persisted to change where they wanted to get dropped off. Kevin was nice enough to let them off at multiple locations even through we originally agreed just one location. — «The Accommodater»
I would definitely use Kevin again! Thank you for making our lives such an ease on our wedding day and making sure our guest got to their location safely.

Kevin and his team were fantastic. We used their van services to transport our wedding guests from Brooklyn Bridge Park to our reception on Atlantic Avenue. His team was punctual and very friendly to our guests. Their vans are great too (hard wood floors!) We rode in style and everyone got to the reception on time. I highly recommend.

I never write reviews– ever– but Kevin is exceptional, and service and professionalism like this is almost unheard of these days, so I felt compelled. Long story, but Kevin went out of his way to accommodate both a move of something I was selling and the pick up and delivery of some stuff I was purchasing today, and was amazing through the entire process. He was in constant communication, bent over backwards to do everything according to my time restrictions, and was incredibly reasonable with the cost of it all! I could not recommend his services more, and in addition he is super friendly and ultra reliable– what more could you ask for? This is the first and only review I’ve ever posted, but really, this guy is worth it!

I hired Kevin for my Brooklyn wedding. MY ceremony was in Prospect Park at the Boathouse followed by a celebration at a local Park Slope restaurant. A few mo nobs before the wedding, we found out there was going to be marathon the morning of. Anyone who knows Brooklyn is aware of the congestion … Then top it off with a marathon. That’s when I searched Unilocal for a local shuttle service. Local as in, the drivers know where they are going. We were on a pretty tight schedule so there wasn’t room for error. We had three vans total to get out guests from the raking garage to the park and back to the parking garage which was next to our venue. Each van made a double trip. Kevin’s team were seamless… Perfection! Many of out guests commented on how nice the service was and smooth the rides were. Thankfully, the marathon was pretty much over by the time of our ceremony but having the vans took some burden off our guests to search for spots twice. They were on time, pleasant and were great with directions. I was recently at a wedding that hired a big company with a giant bus. They didn’t haves far to go but the bus got lost, left people waiting and were nasty. You won’t experience any of the above with Kevin! He was by far one of the best vendors we hired. Thank you Kevin!

Kevin is the best. He transported our guests from the Marriott Brooklyn Bridge hotel to both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. He was extremely accommodating, even altered the route when the Brooklyn Bridge was closed and refused to charge extra!

Rocblvd is a perfect service, i called last minute in need for a ride to the airport, met with me a few minutes early, and got me to the airport safe and quick.
