I got my hair done by SEMIH. He dyed and highlighted my hair and the color could not be more perfect. He was very professional and took his time making my hair look perfect. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants an amazing hair colorist! The blowout and style was beyond beautiful I got compliments. Thank you.

I started going to salim a few months ago. I went to many stylists before hand and no one could achieve what I wanted. he gave me a beautiful blond balayage and I came back a few weeks later to go more blond. he have me highlights and colored my roots.
The experience was pleasent. He is very truthful. I asked him for advice and he truthfully answered that my hair will get damaged if I go too light. I respect a stylist who isn’t just after your money.
I’ve been faithfully going back every 6 weeks. even though the prices are a bit more expensive than what I’m used to I will keep coming back.

Wonderful experience from beginning to end. The receptionist (perhaps owner, I don’t know) greeted me with complimentary enthusiasm. Then the exceptional stylist listened to my suggestions and gave me an outstanding haircut. Thank you!!! I received so many compliments today!

Update: I do like the salon and the people that work there… The service is good and they do what you ask for. One star off for the management being a bit obnoxious to me on one Encounter but otherwise a good salon.

I live on Brighton and I love this salon… I will only let Genghis touch my hair! He is amazing I love every hairdo he does for me. I will use this salon for my wedding and makeup and am absolutely in love with the hair extensions I got from there. It is on the pricey side but I wold rather overpay and get the quality stuff without having to travel to the city. Natasha does an amazing job with nails btw and Marina is great with makeup for all those brides out there that need their makeup, nails and hair done this is the place to go!

I travel from the city to get my hair done at Robert Daniels Salon. I tried the most exclusive and some of the most expensive salons in Manhattan, then I would come back to Selim to fix and get the orange out.

If you love your hair, DO NOT GO HERE!!! I came in, showed the guy what I wanted and got butchered. He cut my beautiful hair so bad that I had a panic attack when I washed it and saw what he did. His name was Kirim. I can’t even fix it because he cut it so short when I specifically asked him not to cut it short. Do not go there! When I called the manager told me she can’t give me my money back u till she sees it. I don’t want my money back! It’s not going to bring my hair back! Don’t go here!

I went to get my hair colored and a blowout and once again I had an amazingly smooth experience! Sonar was able to pick the most amazing color, my hair looks so shiny and silky as if I never colored it before! I highly recommend coming here for all your hair needs.

I have NEVER written a review for a store, service, or restaurant in my life… I would say I could write about the service, however, I walked in to make an appointment on my day off about 15 min ago, and they literally just stared at me and drank coffee (a good 5 of them) as if I didn’t even exist… so I just left. I felt completely insulted. Guess getting it done in the city by professional acting staff nearby work is the way to go. Also the «blonde» chick’s color job was a nightmare, so good luck with getting your hair done by her.

Selim the colorist was recommended to me by a friend. Let’s just say, I no longer confide in that friend. I repeatedly told the guy I want natural highlights and said «not blonde» several times. He nodded understandingly. Four hours later, I’m out of there with platinum white highlights on my dark brown hair (mind you, these «highlights» were ten times more prominent on the upper half of my head and almost disappeared as they approached the length of my hair), and a pretty messed up blow dry. Never again will I show my face there. Wasted $ 135 and he even refused to fix it. The cherry on top. Selim is unprofessional and rude. Please go elsewhere and save your hard earned cash!!!

I came to robert daniels salon for over 2 years. Specifically to soner. I will give the men that work there due credit they do good work but one the day of my engagement shoot I was running 20 min late from my makeup appt. I called to let soner know. When I arrived he told me im not taking you. Ummm honestly! If I have been a client of yours for the past 2 yrs its very inappropriate and cruel not to take someone on such an important day. I was so pissed I will never return to robert daniels. Over the past 2 years soner has gotten overly conceded. I have waited ³⁰⁄₄₀ min before so for him to turn me away on the day of my engagement shoot was ridiculous therefore I will never be coming back nor will I further recommend people absolutely disgusting and hideous treatment!

What’s sad about this place is that they don’t even take the criticism they get if it’s bad. They «flag» it. This salon owner is a fraudulent thief who rips you off, chooses the Stylists side over yours if you’re unhappy, and then refuses to offer a complimentary service to fix the mess his stylists create, rather he offers you to never come back again if he gives you a free fix, which should be given in the first place since they messed up your hair. Nonetheless, I already wrote my review of my horrid tragic experience here and then noticed they flagged my review, along with all the other bad reviews they got on this site. (More bad than good). The only thing you can see is the «good reviews», but I’m gonna help you guys out… at the bottom of the page, when you scroll to the last comment, in the bottom left corner it says «flagged reviews», please do yourselves a favor and read those, including my own that I had wrote in detail describing my horrific experience. It’s bad enough when a salon cannot meet professional standards, quality and excellence in customer service, but even worse when they acknowledge the feedback they’re getting, and instead of fixing the problem and addressing each of their unhappy customers with maybe a complimentary offer or a discount at something to have them come back, along with a sincere apology as any good quality running salon would do, they hide all the bad feedback they get so you guys can’t see it. NOW THATS WHAT I CALL A POOR, CHEAP RUN DOWN FRAUDULENT BUSINESS that doesn’t know first hand about quality, let alone how the customer service industry works. Please do yourselves a favor and read all their flagged reviews they had gotten! They flagged it so you don’t see it but you can still see it if you click it on the bottom left corner! Thanks. This is my favorite salon in Brooklyn. Selim is the best hair color specialist, I totally trust him eyes closed when I need to change the color or do the highlights. He is so good that (he does only coloring) I ended up running between two salons as I obviously need to cut my hair once in a while. On the week-​end I believe they offer free valet parking, so you don’t need to look for parking. Highly recommended if you need to dye your hair…

The salon was really nice, the people were nice, and I got a great haircut from Soner. HOWEVER, a note to the owner: please change the sinks. My neck hurt so bad after I got my hair washed, I’ve never been in a more uncomfortable hair washing sink EVER. Yeah, they’re black and they look nice, but I was so uncomfortable, the girl who was washing my hair asked me if I was ok, and I told her what was bothering me, and I told her the sink was really hurting my neck, and she said that I wasn’t the first person to tell them that, and that it was a «known issue». If it’s a «known issue» then please FIX IT!

People are scared of heights, death and snakes but my worst fear has always been being an obviously over-​processed bleached blonde. Growing up, I had golden blonde hair but as I get older, it just gets darker. So in a City that has everything, I expected to find a hair coloring professional to help me bring out the natural hair color I once cherished.
So, I went to a hair salon by my house one day and ended up walking out of the place pissed off and $ 150 poorer. The salon ruined my hair and turned me into a bleached blonde mess. I could’ve done a much better job myself with a visit to the Duane Reade hair care aisle. In my despair, I called my cousin, who informed me about Robert Daniel’s Salon.
At first, I was extremely hesitant because, let’s get real, it’s on Brighton Beach, the place the Americanized Eastern European in me hates with a passion. But I was desperate, my cousin recommended it and they had openings to fix my emergency right away.
After my first experience with colorists Selim and stylists Soner, I haven’t been anywhere else. They listened to my concerns, recommended a course of action and perfectly executed the vision they presented. That was six years ago. I’m still a regular.
Now, I’ll admit, this place is weird. All of the stylists are men from either Israel or Turkey. Some of them speak Russian, others don’t. It’s connected to a shady «we sell all the shampoo and hair products you can imagine» store. However, the atmosphere is always pleasant. Your coat (if it’s that time of the year) is taken immediately and you are offered coffee, tea or cappuccino several times. The salon is clean, well kept and brightly lit. There are no noticeable hair spray cans from the 1960s or old, crumbled tin foil anywhere.
Yes, the salon is pricey. With a full head of highlights, a haircut, a style and tips for three different employees (colorists, stylist, assistant), it ends up being around $ 350. But to me, it’s absolutely worth it. I’ve never walked out of that salon even slightly unhappy with my new hair. And I can’t tell you how many people can’t believe that I have highlights. It’s like I’m seven again.
If you had a major hair disaster, I’d recommend this place for a pricey but absolutely worthwhile fix up. I’m willing to pay for a service that’s worth it. And I’ve found it with Selim and Soner.

This is place is supposed to be high end for people who can afford to do their hair, but in this economy this place should not exist. Its a great salon but stylist are a little weird and can be rude. What I really cant stand is the price they charge you to do you hair and you can go gome feeling like they ripped you off

I can’t front. They did my hair pretty well.
The thing is, this place has too much fluff. And, way too overpriced. I mean waaaaaaaaaaay too overpriced.
