This clinic provides professional, high-​quality work. I came in for extensive dental work required after years of neglect, and continue to be a regular patients with no regrets regarding my choice.
The staff and dentists are genuinely concerned and friendly. I had a large extraction operation performed, and there was relatively little pain; they checked up on me for the next several days to make sure everything was ok. Also importantly, there was no judgment of my hygiene habits — they were very supportive, and I’d say my habits have improved much to the better thanks to them.
They are also very transparent and informative about specific procedures and costs involved. I felt no pressure whatsoever to have specific operations performed, just a clear outline of the different procedures.

Dr. Amarian is the best. He is super calm and patient. He doesn’t call you out on things and he genuinely cares for you.
I recently had a molar extraction in order to get an implant. The procedure was long, but I was sedated with nitrogen gas and the procedure was painless. I mean, the took a molar out while I was awake and all I heard was some minor cracking. I left feeling fine after an hour an a half of work in my mouth. Dr. Amarian and his staff called me every day for the next five days after the procedure to make sure I was healing properly.
Staff is really nice and accommodating, very professional and everything is hyper-​clean.

I’ve been coming here for a few years, and I’ve always had a good experience. Appointments generally start on time, and the staff is very pleasant.

I love love my dentist… yep. my dentist! Dr. Amarian and his staff know how to make my dental visits a pleasant experience. I’ve never left his office feeling rushed, unappreciated, or uninformed. I’m currently using Invisalign so I see them quite often. My two favorite aspects: 1. the friendly and gentle staff 2. The flexibility. Whether I schedule early morning visits or late afternoon visits, the staff is always flexible and understanding if I am running late.
So yes, I love my dentist but most importantly I adore his entire staff. A step above the rest!

Came to this office over 3 years ago because my previous dentist was still in the dark ages in terms of technology and new procedures of care .Dr.Amirians did the surgical procedure for my implant as oppose to going to another dentist as was the practice of my previous dentist. Im always happy with the quality of their work and his technician was instrumental in my purchasing of a water pick. They really are as good as advertised.

Dr. Amarian and his staff provide unsurpassed high quality dental care. They have to be the best kept secret in downtown Brooklyn. I am so happy I have them as my dentist office and Dr. Amarian as a dentist.

Came to this dentist after being recommended by a coworker, when I was suffering from tooth pain. The staff, from front desk, to dental assistants, to the dentist himself were friendly and professional. I know it’s hard to find a good dentist in NYC, but my time spent at Dr. Amarian’s office was quick and painless. He explained the options and performed the surgery the same day. Been feeling great since.

This office is very well run. Waiting time is minimal. They answer the phone, they email, they get your referrals and move you on to further care quickly. Dr Amirian is a soft spoken, gentle doctor, (who emailed me directly with answers to my questions) — a great quality for this profession!

I initially started going here when I chipped a small spot on the back of one of my lower teeth. They scheduled my appointment quickly, did a quick file-​down job that didn’t negatively affect the appearance or feeling of the tooth, and generally were very helpful and friendly through the whole process.
Since then, I’ve started going there for regular cleanings, and they do excellent work. I’ve had stain removal, cavity filling, and general cleaning, all of which were speedy and painless.
The one note I have is that during my last visit, I felt they were a little heavy-​handed on pushing Invisalign; I’d never had a dentist recommend any sort of tooth realignment before (my bottom row is a little crowded, but overall I have no issue with my teeth in terms of aesthetics, pain, or cleanliness), but the second I opened my mouth, I was told to get Invisalign. I understand that there can be a medical need for braces, but based on other dentists’ evaluations over the years, I’d say I’m far from an urgent case.
Overall, though, it’s a great little place, and it’s good to know that if I ever do need cosmetic dentistry done, the option will be there.

I found my way to Dr. Amirian’s office when I was overdue for a cleaning and needed to have some ancient cosmetic bonding looked at. I got a great cleaning and also ended up getting my bonding replaced with porcelain veneers, which have turned out beautifully. Dr. Amirian uses a great lab in NYC that was able to match my natural tooth color and create a much more realistic result than my old dentist had achieved through bonding.
Dr. Amirian was very gentle and patient throughout the whole process; he explained everything that he was doing and answered all of my questions. When my plastic temporary veneer chipped while I was eating something, the office saw me first thing the next morning. I’ve now had my final veneers for 48 hours, and I’m thrilled! i’m so glad that I took a chance and switched dentists, and I look forward to being a patient for years to come.

If you love sitting in cramped waiting rooms for hours, this is the dentist for you! Then, after sitting in a waiting room for over an hour, if you want to be told to come back later that day so that the procedure can actually be done, then by all means sign in at the sheet here! Who doesn’t love spending all their free time in dentists’ waiting rooms?
The best part is that the receptionist will even argue that your appointment was actually an hour after you scheduled it for, just to save face. The only consolation is that two other girls in the waiting room were told the same thing. So either we collectively all forgot what time our appointments were… or the good doctor needs to update his appointment software (or retrain his staff, more likely).
A bit of advice to the doc. if you’re running behind schedule and are going to have a roomful of patients waiting, at least apologize for the wait when you finally do see someone. My time is just as valuable as yours.

Going to the dentist is one of the least enjoyable activities one can do in NYC. However, it’s a must, so if you’re going to go, go to Dr. Amarian. As the daughter and sister of physicians, I have found that most doctors in the city are impersonal and care more about your insurance payment than your actual health. Dr. Amarian is a a rare exception. I have lived in NYC for over 6 years and feel confident that I have finally found a dentist that I trust and appreciate.
As a chronic tooth brusher and victim of hereditary weak gums, I had to get a mouth guard and recently had a procedure for filling in enamel that has worn down. He did a thorough job and followed up to ensure that I was following proper instructions for post-​procedural protocol.

I saw Dr. Amarian a couple months back to get an implant for one of my molars. Even though the process sounds a little invasive and frightening, I didn’t feel anything, and better yet, it was over so quickly. I’m a nervous person, but this was truly one of the most painless procedures I’ve had done. I write this review months later after the implant has healed completely without a single problem. Dr. Amarian was incredibly attentive, friendly, caring, and is clearly very good at what he does. The receptionists are also some of the nicest people I’ve dealt with in a medical office. I head back soon for the next step, and am confident I will be well taken care of by Dr. Amarian!

I just got finished having a porcelain veneer done on my front tooth. I was a little apprehensive going into the process because I am so particular about my teeth. Dr. Amarian and his staff made sure that I was 100% satisfied with the job. The tooth looks great. I am extremely happy with how it all turned out.

I have seen 3 of the dentists here. I have a history of gum issues & have been treated well. I have also seen a decrease in the swelling in my mouth. I would never choose a dentist based upon the office manager/​receptionist, but Diana and the others at the desk make the overall experience much more pleasant. My daughter, 15 years old, no longer dreads the dentist.

Ok how many of us hate to go to the dentist hands up how many of us have deep deep anxiety issues with the dentist hands up come on you know you do and I do too however I’m posting this because I suffer really bad with chronic anxiety and Dr. Amarian is fantastic truly truly wonderful he truly took the time to calm my anxiety down even gave me an rx to help with the anxiety gave me a full exam and cleaning and explained what he was going to do step by step and really took the time to explain my dental issues down to me I switched from my regular dentist to brooklyn dental because of the wonderfulness of Dr. Amarian and his staff they truly know how to be kind amd truly get that the anxiety I suffer is real and help me overcome my fears each and everytime I go. I needed to find a dentist within my admittedly-​lousy insurance network, and decided to go to Dr. Amirian based on the positive online reviews I had found. I was quite nervous going in for the first appointment, because it had been a couple of years since my last dental visit, and I knew I needed some major work done. Specifically, some old fillings needed to be replaced with crowns, and I needed an implant. I needn’t have been so reluctant, because from my first visit, which included a very thorough yet mostly painless deep cleaning, to the crown, and now to phase one of the implant procedure, my experiences with Dr. Amirian and his knowledgeable and friendly staff have been first-​rate. Diana at the front desk took me through all the financial and insurance paperwork, explaining everything, and Dr. Amirian called me to make sure I understood how and for what I was being charged, how and what the insurance covered, etc. Several visits later, I couldn’t be happier. Dr. Amirian’s work is top-​notch, he explains everything before and during the procedure, and follows up to make sure I’m feeling well and happy with the work. I have every confidence in him as a dentist, and have already recommended him to friends.

I am going to have to agree with the previous reviewers. Dr. Amirian is an outstanding dentist. I had a crown put in. I felt no pain during the procedure. He explained the procedure thoroughly, and I was in and out fairly quickly. I feel very comfortable with him as my dentist.
