This was a relatively empty bar on a Saturday night, which made it perfect for casual drinks and conversation. I like the décor in this place — cool industrial swing arm lights and Edison bulbs everywhere. It’s a little off the main hub-hub that is Williamsburg, but that’s what makes it so perfect for just a few relaxing drinks.

Super cozy bar with cheap drinks and lots of room. My friend had her birthday party here and it was a great night. The bartender was soooooo nice! A bit of a walk from the train station but very worth it, even when it’s super cold outside.

This was pretty empty on a Friday night, good for getting a seat or for meeting someone. The drinks were surprisingly well made, they have rittenhouse as their well rye! I have had much worse drinks at pretentious expensive cocktail bars. The seats could be more comfortable, tho not more stylish.

Great bar off the beaten path. Interesting physical bar shape. Drinks are simple and well made. Chill place. Don’t overrun it, don’t let it wither.

We hadn’t planned to come here, but after seeing a show across the street wondered in. I really liked the interior, good beer selection, friendly staff. There was a diner up the block and a few people got take-out and were eating it at the bar. I liked the old ice chest behind the bar a lot. Other customers were friendly and not afraid to strike up a conversation with you, and it didn’t come off douchey at all. Great spot.

This place is totally rad… cheap… good people… real laid back. The kind of bar I wish I had on my radar when I still lived in BK. Oh nostalgia…

This is my go-to neighborhood bar. It’s around the corner from my apartment; has great drinks, good music, and interesting décor; never gets too crowded; and isn’t filled with douchebags. What more do you need? That’s pretty much the winning combination for a bar, as far as I’m concerned.

Richlane is hands down one of the best bars in NY. The owners are very involved in the day to day operations and it shows(they even built the place themselves from what I’ve heard). Service is great and friendly, prices are super democratic, and the place always seems to have a perfect balance: not too full not too empty. Oh, and free popcorn! A very nice place. Strongly recommended.

I came here the night of the snowstorm right the thursday after NYE. The place had a super awesome vibe, great music, and the bar tender was super friendly. Apparently we were one of the only people to come in that night due to the blizzard. They have wine on tap too. If you are in the neighborhood and would like a good drink, you should stop in here!

I really like this place. I really like going here. I really enjoy myself when I’m there. I really can’t say enough about how much I like this place. I really would like to be more specific but it’s really hard for me. Really great creative cocktails. Really.

Our N. 5th apartment address gives us the chance to explore a wonderful array of bars and restaurants. You have this little pocket of happiness east of Roebling and north of Metropolitan. That spot that looks kinda creepy with the construction but it’s home to Jimmy’s, The Meat Hook, Beco, and Pete’s Candy Store. When you don’t want to scream over music or lose your coat or spend a ton of money this is a great area to visit. We hit up Richlane on that nice snowy night last Friday and it was exactly what we wanted. The décor is minimal and the bar is pleasantly small. The cocktails are 10 bucks so you’re praying they’re good. Luckily they most certainly are. Upon taking my first sip of my bourbon cocktail with walnut bitters(heck yeah, walnut bitters. uh, YUM!) I was floored. The gang took sips and we chattered about all the different flavors like a bunch of jerks. «SOMANYFLAVORS!» –we truly couldn’t help it though. They make drinks worth talking about and it’s a nice escape from the Billyburg hustle. It wasn’t perfect(for me) because I love me a big list of beers.

Richlane has a Scandinavian sense of style, not so much Ikea-esque(OK, maybe those appendage-like lighting fixtures are a bit Ikea-esque), but that of a clean and cozy winter hideaway. The handsome corner property features white walls against woodsy décor, minimal accent pieces, fogged-up front windows, and a giant icebox behind the bar that you’d otherwise assume was housing fresh-caught salmon instead of booze. And as a solid neighborhood joint, Richlane plays its part. But it is by no means a destination. On my latest visit, certain aspects of this watering hole just seemed the slightest bit off, and I’m not talking in a Williamsburg-hatin’ sort of way. The mix of music was honestly bizarre — ‘70s discos, ‘90s R&B, the latest trap tracks? I will, however, give the DJ credit for keeping it upbeat on a Saturday night. The back nook for darts is the tightest I’ve seen, but, hey, we somehow made a game of cricket work pressed up against the wall. And their liquor selection seemed awfully limited(perhaps this is on purpose, so shall I instead say«selective»?), especially on the whiskey front. Beam and Bulleit were the foundation of their offerings, plus a few other lesser-known brands. Missing were your staples like Jack and Maker’s. Still, the bartender served a rather heavy pour, so you know, I had that goin’ for me. Also, Richlane has free paper-bagged popcorn when you ask for it. Nothing was off about this. Nothing is ever off about free popcorn because, well, free popcorn is frankly always fantastic.

I’m a little suspicious of all the face-less reviews claiming this is the best bar in the neighborhood. Is it the best? ehhh — But it’s a comfortable, smaller space to grab some drinks. If not before, I’m interested in returning next spring to check out the outdoor space.

Very much like a bar you’d find in San Francisco. New and clean, spacey, lighting dim but a bit off — like a little Pier 1 Imports esque but OTHERWISE pretty cool space. Cocktails made with the finest ingredients, really delicious — vintage popcorn machine too. I don’t know it’s pretty cool — this spot is very unassuming, but not in the Hotel Delmonico unlabeled way — just like, literally very open and easy going. I don’t go that often but whenever I walk by it’s never very crowded — busy, but doesn’t get packed.

This place was good… ok bartender, good drinks, kind of typical dim atmosphere. A solid neighborhood bar, probably not a destination.

Every cocktail I’ve had here has been delicious, innovative, and fresh. There is also wine on tap, which unusual & fun. They have a good beer selection as well. So for me a pretty perfect bar. While the space is small, it feels intimate rather than cramped. The décor matches the vibe well, low key, without putting you to sleep. Look forward to coming here more often.

I loved the look of the place but the service was incredibly awful. I’m pretty sure both bartenders working that night were drunk or high. One kept taking away our half drunk drinks! We literally had to hold onto our glasses or we would blink and they’d be gone! And it took almost 20 minutes to get the attention of even one of them when the bar wasn’t busy ATALL. Just crazy, I’ve never had an experience like that.

Quaint bar with well crafted drinks. I had the Maiden’s Milk: creamy and tasted like a ginger snap. It was pretty thick, one of those drinks that sits in the bottom of your stomach. There was also a nice kick from the snap liquor that stings the back of your throat. I can’t remember the name of the mint lime gin drink, but it’s perfect if you’re looking for something refreshing. Extra points for the gold cappuccino machine with an eagle on top and the three hundred little candles lighting everything up.
