I sincerely can’t say enough about these guys. After I got into a car accident, Gil had the job of towing my car. He went out of his way to return my belongings, drive me to and from his shop, and to explain multiple insurance options. Any one looking for a professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and reliable service should definitely give these guys a try.

My family was in an accident near Red Hook’s shop in Brooklyn and our 2014 VW was crunched with $ 6500 in damages. One of the owners, Gil Padilla, arrived at the scene and offered assistance. After checking that his shop was recognized by our insurance carrier, we left it with him. Gil went out of his way to get the right forms signed and drove us back to our son’s in Manhattan. He was very polite and explicit in how the process worked. Red Hook finished the work in 3 weeks and it was perfect. Gil then had us follow him to the police precinct to pick up a copy of the accident report and then he had us follow him to IKEA (our original destination). Red Hook did everything you expect from a top notch shop.

Horrible auto shop!!! A job that was suppose to take no more than 2 weeks took 4 weeks. They would never call us. We would call them and get bad news every single time. Either a piece received was broken, a shipment didn’t come on time or they would find something else wrong with the car. It was unbelievable. Not one single courtesy call. Save yourself the headache of dealing with this auto shop. I will never bring my car to them again.

I think the other review is fake. I took my mazda 3 into these guys to get fixed in January 2012. Not only did they do a great job fixing it but they detailed up the car so it looked better than when i dropped it off. They also helped me get a good detail on a rental and gave me a few rides to the rental place and other locations. Super nice guys.

Took my car here for some body work. They seemed to be good and I looked at the reviews, which seemed good. All probably by the staff/​owners. Car looked good after repair and was fast. Then I personally took apart to look at job. Totally lied. They removed parts that were on car that were not damaged (should not have been touched to begin with) and patched up with glue/​tape where you cannot see. Cut wires and left hanging behind fenders. Stated OEM parts and when took off found to be a lie and they tried to customize non OEM garbage by drilling holes in it to fit side lights. The list goes on and on. Once they are done with your car do not even bother complaining, they will put you off. Never go to this place if you care about your car!
