I have been using them for over 15 years and they are the most reliable auto body and restoration in Brooklyn. Sean and Mauro are very professional and reliable. I would recommend everyone to use their shop and I sincerely believe that you would continue to do so. They are great guys and their work matches their personalities.

i am satisfied with the job that has been done to my car!
my whole front bumper was completely demolished and so was my right side door my father haves a mechanic shop right around the corner from this place and told me to take it to sean, an i did so.
sean is a great guy looked at my car and gave me a great deal to fix what needed to be fixed… took a process of 1 ½ week to fix completely.
i cant complain marvelous job done to my voltswagen jetta.

I brought my 1991 Mercedes to Prestige after receiving quotes from two other shops. Prestige came recommended from a friend and I’m glad I found them. I brought the car in for an estimate on Wednesday morning and I was met by the owner, Sean. He looked the car over and gave me an estimate that was a lot cheaper than two others I had received (I was paying out of pocket since I don’t have collision!). He told me to leave the car and it would be ready by Friday. It wound up not being ready until Saturday but since I didn’t need the car, no big deal. I was amazed at the quality of the work considering the damage that had been done to my car. Sean seems like an honest guy, he stuck to his price and the work was excellent. I couldn’t have found a better shop! I’ll be bringing my SL here when it’s time for a re-​spray!

On or about the 29 day of May 2013, I brought my 2006 Acura RSX Type S A-​Spec to Prestige Auto Body & Restoration for body work after being hit in the front by someone making an illegal u-​turn. I insisted on brand new Acura OEM Parts to maintain the factory fit and finish. All the parts were ordered on that day and left a $ 400.00 deposit and paid the remaining $ 3,000.00 in cash the following day. I was told the car would be done by the end of the week. So Monday, the 3 day of June 2013, I called and was advised by Sean Wells (the proprietor) that Plaza Acura had not delivered any parts. So I called Plaza and had them deliver the parts the following day. On or about the 6 day of June 2013, I called Prestige again. At that time Sean told me the car was in the spray booth being painted. So I thought to myself the car should be done the following Monday.
On or about the 10 day of June 2013, I appeared at Prestige Auto Body & Restoration and to my shock and awe, my car was still parked in the spot I left it and absolutely no work was performed. Moreover, I found there was a dent in the right front fender. The manager Mauro, told me he was leaning on the car drinking his coffee and he caused the dent, but he would repair it. Just then, they pulled the car into the shop for repairs. Mauro promised me that I would have the car by Wednesday June 12, 2013.
I called Prestige once again on or about the 12 day of June 2013 and, was told by Sean it would be ready Thursday, Friday at the latest. Fast forward to Friday… told to call at the end of the day. When I called at the end of the day, I was told it would be ready by Monday June 17, 2013 @ 3:00 p.m. At approximately 5:09 p.m. on Monday, I was told it would definitely 100% be ready by Tuesday June 18, 2013.
So I called and called and called on Tuesday but nobody is picking up the phone. I texted Sean and he just ignored my text messages. That prompted a visit from me the following morning. I arrived at 7:00 a.m. on or about the 19 day of June 2013 only to wait for the shop to open at 8:00 a.m. When I saw my car in the shop it was a mess. I asked the manager Mauro, what is going on? He replied the car is ready, we only need to wash it. So I asked him «Why isn’t anyone washing it?» mauro said you have to ask Sean. I said «SERIOUSLY?» you are holding up a car that was promised to be finished weeks ago because it needs to be washed?
I proceeded to inspect the car over and found the work far below industry standards. The fit and finish of the front bumper was off. the quality of the paint job was atrocious.
Dirt and bubbles, runs and sags… I could have done a better job with a roller in the desert during a sand storm.
I tried contacting Sean but he was not picking up his phone. I texted him advising that I was very unsatisfied with the job giving him the ultimatum to fix it and fix it immediately. When a customer pays cash, and cash upfront he/​she expects the job to take priority over all other work in the shop. That is simply the way this industry operates. Insurance companies pay body shops at a severely discounted rate and project restoration cars are projects over long periods of time. So when a customer comes in with cash in hand and pays for parts and labor up front-​that customer gets preferential treatment. That was not so in the instant case.
On or about the 21 day of June 2013, I decided to pull the car out of the shop. I believe that I had been extremely patient and understanding. Sean begged and pleaded for me to give him another chance to finish the car. He promised the car would be given top priority and come out perfect. So I yielded and agreed to bring the car back in the middle of the week.
Later that afternoon, while changing the oil on my car, I found the underbody frame was sheared open. I returned to Prestige Auto Body & Restoration the following morning (June 22, 2013). Sean was up in the mountains, so I spoke with Mauro, the manager and asked who pulled the car? He replied that he did.
I asked him how he could possibly use that fragile point as an anchor? He said «I’ve been working in a body shop for 20 years and have always pulled cars this way.» To wit, I replied that I have worked for Ford/​Lincoln/​Mercury for 26 years, have earned the title «Senior Master Technician, am an ASE Master Technician, NYS DMV Inspector and worked with the MTA as a Line Supervisor. I have done body work and painted cars-​this is absolutely unacceptable, you compromised the structural integrity of the vehicle, this is below industry standards and you are nothing more than a BUTCHER.
So dear readers all pay heed and avoid this place like the plague!!! They are disorganized, sloppy, butchers, bad communication and, a place to be avoided. If they did this to a CASH paying customer imagine what other horror stories are out there.
