Pianoland

We asked Pianoland to move a baby grand from the basement of a music school to our apartment, and then to move a Clavinova from our apartment to the fourth floor of the music school. There were numerous flights of stairs involved. The movers — a crew of three — showed up on time and made both moves quickly and safely. Both pianos were delivered in the same order they were received. Pianos were protected well from the weather and elements on pickup, in transit, and on delivery. Great job.

We had a gigantic piano on her first floor. My wife was talking about a crane to get it upstairs. I called piano land at 10 and by 2 PM wife piano was successfully installed upstairs. Happy wife, and we got our dining room back. They did a very professional, terrific job.

Very professional and courteous team. Worked quickly wrapping piano and moved it carefully through the apt and hallways. Arrived on time and delivered it with ease. I highly recommend.

I will never use any other piano mover, that’s how impressed I am with Pianoland! We moved a piano from Chicago and were told by the long-​distance movers that there was no way it would fit up our narrow staircase. They just left it on the sidewalk.
We called Pianoland for a second opinion. They agreed to take a look and decided it was possible and got the piano upstairs — pretty quickly too. Not only did they show up punctually, but were courteous the whole time. I was seriously awestruck by how they were able to accomplish the impossible. No damage to the piano or building at all. These guys seriously know what they are doing.

I have tried literally every other mover in the city. PIANOLAND IS THE BEST. All the others… Either they don’t return your call, have unreliable movers, are incredibly rude, don’t show up when they say they’re going to, charge you extras… Etc.
Pianoland is the best– call them first and save the hassle. They also are THE CHEAPEST! That’s why I give them five stars. No mansplaining, no back talk– these guys are extremely polite and they take great care of your piano.

Alex and Aleksey were extremely helpful in moving my grandmothers piano into my house. I still can’t believe Aleksey and his crew actually got it to fit through an extremely narrow entrance. Watching them coordinate their movements to make it work was pretty amazing. Thank you so much for your hard work. I would recommend pianoland to everyone looking to move a piano.

When they were giving me a quote over $ 100 less than all the other companies I called, I was highly suspicious, but they were incredible. They arrived promptly at 10 on the dot, and had the piano wrapped, loaded and on the truck by 10:15. We spent longer stuck in traffic than the total time it took two guys to load and unload an upright piano. Even fixed a wobbly leg free of charge. Can’t recommend them enough.

The person answering phone was rude. I ended up choosing another company.

I have bought a piano, had it moved 2 times and tuned 3 times with Alex. I’ve found that he and his staff are through, reliable, and trust worthy. Alex has always been very helpful. When our family was searching for a new instrument that was right for us he went above and beyond to help us find it. He is always very responsive to emails and inquiries. He works quickly but carefully and his movers are also totally amazing. I would recommend pianoland to any friend or person looking for a new or used piano, a mover or a tuner. All around I would give 6 stars if I could!

Used them today 04÷28÷15 for Piano moving. Called on sunday to arrange it and Alex gave me very good price –Less than ½ of one other price I got and a lot less than their closest bid. Very straightforward communication. Everything went as planned. Piano well covered and strapped into van. Will definitely recommend them for price and service. Excellent.

I picked this piano mover because of the great Unilocal reviews and I’m really glad that I did. We called Alex yesterday to arrange to move and store my baby grand piano while my house undergoes some renovations after a flood. Alex came by the same day and looked at and priced the job. His price was reasonable and slightly less than some others that I had spoken to. We arranged for the pickup today (Saturday) and the guys came exactly on time and did an excellent job moving the piano in less than ideal conditions at my house. They were very courteous and professional. I was able to pay by credit card, which made me feel more confident. Someone else that I had called wanted cash or a certified check. I am very confident that my piano will be well taken care of while it is in storage. They are also going to do some repairs to it so it comes back better than it left.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! moved an upright 1985 Kimball piano, not only did they show up sooner than expected, they wrapped up the piano so well I couldn’t believe it. Once they took it away all my anxiety of transportation disappeared. When I called i wasn’t sure what to expect since the person i dealt with had a heavy accent and really short with answers (so if you call and you get this don’t worry) THEY ARE SOOO GOOD, professional and so reasonably priced. They asked me to email them the information and they responded immediately. CANNOT RAVE enough about this place!

I used Pianoland twice in the past couple of months, once to move my spinet piano (from a house in Brooklyn to a third floor walkup in Manhattan!), and once for tuning. I was very happy with the service I received both times.
The actual move was seamless, and very reasonably priced (especially compared to some quotes I had gotten). Payment was smooth as well; you can pay by credit card or cash and they email you a receipt in addition to giving you a paper bill.
Post move, the piano needed a serious tuning (it hadn’t been touched in years, if not decades!), so I emailed Pianoland again. Alex came by on a weekend and was done in about an hour. It’s not quite perfect yet (to be expected because of how long it’s gone without tuning), but it’s sounding a LOT better. Thank you, Pianoland!

I plan cultural events for a living and Pianoland was one of the easiest vendors I’ve ever worked with. Constantly professional, responsive, and on time (actually, early!) — they made everything so easy for me. I would DEFINITELY use them again for my piano rental/​tuning needs. Alex is a gem!

The two guys who moved my piano, Alex and Sasha, were supermen. I mean, seriously, my jaw dropped. They moved a 500 lb. Yamaha upright down two flights of stairs in 25 minutes flat. It takes me longer to shower and shave in the morning. They thoroughly wrapped the piano in blankets. The entire move, including a 50-​minute drive uptown, took less than two hours.
Also, Alex and Sasha put the piano on caster cups that I had previously purchased. (Sasha is a beast: He picked up the piano by himself as Alex slid the cups underneath.) They advised me to buy felt for the bottom of my piano bench to avoid scratching my new floors. Thanks, guys!
I wish I had known about Pianoland when I purchased my piano 5 years ago, because the first time I moved it, it took 3 – 4 guys about 90 minutes to go up two flights of stairs and they chipped the finish! The guys who work for Pianoland are experts — and super sweet.
I can’t recommend Pianoland enough. They also gave me the lowest price I could find. Do yourself a favor and call these guys!
