Petals Floral Design

They came through with gorgeous flowers for my mother’s 60^th! Someone recommended an «upscale» manhattan florist. He seemed to just «yes» me to death but insisted on using hydrangea as a filler and could not promise me that they would not be a pastel color (which I didn’t want). I wanted bright warm colors like red, fuschia and orange. Andrea at Petals was super helpful from the second I spoke to her on the phone. When I met with her, she was very nice and showed me exactly which flowers she would use and I knew she understood. I could not have been happier with the centerpieces she put together and during a busy Valentines Day weekend. It brightened up the room and brought the décor of the party together! I highly recommend!

My boyfriend has been getting me flowers every week for the past 5 months from this amazing place. The flowers he comes home with are always fresh beautiful unique and last a whole week, which brought me to writing a review. He always raves about the great service he gets and how much thought and care the owner and workers put into picking their flowers. The flowers are even sprayed with water before leaving the store to bring out the full scent for when I receive them. I am so grateful not only for the man who brings home the flowers but also the the store that makes it possible. Thank you.

Great Place! Needed petals in an emergency and they had only one bag, cus you have to order them a day or two in advance. Bought the bag and a dozen roses, and they literally plucked off the petals off every rose for me and made them look like three bags of rose petals. Haven’t seen such a great service in a while– and I go to a lot of places.

Tons of floral options, not just your usual standard florist-​y stuff. They have a lot of diffrerent, modern designs not just your grandmas flowers, ya know what I mean?
The staff is friendly and made suggestions (that I could actually appreciate) when I didn’t know what I wanted. A lot of gifts and things to choose from too. They also make balloon arrangements in there so I was totally set in one stop. I love that.

I rushed in here early one morning, frantic to get a couple of single roses for my female coworkers on International Women’s Day. I was very surprised by the selection of flowers, gifts, and cards that are offered here.
The gentleman who helped me was very patient and did a fine job of wrapping each rose and adding a matching ribbon. While he prepared the flowers, I looked around the establishment with my mouth hanging open. There are balloons, teddy bears (of all sizes), baskets, figurines, and greeting cards (that look home– or locally-​made). This is different from the other flower shops I’ve visited, which only offer flowers and lawn/​patio ornaments.
Right across the way is Rite Aid (with its own parking lot), which offers a greater selection of commercial greeting cards and other knickknacks. If you can’t find something at Petals, you can always quickly make a run to Rite Aid.
A week after I first walked into Petals, one of the coworkers approached me and asked, «Where did you buy that rose?! It’s still alive. My husband got me a bouquet for Valentine’s Day and it barely lasted 3 days. The single rose you gave me is still strong and fragrant!» I was very glad to hear that she enjoyed her rose (and tiny teddy bear, Tatty
).
If I’m ever in the neighborhood and need another emergency bouquet, I’ll definitely stop in. It was a very pleasant shopping experience.
