Pescada

Of all the local kosher restaurants, Pescada tops most of them.
Chef Lior is an absolute genius when it comes to creating amazing fish dishes. I also love that he will substitute ingredients for me if I’m not a fan of something. (Goes a long way)
Service used to be absolute crap but they’ve upped their game by 100 and have a flawless game going on.
Food is consistent and delicious. Will post pictures of my dishes with descriptions.
If you’re looking for a romantic dinner or a party with family — Pescada is where you should go.

Great food. Great and friendly service. Was well worth the 10 minute wish to get a seat. Would recommend anyone in Brooklyn to stop by at least once to try it. Chances are you’ll be coming back.

I had such a good time at this brooklyn gem so I ate there twice during my short stay in Brooklyn. This is one of the best fish restaurant I ate in Brooklyn and by far the best Kosher food in Brooklyn.
The entire experience was excellent. The service was great, our waiter was very nice and helpful (we had a hard time choosing a fish for the main course).
The food was very tasty and the presentation was stunning.
I would defenently return to this place the next time Im in the area, highly recommend!
Personally I highly recommend the Tuna dish and the Sea Bass, both of then were amazing.

A restaurant like this deserves a Michelin Star. To begin with, we were given prompt seating during a very busy night, the place was packed, and you see nothing but order; waiters walk as opposed to run and everything seemed flawlessly managed. Staff is friendly and know their menu and seems they have the vast knowledge and passion for the food they serve, which is rare to see in a kosher restaurant. Dishes are artfully put together. Dishes are well balanced and rich in flavor. Best appetizer my wife and I loved, the avocado piccolo which does not look like much but when you try it, u just want to order another to go. Branzino and Sea-​bass cannot be described with words. Side dishes, try the zucchini sticks and the Pescada fries. If there is something you find here is that the people are proud of the food they produce and we can tell that we were not the only happy costumers. We can’t wait to come back for more.

Very expensive place for dairy, I had pizza tonight and it wasn’t good. I’m disappointed…
Service lacked, and my pizza took literally 45 minutes to come out. I’m deff not coming here again. Pisses me off that places with bad service and eh ok food charge so much.

Great place.
Pricey but delicious food, great service — polite waiters. It was pretty busy and noisy when we went but we were seated within 15 minutes and the food did not take too long to come either.
Definitely coming back here.

There is really one reason why I’m giving only 2 stars.
Any entrée comes with 2 «sides» to choose from.
The «sides» are as follows
roasted potatoes
mashed potatoes
fried potatoes
rice
Now, the «sides» above come with the entrée but the sides below cost an EXTRA $ 6.
even though they’re ALL Sides.
sauteed broccoli
sauteed spinach
zucchini sticks
So lets put aside that Pescada is located in the middle of a community populated with people who are, for the most part, health and weight conscious. And discuss the fact that after paying around $ 35 for an entrée, my only options of sides are from 4 different carbs.
I came here for my birthday right after a long exercise class and wanted to be healthy, so instead of a dressed salad i opted for a piece of grilled fish. With all of the potato options i couldn’t even get a plain baked potato. So i got one side of spinach and used that as my 2 sides as to avoid the extra charge (my friends were paying for me)
I just think its ridiculous for a nice restaurant to exclude certain items like that.
You gain a little here and lose a little there.
Its just completely ridiculous. I’m sorry that veggies are more expensive for the restaurant but im not ordering an expensive fish to clog my arteries with every type of cooked potato because it comes with the fish. Its just not right.

The food and service is excellent here. The food is plated beautiful. I took off stars because the noise level is a bit much. I was also very bothered that every dish brought out was chipped! I’ve never seen something like that at a high-​end restaurant.

One star is for the good food. The service killed the rest of the stars. Literally terrible. The waiter gave use one price for the wine and charged us another. When we brought it to his attention he argued with 4 people at the table who all heard him tell us a cheaper price. Even worse, I received 3 phone calls while IN the restaurant asking if I was going to make my reservation. Way to ruin my dinner. Foods not that good to go back after an experience like that.

Went back here a few weeks after my original review and happy to say they are getting better.
They called us 15 minutes before the reservation to confirm, which made us feel better. We were seated promptly and the service was very quick and attentive. Food was excellent.

Ok place. Would NOT come back.
The good:
Fish was excellent, possibly the best my wife and I ever had.
Napkins felt good, nice and soft, so holds on your lap well.
Lighting was good.
Waiter, overworked but good attitude and service.
Nice décor, very modern style look.
The bad:
Bad music, same song, or very similar one repeating with long pauses in middle.
No wine list.
Crappy wine is available. Half of the whites we got were not chilled. $ 10/​glass seems over priced for low end wine.
Pasta was eh.
Had to ask for bread that was supposed to be there when we started. Had to ask twice and still waited forever.
Tablecloths were paper. Really? How do you charge $ 30₄₀ for fish and $ 20 for spaghetti and have it on paper tablecloths. At least give some crayons!
Water glasses only refilled after asking, every time!
Sad, I was excited to go.
A new dairy place in Brooklyn, I thought how hard can it be to make it good. Apparently hard, very hard.

Most amazing dairy restaurant in Brooklyn! Delicious food, great prices! And great customer service… Very friendly environment great for everyone. High end restaurant but the prices are regular. The food looks amazing and tastes even better !!
