This place is pretty good but the dim sum is still not top notch. They are better than average. I guess I set too high an expectation. I would rate 3.5 to 4 stars rounding up to 4.

Came here with my family for Father’s day for dinner. I made sure to call in advance for a table because this place can get really packed. When I walked in, I informed the person in front of the house and we were seated right away. Customer service was good, the food came out really fast, but the price was kind of steep for that day. We ordered walnut prawns and substituted broccoli for another vegetable due to a family member who has an allergy to it, tofu in lobster bisque, pea shoots, half a fried chicken, crab meat with yee mein and one abalone. Everything was good and overall it was a good experience.

Been here for dim sum a few times already and I do have to say it is pricy.
They have two floors. The main floor is pretty big, but It does get crowded easily. My family and I went on a Saturday afternoon and I was surprised that we didn’t have to wait.
So we went upstairs and there were empty tables.
I have to say that the employees who were pushing the cart didn’t come to us. We had to get there attention in order for us to get our food.
I have to say the quality of the food in park asia is better than most of the dim sum places I’ve been to.
This is a great place to get dim-​sum and spend quality time with your family/​friends. Service wise was just okay. The employee who was in charge of our table was attentive tho. He did re-​fill our teapots a few times.
Avoid weekends to wait for a long time especially around 12 – 1. Come early of you don’t want to wait and if you’re lucky, you might get a table upstairs or the main floor.

Wow, surprisingly good!
I love how Park Asia went through a complete renovation and turned into a beautiful modern chinese restaurant. Wonderfully large floor length windows light up the entire restaurant, creating a nice airy feeling to your meal… even when you are crowded in a Chinese restaurant.
My friend and I came here on a Sunday for Dim Sum — while other places were having lines for 30 minutes for seating, this place was only a mere 20 minutes. (Aka… not much of a difference). The wait wasn’t so bad and not nearly as crowded as all the other places nearby.
The food? Well the dim sum food was pretty good — if somewhat average. However, I really did enjoy coming here for dim sum and I truly enjoyed my experience here more than the other near by places if not for the fantastic view and vibe you get from the wonderful renovation.
Come here for dim sum!

A Dimsum place with a very nice interior. High ceiling with nice chandeliers and big windows. It feels so fancy inside, there’s also an upstairs section. Their dimsum is mediocre yet expensive. I decided to come here last minute with my mom on a Saturday and it was really busy. Thinking we probably won’t be able to get seats or at least have to wait and share a table with other groups, it turns out we only had to wait a few minutes and we were seated at an empty table promptly.
The ladies who push the dimsum carts around were all up in your face before our chairs even got warm. Too attentive to the point where I was about to tell her to just drop all of what’s in her cart onto our table. I obviously didn’t do that and controlled myself. We waited a while until the cart with the regular dimsums came around. We got the har gow (duh) and siu mai (duh duh). Both are a must-​try at dimsum places to see if they’re even good at making the basics but I have to say they were only decent here. We also beef tendons (she gave us one that didn’t look to fresh and was super small in portions so we asked her to give us the one below that and no surprise it was a way nicer and bigger bowl of beef tendons) and beef tripes (too pricey for the amount we got — $ 4.50). The beef tendon was flavorful however they weren’t cooked enough, thus some were quite hard and took a few more chews instead of melting in my mouth. The beef tripe is not worth mentioning.
I waited so long until the bun cart finally came and I got my favorite salted egg yolk custard bun. I honestly have to say, these buns are pretty good here. Usually at most places, these buns are filled with oil when you open it in half. I know it’s suppose to spill out but I haven’t seen one that has not much to no oil at all. It was still really yummy and not too sweet. I wanted to get another order of that but my mom had to stop me. Then we ended with the curry cattle offal. It had a great yet not too strong/​spicy of a curry taste to it and the offals weren’t cooked too much, which makes it really chewy.
The dimsum in my opinion was a bit pricey for the quality we got. I felt we were paying a bit for the fancy environment rather than for the food. I might come back again for dimsum if nearby places get hard to find seats on weekends and this place is as easy as it was the other day.

My family and I always come here for dim sum for two reasons: they have free parking (if you can get here early enough before the brunch time, dim sum rush) and their dishes are superb.
My family’s from Hong Kong so we set a pretty high bar for dim sum restaurants. We love Park Asia the most among all the other places on 8^th Ave because they consistently deliver unique, delicious dim sum. We always get the typical dishes such as chicken feet, shrimp rice noodles, siu mai, but we also get their specialty dishes too. They have this steamed taro cake dish that’s pretty good and their lau sa bao (steamed buns with golden egg yolk and sugar inside that leaks out as soon as you bite into them) are glorious.
They’ve remodeled the place a few years back. It’s a lot bigger now with a second floor and feels very open with its wide windows. Definitely my favorite dim sum place in this area and I recommend it to all my friends who visit me in Brooklyn.
4 stars only because I don’t think any Chinese place along 8^th Ave ever deserves 5 stars. We’re not exactly known for clean premises and top-​notch service.

Over priced, mediocre, no pork in the pork fried rice. This place is for natives, difficult for others to navigate. They don’t want or need our businesses.

Hands down my favorite place to get dim sum on a weekend. I usually come here on Saturdays or Sundays with my family in a group of 5 to 6. Wait time is decent, but can vary depending on what time you get here. I’m usually here around 12 to 1, and the wait varies anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes. Parking here is usually easier to find here as well, considering it’s next to a park, and there are many people coming and going.
The food is always fresh, and they have a larger variety to choose from. Some dim sum places have very slim pickings, and you can go for half an hour with only a few food carts passing your table. That has happened to me a couple of times at other places, and I simply ask for the check after getting tired of waiting. At Park Asia, this place is usually always hopping, and people are forcing plates at you, which is a good thing. The staff here is also very attentive, and not rude. The atmosphere here is new, clean and better than most other dim sum places.
Overall, this is best dim sum place in Brooklyn and I highly recommend it over the others. They also make really good durian pastries, which is hard to find with other dim sum places.

Had all the dim sum I wanted, ha gao, sticky rice, cha su bao, shumai, and the rest were bonus. Taste was as expected – good. We had our wedding rehearsal dinner here and they did a wonderful job back then. Their Peking duck was most popular with my guests.

This restaurant is super modern and has great décor. Seat covers are pretty new. Food is okay. Usual Cantonese fare. Some dishes were a bit saltier than others but to be expected from a large venue. Red bean soup was a little watery and not as sweet. They had a really unique jello papaya dessert, shaped like a fish. It was pretty neat. Servers are friendly and actually ask questions to see who wanted what portion. A bit hard to find parking after 7PM but there are some spots behind the restaurant.

This place is so reliably… reliable. My family and I live close by and know the staff really well, so it’s consistently a place we end up having dinner at when the out of neighborhood family drops in.
The staff is relatively friendly, the service is decent, and the food is honestly just okay. Nothing too spectacular, but nothing so awful you’d never come back. Price is not bad, noise level is pretty standard for a dim sum place, and hey, there’s parking available in the area.

We waited for almost an hour for a table of four on a late Sunday dim sum over the 65 street. We call up this place, and there was no line. So my friends and I came here instead, i hangry, cannot wait any longer.
We were seatedright away. Many aunties with their food carts were going around, I like this place, they have more creative dishes than the other places. Yes, it is a bit pricy compare to the other spots in Sunset Park, but it’s worth it. On top of the time wasted waiting in line for the other place, a little bit more money is really okay to be seated right away with also good food. Time is money! No more waiting around for dim sum, Yay!
This will become our spot going forward :)

Nothing says «I love you» more on Valentine’s Day than coming here at 10AM in the morning for Dim Sum. We braved the cold and decided to walk here, to give ourselves a better excuse to indulge more on the limitless possibilities that dim sum offers. By the time we walked into the door, I couldn’t feel my thighs.
Was it worth it? YES
Was it cost effective? How does $ 40.00 sound?
Was the food delicious and warm? Absolutely!
Did you blend into the highly concentration Asian crowd they cater to? Not only did we wear red, but we gave a Chinese New Year donation to the lion dancers that came in during our meal!
Come here only if you can do the following:
1) Eat a fair amount of food in one sitting; this is not for the picky eaters out there.
2) You are perfectly fine mildly not knowing 100% of what you just pointed to on the dim sum cart, and decide to eat it anyway.
3) You are also perfectly fine not having a romantic table for two
4) You are also big on sharing small plates with the one you love… awwww!
Some items we had were crystal shrimp dumplings, beef ribs, shumai, soup dumplings, beef and shrimp rice noodle rolls, and much more!
Greatly attentive staff that refilled our tea pot twice, and once they realized we could actually eat with chopsticks, they were more inclined to bring their carts to our table.
Already trying to think of another excuse to come back!

Came here to celebrate the Lunar New Year with family. We had a good experience.
Constructive Criticism: The room for 14 was a bit small and the chairs were placed one right next to another making it pretty tough to move around if you wanted. But it did make for a close environment for family to sit together and enjoy a meal.
Positives: The food selection was to be expected for authentic style Chinese food. We ordered 12 dishes for the table ranging from fish soup, ginger scallion lobster, peking duck, salt and pepper pork chops, sauteed pea sprouts, longevity noodles, and more. Everyone was very satisfied with what was ordered and food quality was pretty good!
The pace of the meal moved really fast. I felt like everything came out at once rather than being paced out. For some, you make like that. It certainly wasn’t rushed because we were told to take our time eating and to enjoy the karaōke for as long as we liked.
Karaōke came on a flat screen TV mounted to the wall. Two wireless microphones were included as well as a touch screen system that allowed for searching and queueing of song selections. Both American and Chinese music is offered so it satisfied both the youngins and that grown Chinese folks. The songs aren’t SUPER updated but not too out of date either. They had songs with Nicki Minaj and Beyonce so still pretty current…
The cost of the room was to spend at least $ 400+ on your meal which we hit easily with the dishes we ordered. What you didn’t finish they packed up for you to take home. For me, this was a 3.5 star rating if I could give halves! Almost a 4 if it wasn’t so cramped and there was less confusion when ordering. Thank goodness I spoke and understood enough Chinese to get me through ordering all the food I wanted! For everyone who does not speak Chinese, there are A LOT of pictures on the menu and it is in English by menu number (for example «B6» would be «x» dish). You would do just fine ordering off what is pictured in the front of the menu unless you wanted something very very specific.
Would come here again with family to enjoy a meal and some karaōke.

This is the one of the best restaurant in the Sunset Park area for dim sum. On the weekends, at 1pm, there was still a wait for a table. At 3pm, the restaurant was still 80% full of dim sum diners.
What makes this restaurant different then any of the others in the area? It was recently renovated, so it looks much grander. The dim sum tasted fresher, virtually no msg. The bathroom is so much cleaner. There is actually an attendant who cleaned it routinely during the dining hours.
Dim sum:
Har gau: perfectly cooked. The white dumpling wrapper had a chewy texture. It was very easy to pick up with my chopsticks. An over cooked har gua would be too soft and break apart easily.
Sui mei-​you can never go wrong with this.
Lau sau bao — one if my favorite buns. Go see my pic of it. The picture explains the yummy goodness better then my words.
Chicken bao — white steamed bread with chicken meat. Yummy. But I just really like steam buns.
Cheung fun-​shrimp, beef, jia leung (Chinese fried dough) — all different varieties were good. They do not skimp on the rice noodle wrapper.
Beef balls-​always order this! I love the way restaurants make it with cilantro and other seasonings.
There was so much more dim sums that we ordered, and they were all great.
Service was quick and efficient. Teapots were refilled quickly. Waiters got extra chopsticks and plates for us. One of the teacups was dirty and the waiter apologized and quickly got us a replacement.
Their dinner items were great also. You can taste the difference in the dishes. Virtually no msg. You must call and make reservations on the weekends as the restaurant is very popular. There is a wedding banquet on most weekends. They also have a small dining room in the upper level.

I came here on a monday afternoon around 2pm.
I was surprised that they told me that Dimsum is from 8am to 3pm.
There are plenty of dishes to choose from and it’s more interior decorated if you compare this place to the other dimsum areas.
I will come back in the afternoon or early mornings again.
If you can avoid the crowds, you will have a delicious time dining in this luxurious setting.

My favorite place to have dimsum only because I’ve had the best dimsum experiences here. Tender meat, fresh steamed dishes and clean venue.
It’s pretty grand and usually busy. They serve dimsum until 3pm! I usually get the spare ribs, short ribs, spicy tripe (only place I’ve had it) and shrimp shumai. Paired with a pot of chrysanthemum tea! I like other dishes and would recommend other dishes, I just don’t know how to say them. Haha

Park Asia is one of the more recently updated restaurants in Bay Ridge /​Dyker Heights /​8^th Ave Chinatown. It is a lavishly decorated banquet hall, good for functions like a wedding, party, or typical dim sum fare during lunchtime. The huge windows let in massive amounts of light, and the high ceilings simply incomparable as far as Chinese restaurants go in all of Southern Brooklyn. With a second floor, one can expect that there’s quite a bit more than the eye can see. The quality here is top notch as can be expected for this venue, but be it as it may, you will likely expect to pay for it. It’s quite good, and on the more expensive side.
I’m curious to try their regular menu, as I would expect a seafood restaurant of this grandeur to be of high quality as well. Time will tell. I’ll be sure to come back for that.

Their renovated look is a night and day comparison to their original setup from years before. I’m glad they finally reopened for business. Their dim sum isn’t the best but their dinner is pretty darn awesome. You can order melon soup served in the actual melon itself. Not a lot of other places provide that as an option. Large tables for large families and they even have private rooms on the second floor that look down onto the main dining hall.
Not everything they served were top notch, some cooked chicken options resulted in dry very meat. I’d recommend getting something with sauce instead of dry roasting. Their steamed lobster is a good choice. They also have lots of your traditional Chinese dinner choices like shrimp with walnut, Peking duck, clams in black bean sauce, sweet and tangy pork chops and fried rice.

Dinner was a bit pricey and the food was good but average. At park Asia you are paying for their décor more than the quality of their food.
I have been looking forward to having dungeoness crab sticky rice for a while. Boy was I disappointed. It was so bland and there wasn’t much roe in the crab.
The other traditional dishes like shrimp with walnuts, peking pork chops, and steamed fish were all good but average.
If you’re looking for traditional Cantonese food and don’t mind shelling out some money for nice décor, then come here.
