Palm Gardens Nursing & Rehabilitation

This palm gardens claims they reached out to me never ! If I’m not authentic how do I know nurse Ophelia? Why would I waste my time?

If your loved one is truly one you love. Don’t Send them here. Please read these reviews and trust me when I say… go elsewhere. Their lack of care for my family member was very disappointing and frustrating to say the least. I hope they shut this place down

My story there about my loved one is too painful to tell. Suffice to say that what they relate is accurate and similar to my very sad experience.
Please stay far away if you really love someone.
They are awful.

My grandmother recently had surgery and was too weak to go home afterwards. We were happy with the service there. Her room was very nice (I think they recently renovated). They took good care of her. She was able to go home much stronger after rehab thanks to the excellent physical therapy staff. I’d definitely reccomend this rehab center.

No stars for this HORRIBLE place. My grandmother went there for rehab after hip surgery. The attendants are always on a break. I would get calls from different case workers everyday. One didn’t know what the other was doing. I can’t believe I’m saying my grandmother having to go back to the hospital was a Godsend, but it was. After she was taken to the hospital, the next day I received a call from the Palms Gardens wanting to set up a meeting regarding my grandmother’s case. Here’s the kicker MY GRANDMOTHER WAS NO LONGER THERE AND THEY DIDN’T KNOW!!! If you can about your family member DON’T send them to this place!!!

I am being generous saying one star. This place almost killed my brother who was in the facility for rehabilitation after surgery. He got ill (we thought it was just a cold) but he kept getting worse and we asked for a doctor to be called from Friday until Saturday night and we were told that due to them being an orthodox facility unless it was immediately life threatening there was no doctor available only tylenol and cough syrup. We waited until Sunday to ask for a doctor again since now it wasn’t the sabath and they finally sent a practioner nurse who gave him 2 prescriptions for medicines and said it was COPD. We told her he never had that before. Bottom line, he went to a surgical follow up appointment and asked the surgeon to put him in the hospital. The nursing home fought with him about taking his things wanting to hold him there as hostage. Once he was in the hospital they confirmed he had severe pneumonia and if he hadn’t been hospitalized he might have died within a few more days. This place is dangerous if they won’t give you medical care. I called and there are no people (other then the nursing staff) in administration to help you or fix any problem that is more then simple. Bottom line is I would encourage anyone other then very healthy people to avoid this nursing home like the plague.
