On Time Car Service

The worst car service in the world !!! They said car will be there in 5 min yeah ok … 45 minute wait they are liars they are rude and hung up on me 5 times this morning then had the audacity to call me back to ask if I still wanted my car … In the meantime I called Active car service and they got me in two minutes. Lesson learned Never use on time because they are never on time!

This car service is NEVER on time they say 5 minutes then your waiting for 20 minutes but when you call to ask for your car they say OH it’s one block away when it never is and you are waiting for another ten minutes. They should change their name to NEVER on TIME !!!
I am 30 minutes late to work due to on time car service go figure !

Worst experience ever!

I am writing this based on one trip. I went from BK to JFK airport on a Saturday afternoon. I had the nicest driver. Walter was his name. He picked me up in a very nice clean car. I have traveled in some car service cars that made me wonder if I’d make it or not. He mentioned as we started our trip that the highway was backed up and that we would take the streets. I thought this would take forever and wondering where he was going. He knew all the back streets that got us to the airport while avoiding all the delays on the highway. He also was so nice to chat with that it made my trip so enjoyable. Great driver and car and a very reasonable price!

That’s terrible customer service. I ask the lady how much from kings borough college to 8av? She told me price and said there were a few cars can went there. ok I told her I wanna make reservation for that. Then she told me no more car can pick me up. I ask the reason, she didn’t say anything and hung up…

Worst service. Completely unreliable. Falsely promote fast service. Had to wait almost for 15 minutes on the street and the car never showed up. Don’t accept business if you can’t handle the load.

Wouldn’t use them again had horrible trip with them. Driver was rude and obnoxious, and even though his GPS kept on rerouting him and my phone running waze kept on rerouting him. He continued on his own and got stuck at every light. Mini-​van was clanking all over and was from most uncomfortable rides ever.

I’ve taken this car service multiple times to the airport. Each time I’ve felt disgusted and unsafe.
Last time I remembered, all front seat drivers had to wear seat belts. Last time I remembered, it was a safety hazard for my seat belt to be broken. Last time I remembered, car service cars shouldn’t smell like smoke and be adorned with disturbing graffiti or sunflower seeds.
Absolutely disgusting. The drivers are also super rude. They will give you one price and change it later by telling you «the ten dollar tip isn’t enough». I’ve always hated people who ask for more tip because I think I’m a fair tipper. If I feel like I gave you what I felt based on my experience then I don’t think it should be argued. But even when you give more tip, they will still get angry and totally just sit like a heavy lump in their car and decide that because you gave them what they asked that they will leave all your bags of luggage in the back trunk for you to get yourself. And if you don’t know how to close the door, they’ll yell at you instead of closing the damn door themselves.
Absolutely rude and disgusting. Crap, id give this place zero stars if I could but Unilocal likes to be nice and give them at least one. If you see these cars waiting for you outside the airport, pick something else– maybe a taxi. At least I’ve never heard a complaint from a taxi driver about how «poorly» I’ve tipped and their seat belts work… plus they take cards (absolute must for NYC)!

RUDE DISPATCHERS. Didn’t even listen to where I was going before they hung up on me. Just told me that I had to call again and that there was a car coming, even though I hadn’t told them the address. Don’t ever take them.

Rude. Rude. RUDE. Don’t ever take them!!! If there was an option of giving out zero stars, this is what I would give them.
I reluctantly started using them when I moved into the neighborhood (I used to use a way more reliable one in my old neighborhood). Bunch of hit and misses. A lot of times, however, they would be late. At least live up to your name, «On Time!»
Dispatcher also gave me an attitude. Sadly, any other car services I tried calling, they wouldn’t pick up their phones…
It wasn’t until this winter that was the last straw. I had no choice but to take a car because it was a blizzard out there and I had to go to work regardless. I’ve taken them this entire winter sofar and not a huge problem each time I took them. I take them this time and when I get to my job, they tell me $ 25. Uhh. NOT what you told me on the phone. Their excuse: it’s bad weather, they risk their lives, twice the time, etc. I don’t care, it’s ILLEGAL. I fought with the driver AND the dispatcher (who was on the phone). After fighting, I reluctantly gave them the money. They told me to never call them again (were they serious? No idea. Still, though!)
Do you want a rude dispatcher, rude drivers (some were nice, won’t lie), and late arrivals? Take them. Do you want to be taken advantage of by being money gouged because of bad weather? Take them. As for me, I’m done with them.

Took this cab service two times and so far happy. I am taking one star off because the operator is little rude, however both drivers were very pleasant men.

Literally moved to the neighborhood last weekend. Needed a cab ASAP to get to work. Had no time to reach out to get a cab number. Number. Found this company on Unilocal.I REALLY liked that they took cards. The dispatcher as well as the driver were very courteous. The cab came in 15 min. Got to LIC in a breeze without being charged a ridiculous rate. Would definitely recommend.

They put out coupons, but then they won’t accept them. Phony, phony, phony. Next time I’m giving the coupon as the driver’s tip. Then they can do with it what they want.

I have used this cab service for a while with my family. Best rates around, really. Reliable and punctual. Know the roads pretty good.

Called early one morning for a ride to the airport. The driver showed up at the time I requested and took me to LGA with no problems. I like how he gave me a flat rate to the airport because I’m sure the traffic we ran into would have bumped up my tab otherwise.
Overall my driver was friendly and the cab was clean. I’ll probably try these guys again next time I’m headed to the airport.

Not only did I nearly miss my flight, my life was in danger.
I called for a cab to LGA day before. The cab shows up 15 minutes late. I get in and the driver doesn’t drive, but he’s fiddling with his russian GPS. I realize he doesn’t know how to get to Laguardia airport! After 5 minutes of trying to work the GPS and failing, I exclaim «please, just drive, I know how to get there. I’m going to miss my flight.» And he wouldn’t budge til he finally realized he couldnt work his GPS.
As we get to the BQE his phone rings, and he stops in the middle of the HIGHWAY to try to pick up his cellphone from his jacket pocket and causes, I kid you not, a car accident behind him, after a car slams on the brakes and bumps into us – barely demolishing his car. I shouted «what the hell are you doing:!!!» And he just ignores me and keeps driving, leaving the mess behind us.
At this point I’m fearing for my life, thankfully LGA was 5 min away, but when we get there he freaking missed my terminal, and doesnt have a receipt for me.
I’m reporting this company to the Better Business Bureu– if anyone else has had a similar experience please report or sue them.

i was skeptical about calling them but decided to try it because i live so close. i needed a car to jfk. they said they would be there in 5 min and they were. they were on time. the car is ok just that it smelled a little bit like cigarettes but it wasnt overwhelming. it cost me $ 25 to get to jfk from 11 229. overall, i was happy.

My family is finally fed up with On Time for good, especially my grandparents. And my grandparents are sweet people who don’t normally complain or get frustrated with the service industry, so for them to be this bothered after being loyal customers for so long, you know there’s something wrong.
What’s been wrong exactly? They have new incredibly rude dispatchers, more cigar/​cigarette-​smelling cars, and are just overall gritty and disrespectful to their clients. You’d think they’d make some kind of effort to accommodate the people keeping them in business, you know? It’s really gotten disgusting, and I’m in the process of trying to find a better service in the area to switch to.
As far as I understand from one of my friends who used to drive for them until recently, ever since the management changed hands the place has been going downhill. I’ll believe it.
I’m no longer calling these guys. Ever.
