Old Navy

An incredibly pathetic display of retail incompetence. This store looks like it was hit with a hurricane, completely destroyed, nothing is in the right place, clothes are strewn about like nobody is in charge. The employees are friendly but the lines are so long that you have a hard time smiling by the time you get to the cashier (think lines like the day before Xmas). An embarrassment to the company.

The five stars is for the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. The Visual Manager went out of her way to help me look for an item and the cashiers were equally gracious. I did not think the store looked messy, but then again I was there at 9:30 am. The dressing room was functional and clean. I communicated with five staff members for various reasons and they were all polite and helpful. For that reason, I would shop here again if in the neighborhood.

Pros — good deals, good price points, and typically there is a large selection of items so you should be able to find your size in the style you want.
Cons — messy dressing rooms, crowded and unorganized sale racks, long lines and cluttered counters/​registers. If it weren’t for the sales and the convenient location of this store, I would really shop at another Old Navy.

This place is always packed! Surprisingly, every time I’m here, the staff is always super friendly and helpful. They’re really on top of keeping the changing rooms clean and organized and the people at check out have always been nice no matter how long the line gets. And believe me, that line can get ridiculous.

Absolutely disgusting, messy, unorganized and hectic stores I have ever been to.
Clothes rack? What’s that? Have fun digging through literal piles of clothes to find something. There is no rhyme or reason to how items are «organized». You know you’ve come on a good day if you dont have to sort through a pile of jeans on the floor. Because of the mess, clothing is often dirty, stained, or ripped. Half of the items in the bins where the line is are broken or filthy, as well.
Dressing rooms are a disaster. Absolutely disgusting. Gum is stuck to the ground, as are candy wrappers and labels/​tags from clothing.
I use to love Old Navy, but this location is just so awful that its really turning me off to the brand (for the sake of this negative review, lets ignore the consistent decline in quality merchandise).

Worst Old Navy I’ve ever been to! The clothes ate thrown all over the place like a 14 year olds room! You can never find your size because there is no rhyme or reason to how they out them up. It’s nasty too. The staff ignore you when you’re checking out and have conversations like you’re not even there. Unbelievable.

One of the worst store I’ve ever been in NYC. The staffs pretended to not see, when I looked for their help as I was looking for my size. They just passed by and then… gathered and talked in a group. Are they serious?
When I bumped into a lady with a tag and was about to ask (I have just said, «excuse me»), she’s just shortly and loudly answered «I’M WAAAYYY OFF THE CLOCK!» while walking away.

I don’t know if it’s because I tend to shop closer to the holiday season, but I always find the Brooklyn Old Navy locations tend to be a mess. Items were everywhere and I just hate the feeling of clutter and sloppiness. I felt even the counters were disorganized and given the extended shopping hours, at least they would have all of the registers open. I hate waiting on line as I watch a cashier tend to items at his or her register. Your customers are your number one priority. Anything else should be done behind the scenes.

I give this old navy 4 stars because of the way things were handled on Black Friday. I came in at 11 in thanksgiving night and their was out the door. There was a woman outside with great energy keeping the line entertained. I actually left because I was too tired to wait.
I came back Friday around 1 pm. The store was chaotic, but the staff was in incredible spirits. They were all friendly, and helpful. There was a surprising amount of order in the store for it being Black Friday. Still tons to choose from, lots of piles were still folded. The dressing rooms were not chaotic.
The line was loooooong. Wrapped all the way around the store. Literally. I expected to wait 2+ hours. I was only inline for 1 hour. Great sale, great prices, friendly staff. I’ll be back!

This location is always totally picked over!!!

Old navy is a mess. Trying to find a tee-​shirt or something so simple is a waste of time. The lines are too long.

Messy! Messy! Messy! What’s the point of having so many clothes on sale (seriously low prices) if you have to dig through them and can’t find your size. This location needs big time improvement.

Friendly staff– they tried their best to keep the areas clean and organized despite the large flip flop crowd.

Why here? The coveted white t-​shirt. I tend to buy them throughout the spring and summer. I know that I have to deal with a crazy pile of other t-​shirts that look like they’ve never been folded to get to them, and then a super long line to buy them.
I subject myself to it b/​c it’s not far from mi casa and I can get a bunch for cheap and they wash pretty well.

This Old Navy is worse than the messiest Ross store. Don’t let the Unilocal photos fool you.
Be prepared when you walk in… it looks like Hurricane Sandy swept through.
The store is completely unorganized, clothes are everywhere, and don’t even get me started on how disgusting the aisles that sell useless items near the register are. It is so bad you can’t even tell there were once shiny new items sitting there. Items and boxes are opened, on the floor, played with, and all over the damn place.
Forget looking through the jewelry, it’s a disorganized mess, with missing earring pairs and necklaces all over the floor.
The only good thing about this place is that there tend to be smaller sizes left in the sales section. Other than that, it’s literally the worst Old Navy I’ve ever set foot in.
True story: the other day I walked in and there were a handful of kids playing kickball inside the store.

ATLANTIC AVE LOCATION Really Bad ! I worked at Old Navy on 18^st when I was a teenager and that location probably had twice the amount of traffick then the Brooklyn store, the lines were managed by adding cashiers by taking people from the floor to ring when it got busy.
Working in retail is really hard especially in a large store but whom ever is the regional director needs to get on this location in Brooklyn at the Atlantic center. There is no reason you have to wait at least 25 min on line average. I have gone there 3 times to exchange a pair of jeans and walked right out as soon as I saw the line.
I would shop there more often if they addressed the line issue! the mess in the store is a whole different story :(

It’s Old Navy. Some days you’re lucky and sometimes the line goes all through the store. This most recent visit had a friend and I looking for a scarf that we had seen on display and asking at least 4 workers, where it could be found. None of these employees were ale to provide an answer other than shuffling us to the next person.
Oh we’ll, this is the trade off for low prices I guess.

I know that complaining about the service at a big box chain store like Old Navy is sort of like complaining that water is too wet, but man, I really dislike this particular branch of Old Navy. The staff are surly and rude (I’ve actually seen a manager curse someone out for asking him politely to open another register when the line was 40+ customers long), the store is incredibly disorganized and messy, and their stocking ability is clearly non-​existent. Here’s a tip: if there are 40 pairs of size 0 pants, but nothing in size 8, 10 or 12, you’ve got to adjust your expectations and stock differently.
I also notice every time that I go that the «bargain racks» get larger and larger, but much of the stuff on them isn’t even on sale. I think the staff are just throwing it back in that area to avoid having to fold it! Overall, I’d say NEVER come here after 5 or on the weekends, unless you’ve got an hour to wait on line and longer to weed through the mess. If you can make it when they open, that may be your only chance at maintaining your sanity after an Old Navy visit.

Ridiculously long lines, disorganzed stock, cashiers are friendly but take forever. Men’s selection is very sparse but prices are good.

The scene at the Old Navy on Atlantic Avenue was the retail equivalent of Cormac McCarthy’s The Road-​there were ample cashiers to help the line of people but no employees that I witnessed on the floor. I basically walked through to assess that the scene was so dire I could not even possibly think of buying anything. Clothes were strewn everywhere-​now after Black Friday I suppose this is to be expected but it was INSANE. I am sure they will get it together but this kind of disorganization would not fly at the 34^th St or Soho location so off I go if I wish to purchase some (sing with me) old navy, old navy, old navy performance fleece.
