The service in this Precient is the best. Theirs always someone that gets your full attention with respect and resolve any matter they can for you. Much respect and it’s an honor to live in the neighborhood.

I’m sorry to see so many poor reviews. I’m fairly new to the neighborhood, but had an issue that resulted in my contacting the 76th Precinct. I spoke with the Community Affairs Officer, and couldn’t be more pleased with the way he addressed my concerns. If you ever need to discuss a non-​emergency issue with the police, I highly recommend contacting the Community Affairs Officer.

I have to agree that the woman who answers the phone at the precinct is totally rude and completely not qualified to speak to the general public on behalf of their «complaints» as it seems as though she does not understand the laws and the seriousness of certain incidents.
Today I felt harassed/​threatened by a man who I said nothing to when he began to yell and curse at me (a 50’s something man to a 20’s something girl) then followed me in his SUV and took a picture of me and sped off.
There is, of course, more to this story… but this is not okay. For the police to say, «There is nothing we can do about it»… well that just forces people to take things into their own hands. If they are not protecting me, then I will have to protect myself. And maybe by me saying that, something will happen.

Ha! A review for the good ol’ 76th. Yeah, these guys are junk. I realize that this is the easy precinct (minus the occasional flare up in Red Hook) but still, you «officers» could pretend that you actually get paid as a public servant to do a job that consists of more than getting free pizza at Nino’s and threatening to ticket sidewalk cafes unless they bring out free apps.
