NYC Laser Cut

My initial interactions with NYC Laser Cut was good. After calling, Austin was responsive to my subsequent emails for a small job creating acrylic templates out of PDF files. The quote was a little higher than expected but I needed the cuts done in 2 days so I didn’t mind. Needless to say, it was all downhill from there. After agreeing on the requirements and a pickup time and date in email, on the specified date, I arrived and Austin looked surprised to see me and proceeded to tell me that the cuts were not ready and told me that he «had meant to email me, but didn’t.» He then offered to do them immediately and I could return to pick them up. I told him that I expected them complete and was not able to return later but if he could drop them off, it would be preferred.
Later that afternoon, Austin’s intern dropped off the cuts. Not only were they just the bare minimum (I requested etching and labeling which were not done), one of them was incorrect. I called Austin immediately. No response. I emailed him and enclosed my original email with the job request. About 30 minutes later, he called me back. I was clearly frustrated. Instead of remedying the situation or taking responsibility and offering a solution, Austin asked me what I wanted. I said ultimately, I just wanted the final piece done correctly. He never apologized for inconveniencing me or for the sloppy job. He agreed to re-​cutting the piece for next day delivery. The piece arrived, but I did not get any kind of refund or an offer of a refund or an apology.
I would not recommend this business to anyone. Completely unprofessional and unapologetic for not delivering on their services.

I went out quoting for some last minute cutting I needed done, and NYC Laser Cut came back with the best quote, plus took care of everything like sourcing the plastics to make it easier for me. The cuts turned out great. I highly recommend them.
