Established in 2013.
New Leaf founder and director Nadia Wallace had lived in Brooklyn for more than a decade when the opportunity arose to open a neighborhood integrative fitness studio in a beautiful, light-filled space next to Prospect Park. Today, at New Leaf, she has gathered an extraordinary group of yoga and Pilates teachers, all highly trained, each uniquely talented. New Leaf is also a home for some great related services, including massage, breath work and Alexander Technique. Watch for fun special classes and workshops, and our much-loved Partners’ Yoga for Valentines Day and Love Your Low Back™ Workshop. At New Leaf, we know it is a privilege to help guide you in a joyful, healthy movement practice that is sustainable for you. Please join us by dropping in a small group yoga or Pilates class, or save a spot for you and a friend at newleafbody.com. Choose movement!
Meet the Business Owner
Nadia W.
Business Owner
A former college athlete, Nadia Wallace has practiced Pilates and yoga for over a decade and holds a 450-hour Pilates mat and apparatus teaching certificate from the Kane School of Core Integration. Nadia has advanced training in anatomy and kinesiology with Irene Dowd, Pilates for the cervical spine and neck with Kelly Kane, exercise for scoliosis with Kuan Hui Chew, and in myofascial tissue release. Nadia’s athletic career has included college field hockey, rugby, and downhill ski racing. An acute spine injury and surgery led her to discover Pilates, which became an important part of her rehabilitation and her return to a physical life.
Nadia feels honored to teach in collaboration with her clients, who include expectant and new moms, cross-training athletes, physical therapy graduates who want greater resilience in their whole bodies, clients with neuromotor and spine conditions, and regular folks seeking the joy and empowerment that comes from a strong core.
