History

Established in 2013.

Jewel C Hardy-​Powell started cooking at the early age of nine. She spent the majority of her childhood years in the kitchen with her grandmother. Following behind her grandmother and watching everything she did, Jewel knew she loved cooking and watching people enjoy the food she prepared for them. As she got older she choose to work in other fields outside of cooking for many years, but she never forgot her passion. Jewel finally got the opportunity to cater an event in July, 2013. Since then she’s catered for numerous events, such as well known churches, birthday parties, and New York city court systems. Mel & Libby’s catering service provides delicious food for comfort and great service.
