History

Established in 1978.

It all started in 1978 as a happy accident. Marc Tash had just moved into an apartment on the Lower East Side of Manhattan and was looking for furnishings to give his new home a genuine New York feel. So he started looking for a creative interior designer with an eye for detail to help him find window dressings and slipcovers.

After numerous appointments, Marc got increasingly frustrated as he found out that his options were quite limited. Then — like a true New Yorker — he decided to take manners into his own hands and Marc Tash Interiors was born. The goal of the company was to turn imagination into actualization by affording clients the choice of a great variety of fabrics and designs, and never letting them settle for less.

The company grew fast and four decades later Marc Tash Interiors has proudly helmed the design and redesign of thousands of homes. Despite this, the available selection of fabrics is still as great as it always has been, and accompanied by superior service.
