I saw a one-star review by a user named Josh P. and I wished to expand upon it. If you are familiar w/NYC at all, you know that people searching for a brunch place in Williamsburg/BK are not people who should then settle for a neighborhood diner. Even Josh knew when he came in that this was a ‘hood diner. Giving such a place one star for not being a hip brunch place that serves perfect(salmon substitute) *eggs Benedict* is the height of nerve. I actually jumped on Unilocal to locate the name of the former mgr. when I saw that ridiculous review and had to put in my two cents. This is a neighborhood place. A lot of regulars come in, along with random ppl looking for a good, quick, cheap meal in the most expensive city in the U.S. I love the staff here, too, low turnover and they make it their business to remember you. Finally, the prices are Midwest, in uptown Manhattan. If you live here or are visiting and are on a budget, this is a good mainstay in the UES. If you are looking for a good brunch/mimosa place, head south a couple of blocks on 2nd Ave and(I think) 89th to Café D’Alsace. White table cloths, stemmed glasses, not too snooty, perfect salmon eggs Benedict, an order magnitude higher on the price scale. Please don’t trash our last old neighborhood diner on Unilocal if you’re expecting Café D’Alsace. We’re losing too many neighborhood spots as it is.

My husband and I have been going for years. Great service and food. Yesterday we were shopping on Manhatten Avenue and stopped in for a enjoyable lunch…

If you’re looking for a diner breakfast where you can get a pile of delicious home fries instead of mixed greens kale Brooklyn crap, then this is the right place. Food is delicious, fast, and cheap and the service is great as well. They have great combo specials in the morning as well as for lunch and dinner. They serve beer and wine too, which adds to it that much more. Highly recommended.

Have been going here since I was a baby, it’s not changed at all. Classic diner and old greenpoint holdout. Waitresses are loud brooklyn working class, makes me feel at home coming here. Food is nonpretentious & generous sizes. This is real american cuisine, man.

We’ve been going to this diner for over 4 years and you can’t find a better bunch. In fact, we eat out 3 meals a day and this is our favorite place in Greenpoint. The staff are real, down to earth, and VERY caring about their customers and community. The owner and his daughter are the SWEETEST! Most of the servers are fast and on top of their game even though they are usually slammed. Food is quality, good selection, great prices. You can’t handle sarcasm? Why are you in a diner? Why are you in NYC? If you don’t like this place, you’re probably a shitty person and shouldn’t come back. There are PLENTY of people who will gladly take your booth.

Welcome to the Manhattan Triple Decker where a fiesta/Mexican omelette is eggs with a red liquid full of yes, peppers and onions, but also mushrooms? And celery? And carrots?- neon cheese optional. Also, they can make chocolate chip or blueberry pancakes in no time, because it just involves microwaving old pancakes with whatever topping. Be sure to take more than one mint when leaving to endure the full wrath of the lady at checkout. One star of my review is for the excellent people watching, and the other is because the cartoons painted on the windows are the highlight of my walks in the area.

I found this place to be a quiet option, good for those who prefer to just chill. It’s a diner without the grandeur of other diners. Just a basic spot good enough for most people’s needs. I had the Atlanta burger with mozzarella and grilled onions on rye bread. Very good. The service was attentive, so I have no complaints.

During a rainstorm I and my girlfriend dubiously wandered into The Triple Decker diner. We had a previous breakfast engagement of going elsewhere but because of the rain and wind; upon walking by I stopped and swiftly dragged my girlfriend into one of her worst breakfasts. Once we sat down we were quickly and overtly greeted by a sassy and comedic waitress. She gave us a telephone book of a menu and we ordered coffees and I an extra orange juice. She returned with the burnt aromas and powdered drink promptly and we ordered our main meal. For me a simple Omelet and hash-browns — For her some eggs over easy, hash-browns and toast. As we discussed that: «This clearly was a bad and terrible decision,» our food arrived. My omelet was made with at least 6 eggs and had at least a quarter pound of mixed cheese and bacon inside it. It was staring at me on the plate and made me feel uncomfortable. Aside were the undercooked hash-browns with mystery red powder on it. I felt a bit guilty not only when I did not finish more than three bites of the meal but when out of spite my girlfriend tried to finish hers. I watched her, asking her not to eat more with my eyes — but this was her payback to me for my unsavory last minute choice. Lastly I without guilt paid for the whole meal with forgiveness of better choices in the future. I give the Triple Decker Diner 1 star because it won’t let me give it zero star rating. I for see a dark future once the older Polish population of Greenpoint stops returning to its doorstep. It can be used best as a revenge gift card for a funny present. Please tread lightly and inebriated if you are to enter it doors.

Avoid this place — the only thing going for it is the kitsch factor. Low quality food, and terrible customer service. Not a good breakfast… We landed at the Manhattan 3 Decker after searching for a brunch spot in Williamsburg — to which a friend’s roommate suggested we try a place called Peter Pan. Unable to locate the illusive lost boy, we settled for this place given its proximity and host’s lack of desire to continue walking up Manhattan Ave. Once we walked in I knew we were going to have a «baaaad time». It reminded me of home(South Florida), but not in a good sense. If you’ve ever had the opportunity to visit SoFla’s Greek and Polish influenced diners, you’ll instantly know exactly what I mean. The décor is dated, and their ceiling desperately in need of a proper dusting. Despite this, the restaurant has been there since 1945 — so their food would probably be pretty good… right? Nope. I ordered Eggs Benedict and requested salmon instead of Canadian Bacon. The server made a point to reiterate(much to my annoyance) several times that the Eggs Benedict comes with CA. Bacon, and they would charge me extra for Salmon. I literally had to tell her«That’s fine» three times before it sank in. Fast forward to food arrival — the salmon was decent enough(but not of overwhelming high-quality ala Nova Scotia or Scotland), but the English muffin was topped with mayonnaise. Gross, right? Also, the hollandaise sauce had more of a gelatin«quick mix» quality. The home fries were probably the highlight of the dish, but it was definitely an overwhelming portion of food. To make things worse… My brother, in anticipation of a low quality meal, simply ordered Mozzarella sticks and somehow the server managed to drop a container of mayo on him. With scarcely an apology, she then proffered a «dry»(e.g. used to clean up food) rag for him to wipe the mayo off his jeans. Manhattan 3 Decker, neither I nor my friends shall return hence. You have most dutifully earned this 1 star rating.

This is a diner. Saying that, one does not enter with expectations(maybe just that there is no extra protein in your food or crawling around it). What I do expect is not to pay $ 17(tip not included) for an omelette, side of bacon and a coffee. Are you guys kidding me?! Egg in Williamsburg has more affordable prices and not to mention quality! Otherwise its a typical diner. Not worth it for the price.

Manhattan 3 Decker, one of the last remaining old school diners in the neighborhood, is my go-to diner. The staff is always friendly and the food(with generous portions) is reasonably priced and consistent. My fiancé and I usually split a veggie omelette(they have every combination you could ask for), and some sort of carb dish whether it’s french toast, pancakes or a bagel. Recommended for those who want a casual, inexpensive meal that’s also tasty!

I had to give this place five stars for multiple reasons. If you are looking for ambiance, you will not get it here. However, if you are looking for a neighborhood diner with traditional diner fare priced to please, then this place is for you. The quality of the food is what you would expect at a diner, but the portions are large. Plus, I find the service to be exceptional, and the staff knows its customers well. Every time I come here, I have the soups, which are probably the best I have ever had.

Made the mistake of ordering through and of course forgot to Unilocal the place first. Was won over by the $ 5 min and fact that soup or salad came with the meal. Ordered philly cheese w fries and soup. They send everything you need to eat but the food was not great. Won’t do again.

Very old school diner with many regulars. I went in here for breakfast. They had your basic items but limited and nothing exciting. I had the combo with eggs, sausage, breakfast potatoes, and toast, along with some coffee. The food was very average and the potatoes were not good. The customer service was meh. They have several soups of the day, pies, and cakes. They do lunch and dinner but don’t think I will be back.

This diner has fresh food and quick service. It’s a little on the Small side but as long as you don’t go during prime time, you’re fine. The waitress we had was a little too sarcastic and abrasive to my friends liking… But I found her very humorous. Not bad if you’re looking for a quick reasonably priced meal.

I’ve been going to Three Decker forever. Unfortunately, I will not be going back. We waited almost 20 minutes for a waitress to even come to our table to take our DRINK orders. Once we got our drinks we already knew what we wanted to eat. We placed our food orders and waited 45 minutes for our food to come. And the food was HORRIBLE! They didn’t have rice which my husband wanted, the fried chicken basket was actually 4 pieces if burnt chicken skin that looked like chicken nuggets minus the chicken. My pizza burger was flavorless and undercooked. My daughter’s cheeseburger was overcooked and her fries were burnt. On top of all that, our waitress was obnoxious and appeared bothered when I asked for a covered cup for my two year old! Apparently we weren’t the only ones treated this was as the party of 8 behind us had half of their meal comped due to errors in their meals and having to wait such a long time! Needless to say, I will not be returning. I’ll take my money across the street to Lite Bites!

Service n food is great here. Chicken parmigiana is one of my favorite meals, they have wraps and a very good chocolate milk shake. I like their big table in the back, it is comfy and it seats lots of people. The waitresses here are really nice. There are some Greek meals on the menu. Their Lentil soup it is the best in Brooklyn, they have it every other week.
