Main Man Water Works & Sewer Service

I had a water main break and need it fixed ASAP. I reached out to Scott of Main Man Plumbing and it was the best decision. Out of the other plumbers I called he was in my opinion the most responsive and customer service oriented. He answered any concerns and had no hidden costs and did the job at a reasonable fee. Furthermore, he wanted to make sure the job was done right. Overall he and his team did a great job and took care of everything in one day whereas other plumbers said it would take 2. I’d totally call Main man agian if I ever run into any plumbing issues in the future

I received a lower estimate from another company. After consultation, Scott’s recommendation was correct. I had a new water main and water meter installed. I am very pleased!

We had a water main break at our coop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The situation was dire and required prompt attention. If we were to wait long the pipe would burst and we would have a disaster on our hands. Several plumbing contractors gave us their estimates. Scott from Main Man gave us a competitive price AND promised to do the job on Sunday, earlier than the other contractors. Since time was of the essence we gave the job to MAIN MAN. They arrived that Sunday on time, did a great job, and finished ahead of schedule. I was impressed by the crew’s professionalism and good manners. They left the place cleaner than they found it. Highly recommended.

We had a water main leak and the DEP gave me a notice to have it fixed in three days. I kind of freaked out and started calling a bunch of companies but only got «somebody will get back to you ASAP» or the guys who did show up made me feel like they were trying to get one over on me. When I called Main Man Scott picked up right away and was able to give me a lot of information over the phone. I was impressed with how knowledgeable and on top of things he was especially compared to the others. The pricing wasn’t that far off from what some of the others were quoting but after coming to give the estimate he made me feel comfortable that everything would be taken care of properly. They showed up first thing the next morning and everything was finished by the time I got back from work. They also seemed to make the extra effort to clean up afterwards. Hopefully this problem doesn’t come up again but if it does I know who the first person I will call will be. Thanks, Main Man!

Great company. Honest, knowledgeable, fair.

I hired Main Man to do a broken sewer line. They gave me a reasonable price $ 12,000 total. They charged me a deposit of 50% of the cost which is about $ 6,000. When they attempted to do the work. They came without any permits. They got kicked off from the work by the Dept of Building and Dept of Transportation. Main Man said that they don’t wanted to do the job anymore. They cashed my deposit into their account and they refused to give me back my deposit of $ 6,000. I will have to go hire a lawyer to sue them. I advice you to stay away from Main Man. They are scam. Do not trust them.

Main Man should be your first choice if faced with a large water main /​sewer job.
We had the unfortunate pleasure of having a pipe break in the street, and as the home owner, we were on the hook to repair.
After calling 4 contractors, we were quoted some outrageously high prices. 2 contractors flat out lied to me about the types of pipe I had in my home, trying to scare me into replacing pipes that were fine, but would pad the job .
Irwin from Main Man showed up and straight away debunked what the last contractor told me (I already knew I was lied to, but was impressed Irwin didn’t perpetuate the lie — (he could have to score himself a larger job)
He quoted me a price that was $ 2500. LOWER than the last guy, and was going to do it in ½ the time. I was skeptical, because his price was so reasonable, I was just waiting for the other shoe to drop.
But I was pleasantly surprised.
Irwin sat with me, and walked me through the contract, and really just made me feel at ease, in a time when I was besides myself because of the situation.
The next day Main Main’s workers showed up, on time and in good spirits — They got to work promptly, and worked cleanly. In under 3 hours the job was done, and the workers assured me the final steps would be completed in a weeks time. 4 days later the final concrete was laid and I couldn’t be happier.
