Lin Li Yan-Rosenberg Pysician Pc

There are two doctors here, I used to see the other one (not Yan) on a routine basis and Yan once in a while. (This was for the majority of 2011÷12−2013 i believe.) They were recommended to me by my other physician.
Wait time is minimal compared to a lot of other clinics, and appointments are usually on time. At first my experience was pleasant, just check ups and some of my shots.
When I became a little more of my matured age, things started to get a little fishy. Such things included getting a pap smear done within 3 months of each other. I wanted to get tested for diseases at the time, and some how a pap smear was routine. Both doctors do not explain fully what procedures are. And this may because their first language is Chinese and their English (medically speaking, not intellectually speaking) may not be as on par.
Things went more downhill when they disclosed my information to my parents after the end of an examination. I never signed a waive and I was not under 18 at the time.
The last straw was when my period was extremely late and I was wondering what my options were. I saw dr. yan at the time, and she told me about provera to help start it. She did NOT explain to me what it did chemically (I had to research it myself) and she DID NOT explain to me what the side effects were. All she told me is that it may help me have my period.
I suffered the worst side effects upon taking the lowest dose of that pill and that point I was done with this clinic. I called to get some advice on the pill, and it was the girl at the desk who helped me, not the doctors.
Unless you are a pregnant or only want routine blood/​urine tests, I suggest you find a better OB/​GYN.

Dr. Yan was my OBGYN when I was pregnant from ¹⁄₂₀₁₁ — ⁹⁄₂₀₁₁. She was caring, considerate, I didn’t have long wait times, and while the waiting area used to be kinda boring, that’s just me nitpicking.
When I did go into labor (needed an emergency C-​Section), the surgeon on call said, «I’m giving Yan 10 minutes to get here or I’m taking her in myself. Prep the OR.» Man, I was terrified! As they were strapping me to the bed my heart swelled to see Dr. Yan’s face over me and I knew everything was going to be OK; and it was!

She also has an office off of 8^th ave. This «doctor» performed an unnecessary, two second echography on my wife when my wife told her there was no need to. My wife was on her monthly cycle and the doctor did a quick wave with probe just to bilk the insurance company. Any doctor that pulls these stunts is just another money grubber. Zero stars if possible.

Dr. Yan is the best! She is patient, friendly, gentle, caring, and very competent. She even takes the time to phone in prescriptions for you!
