Lauren was wonderful! Almost as wonderful as OddFellows ice cream parlor! The food was delightful and varied, and the pace was just right. Something for all the dietarily-​restricted eaters in the group, and some nice pop-​culture/​history factoids along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed our day!

The Flatiron tour with Ben was very informative, and it was nice to get a tour of the bread factory (with an incredible top rated dessert included), as well as a tour of Beecher’s Cheese. Would recommend the tour, there was some nice history included of the area, the buildings and Madison Park, as well as a very good amount of food.

We had a great time on our tour with Lauren today!!! Learned a lot about the neighborhood, had some great pizza, korean, croissant bagels, and several yummy sweets. Would definitely recommend and looking forward to checking out her flatiron tour next time we have visitors in town!!!

This was an AWESOME Walking Food Tour through Williamsburg. Our guide, Lauren, definitely loves the neighborhood, and the small business owners love her back. Everyone was very nice, and very willing to talk about their business and give us samples. We stopped at 7 places, and after the first two spots (Crif Dogs and Best Pizza), we were already full. But the yums just kept coming. My favorite part of the tour was the fact that even though I live only a few miles away, I got to see a part of Brooklyn I didn’t even know existed– it felt like a vacation in an exotic city.
I highly recommend this tour, everything about it added up to a great afternoon out in Brooklyn.

We went to the Brooklyn tour.
The restaurants picked were mediocre at best. There was nothing to talk about during the tour regarding history of the local area with the tour guide, and none of the food places were satisfying.
You are better off Unilocaling a restaurant in the area than paying for this tour.

On my trip to the Big Apple this was honestly my favorite part of the trip. Lauren our guide was AMAZING! She gave us a tour of Brooklyn specifically Williamsburg where we visited many places and got to try the beer at the brewery, wine at the winery, ice cream at a local ice cream shop, BBQ and chocolate to name a few of the things we did. If visiting I definitely recommend taking the tour.

Took a tour with Like A Local and loved it! I actually live in NYC but don’t travel to Brooklyn enough. Our guide introduced us to lots of great restaurants I will definitely be going back to try. Showed us lots of fun street art and overall was full of useful information and super upbeat. Would love to do again with a big group of friends. Perfect Saturday afternoon outing!

Williamsburg Food Walking Tour was not what I expected. I wanted to try real restaurant food since that neighborhood has some very unique places to eat. Instead I got a hot dog, pizza, dumpling and a cookie. The Bagel Store was the highlight of the tour since that was a totally new experience of creative, harmonious flavors packed inside a bagel and cool spreads to go with it. Can you say Rainbow Bagel with a schmear of cake icing? Nice. But I wish there was a little more background information about the places we ate at and what makes them so special but then again, what can you say about a dumpling except that it is inexpensive? The last stop was a chocolate place which was anti-​climatic b/​c I am a chocolate lover so sorry — was not impressed by the whole lot of it. This tour offered nothing that I couldn’t do myself, I expected to go to restaurants to taste food not fast food. Was not worth the money.

Lauren was our tour guide and she did a great job at bringing us to the coolest places and describing them to the best that she knew then also had the owners come out and share the rest of the info with us it truly was a great time and a great experience were doing it again soon do it with a group of friends or just you and your partner but either way you bound to have a blast

Went on a pub crawling tour of Like a Local last weekend. We are so glad that we didn’t cancel due to the heavy snow, I think it made it even more fun! We were a total of 8 as a result of snow cancellations, so our group was even cozier. Lauren greeted us at Whiskey Brooklyn, introduced us to table shuffleboard, got the beer going, and when we had enough fun, she whisked us to another great local spot where we proceeded to playing two rounds of celebrity. It was fun fun funnn :) At our third and last stop, we played Jenga, but by then we had enough beer that writing funny stuff on the jenga blocks was more interesting than the game itself.
After the tour was over and we said our goodbyes to Lauren, as the full group, we actually headed back to our first tour stop, Whiskey Brooklyn, to bring the day to a full circle and try our chances at that sneaky table shuffleboard again (and yes! I scored much better this time, with all the beer-​induced confidence in me :)

Like a Local is fantastic. I’m a new local, but as someone always running from place to place, this seemed like the perfect chance to slow down and actually look around, and I was right. The tour was intimate and loads of fun. I left with a belly full of good food, and drink, a sense of the town, and a little bit of local history thrown in. A fantastic way to spend an evening. I’ll be recommending it to friends who come to visit.

Took this tour on Saturday. It was super fun! Not your average tour. We hit some great «local» spots and there were a few alcoholic beverages involved — never something I can resist:) Highly recommended!
