The new space is nicer, but still extremely cramped. It’s impossible to navigate with a cart. I also had bad interactions with a male staff member that left a bad taste in my mouth. Don’t yell at me in spanish, I can’t understand you!

Huge(!!) improvement since they moved from the other side of Kings Highway. It’s much cleaner overall, and now now the meat, which frankly used to be unspeakably disgusting, is totally acceptable.(The beef still isn’t the greatest, but the pork and poultry are fine.) And it’s still the only place in the neighborhood that has a reasonable selection of meat on a regular basis. If you want to buy enough meat for a week, pay the bus fare and go to Key Food on Kings Hwy & W. 5th St, but if you just need to grab something on your way home, this place will do. They also have a decent selection of dairy, good selection of freshly sliced cold cuts, and plenty of frozen vegs, but everything else is limited. A plus is their fair selection of dried chiles and Mexican herbs & spices, as well as packaged tortillas, Mexican cheeses and a limited selection of Goya products. The produce is variable, but do they often have fresh epazote, which isn’t available anywhere else in the immediate area.

They moved 1 block south due to old location being torn down. Still on E 16 St, between Kings Highway and Quentin Rd, across from the B100 bus stop.

this is the only fresh meat store in the neighborhood like the other review says. i come here because prices are very reasonable. i usually buy some chicken or red meat(about $ 3!) and it serves one person well. other prices are generic and sometimes orange juice or milk is on sale for around $ 3 per 59 ounces(OJ) or half gallon(milk). there is a large shelf for little debbie snack cakes as well as condiments.

The only supermarket in the area that has fresh meat produce so I come here. Also, the pickle section are a huge hit because people are always lining up for it! One time I thought I’d give it a try to check it out to see what’s the BIGDEAL, I waited a while too. It was ok, the dill pickles were good and the prices reasonable. I think it beats a few other places where they sell pickles. The market is small but is really enough to suit your needs if you are picking up groceries. Good pricing too.
