I am writing this review to dispel any sense of accomplishment that you had found an optics shop which sells the latest/​greatest glasses made today… for a decent price or bargain for that matter. Their frames are outdated, they blatantly lie to you about the pricing because when you ask them how can i get 3 pairs of glasses for 99 dollars the «sales person» has no idea what you are talking about… furthermore i have never met any one so rude of an individual who works at a shop ever! They look at you as though you are a criminal who came to strip them of their merchandise. Customer service is non existent. Oh and one more thing they need to learn some English and quickly! Spare your selves the misery of never visiting this mental asylum

I came in here as a walk-​in so I understand a wait is inevitable. I was told there was only one person ahead of me who was currently seeing the optometrist and the wait would be 15 minutes. Waited 40 minutes only to have another person come in and be served before me. I was only attended to after I expressed my frustration at their service. From there they proceeded to charge me for my visit before I had even seen the optometrist. I was finally directed in to have an eye pressure test, and of course after that, I had to wait another 20 minutes before seeing the optometrist. During the appointment, the optometrist left for 10 minutes for no reason, and within another few minutes of her return, was interrupted by another person. After this interruption, she proceeded to hurriedly finish my appointment in about two minutes. Never have I experienced such inadequacy at an optometrist and lack of professionalism and customer service.

Yesterday I bought two pairs of glasses with my daughter. Lana keyser helped us. She’s not just a sales person– she gave us exactly what fit us and didn’t try to push us to buy unless we were 100% with our decision. She’s not a pusher like many sales people, she was a helper. Next time I need glasses that’s the only place I’ll go.

Me and my mom just purchased two pairs of sunglasses, one prescription, and although we spent a good three hours there, we received the best service. Lana was super helpful and facilitated our decision making process all the way through. I’m super happy with my new D&G sunnies and my mom loves her Roberto cavallis. Thank you Lana!

The doctor and the girl who works at the front (Yana I believe her name is) are very nice. However, the guy who did my air pressure test (I don’t know the know, it’s the one where you place your chin in this weird holding thing and they shoot air at your eye which is supposed to measure your eye bounciness or whatever). The guy who did my test was so rude, it was unbelievable. I hate doing that stupid test because of the sound it makes and your body’s natural response is to close the eye to protect it, duh. Instead of trying to calm me down and try to relax me. He instead was yelling at me to stop wasting my time and how I was making his job more difficult and to just sit still and to stop being a child. I realize that it can be frustrating to give someone this test who flinches at it but that is not the way to get someone who is clearly afraid to sit still for your exam!

They didn’t take my company’s Vision Plan although it said they were a participating business and they tried to sell me a full year’s worth of contact lens when all I wanted was for 3 months. They also try to force you to buy their stuff. They do not provide you with your prescriptions and you have to ask for it specifically. Very pushy sales people. The wait was ridiculous. I give two stars only because the eye doctor was reliable and seemed to know her business.

No idea what these reviews are going on about. The staff is very friendly and helpful, unlike many other Brooklyn vision centers. But above all, the selection here is simply massive. They have everything you could want, for every price range. Yes, they have new designer frames and yes, they are expensive. Just as they would be in the city or anywhere else. Prescription prices are great as well. I wouldn’t trust my eyes to any other Brooklyn establishment.

I am a new customer at Kingshighway Vision. I was treated wonderfully by professional people. Juliet the
Manager was a pleasure to deal with and the lovely young lady who helped me select my frames.
In total I got 3 pairs of glasses that were fitted and adjusted by their lens guys on the lower level of the store. They also were above and beyond professional and accommodating. I recommend this place highly. My glasses are great. Their selection is wonderful and they work with your budget.

The lady who helped us was nice, but everything after that wasn’t too great. I had 2 frames. When I went to pick up my first pair, she then informs me that her calculations were wrong and I had to pay extra $$. Okay, whatever. I mean she did originally hook it up with one of the frames. Umm, well I least I think she did. She told me she did ($ 200 for no brand frames? I don’t know now…)
The guy downstairs was no help either. For both frames, he went to the back into a diferent room and probably fixed them about 3−4x max. Each time they felt no different, so I decided I would just go to a random place to get them fixed. It felt like he didn’t give a crap, so I didn’t bother wasting my (or his precious) time. Especially when the guys attention was on a average looking fully made up girl that was standing in the corner. Anyway, after looking at the frames closely when I got home, the glasses were crooked. They were noticeably higher on one side of the face and when placed on the table, you can tell only one side was adjusted. Definitely should have stuck to my old optical store. I only gave this place a chance because a friend who had came here since he was a kid swore by them. Yea… no thanks.

awful place they have no dignity, no respect, no reliability. I asked to make me prescription glasses with light weight lenses and frame and they confirmed they can do. took my deposit $ 250.00 and when my order was done, glasses were very heavy. they advised to me that they cant use light weight lenses. but why they didn’t tell me that in advance? they refuse to return my deposit, refuse to give me just frame so I can get lenses done somewhere else. very rude! they told me that they don’t care if I complain. Mind you they even took my Medicaid/​Medicare information and then told me that I have to pay full $ 500.00 so I will not be surprised that they are playing with insurances. oh well, sooner or later they will get caught; hope somebody will discover this and ill call insurance company

I called, they said they take walk ins. So I walk in with my eight year old. We waited for half an hour and no one could tell us how much longer it would be. The receptionist said I should make an appointment, so I made an appointment for the following week and when I came back for the appointment, we waited for two hours to be seen. After an hour and a half the child needed to pee, so we spent maybe five minutes in the bathroom. Came out and asked they said «oh, the doctor called you and you weren’t here.» So we had to wait another hour. And then after the exam they decided they needed to dilate her eyes. So we had to go wander around for half an hour until the drops kicked in and then come back for another exam.
When we finally had the prescription there was no one to help us and we finally just left. Never again.

i went in thinking they may not be ok because of the reviews here. My experience was awesome. i am in a power chair and use oxygen 24 – 7. the staff here made me comfortable. i was given a very through eye exams. my glasses were ordered, no pressure to buy what i could not afford. my glasses were ready in one day., how awesome is that.

Im a little confused about all these other reviews. Maybe it has to do with the business practices that almost all of them employ. They are there to make money after all. I went in there and purchased 2 pairs of sunglasses that I love. The lady in their let me look through multiple makers catalogs for the exact pairs I wanted. One thing they did was try to sell me what they already had in the store but I know what I want and they were more than happy to order what I wanted. I wound up getting 1 custom pair and 1Maui Jim Freight Trains. They gave me a great deal, maybe because I paid cash. But they also gave me something to hand into my vision insurance to credit me for the pairs. Not many people do that. I guess you just have to be very shrewd and knowledgeable about what your looking for because over the years I have found that you can usually discount the price by 20 to 30% if you haggle with them. For instance, online my freight trains are 329. With them I got them for 235, no tax. I would go back to them especially knowing that they are willing to lower the prices. I also have 1 pair of nighttime prescription glasses made by Gucci from them and they did not charge me extra for the Crizal lenses.(hope that’s the spelling) Now again, I don’t know if this is because I did my research and also paid cash but I got a great deal. I would say $ 400 is more than fair for the pair I purchased. And no tax! Plus my insurance refunded me some of the cost. Im sorry all these people had such a bad experience with this place. They CAN be pretty nasty sometimes. I found that if you put them in their place right away and educate yourself about what you want, then you will have an easier time getting your way in this place. All businesses are in place to make the most money they can off of you. It’s our job as the consumer to stand up for ourselves and get what we want. Also if you don’t find this place pleasant, walk 3 stores down to the next vision center and check them out!

Very Disappointing ! I ordered glasses for my daughter. When i picked them up, i opened the case and the glasses were DUSTY/​DIRTY. I simply asked for a cloth which was not in the case. The lady rudely responded, «YOUR INSURANCE DOES NOT COVER CLOTH». I was shocked. I told her that i will pay for the cloth. She completely ignored me and i left. Will never come back to this place.

Stay away!!! This is NOT an honest place to deal with. I have gone to them several times over the past 10 years, mostly because of location/​convenience. The most recent experience was by far the worst. My daughter went for an eye exam, with the vision plan I have (EyeMed). They are well known for charging more when you use insurance and making you pay the difference.
However, this time, they did something even more outrageous. My daughter called me from the office to say that they wanted to charge my medical plan instead of the vision insurance plan. They submitted a VERY LARGE claim to my medical insurance, even though they only did a standard eye exam to get a contact lens prescription.
They billed my insurance a total of $ 1,175, and received several hundred dollars reimbursement from them. For an EYE EXAM! They then sent me a bill for the balance, with a line saying that «we would like to settle this matter for $ 100». I am considering reporting them for fraudulent insurance billing.

I would give zero stars if there was such an option.
Business practices they use are questionable, to say the least. Not only they sell overpriced frames, but also the sales staff will try to extract as much money from you as they can, selling you types of lenses and coating and other add-​ons you don’t need. Especially if you aren’t an expert in the latest developments in the world of lenses, or if you simply don’t know what you want/​need.
Glasses I got from them were 3 times more expensive than the ones I saw shortly after at their competitor. Sadly, they wouldn’t take them back.
As for the medical part of this sham, an optometrist would probably try to find a condition you don’t have, so you’d spend more on lenses for your frames. Their RX was completely revised and changed after I went to my ophthalmologist to get her opinion.
Beware and stay away. If you do buy from them, use a card so you can challenge a transaction later if it becomes necessary.

Just left kings hwy vision. Don’t be fooled by the negative reviews. I just got two pairs and the lady that took care of me was really nice. I got really nice frames and am really happy with the service. Will be coming back here for my next pair!!!

I went there yesterday. The staff was very polite and professional .The doctor who examined me gave me very thorough examination. I was very pleased with the selection of glasses that they had to choose from and I was extremely happy with the over all service. Btw they didn’t even charged me a copayment.

Whatever it says on the window, just don’t believe it.
There is no 1 hour service. There are no contacts and lenses in there that cost 99 $.
They are not nice people.
You are going to be in there for 3 hours atleast, and are going to spend atleast 200 $.
You are also going to deal with a bunch of rude employees, wondering why they haven’t been fired yet.
I got my glasses fixed there and they never called me to tell me that they were done. I finally came in after a month asking whats taking them so long and they said they called me once three weeks ago. They didn’t. Liars.

Absolutely terrible. If you feel like wasting your entire day off at thus place go for it. I made an appointment in advance just to sit here for two a half hours. They can’t even tell you how long do you have to wait. Every time you ask them you will get the same answer no matter what. 45 min. Seriously this place is horrific.
The only good thing about this place is that the doctor is amazing. She is attentive, polite, knowledgeable, and does everything to patients’ best interest.
