Absolutely love this place! The receptionists down to all of the hygienists are so pleasant. I can’t remember the last time I went to the dentist and didn’t watch the clock. Dr. Hansen is very nice and isn’t one of those dentists that try to convince you to get a large operation for a small problem (hate that).
My hygienist was so nice and gentle. I told her where my tender spots were in my mouth and she made sure to take it easy when operating on that side. When I came out, my teeth were sparkly and clean! No pain! JUST THE WAY I LIKE IT
The office is very cozy and the rooms have high ceilings so it’s very aesthetically pleasing. You forget that sharp things have to go in your mouth in a couple seconds… at least I did.
If you’re looking for a new dentist, definitely try here. If you’re driving, come early because the office is right near Prospect Park and you may need to park a little farther down but at least afterward you can take a stroll on the park! To end this, I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. I will be coming here as long as they are open… in my Squince from the «The Sandlot» voice… FOR-​EV-​ER! Lol

I started seeing Dr. Hansen sometime back in 2002 and have had nothing but positive experiences with each visit. Every time I step into the office, it feels like I am with family and there is no better feeling when one is at the dentist! In July of 2014 I started Invisalign and then in September of 2014, I got a job offer that required me to move from NY to DC. I did move, but I did not change dentists! I will drive 230 miles to see my dentist. The office staff; receptionists, hygienist, and dental assistants are all awesome! I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Hansen to anyone looking for a dentist.

I had been putting off getting some dental procedures done that I knew I needed after having been to a couple of different dentists for consultations but left feeling uneasy. I had a friend who highly recommended Dr. Hansen and I couldn’t be happier that I made the trip from Long Island into Brooklyn to meet with him. From the time I walked in the office the wonderful ladies at the front desk were very welcoming and were patient enough to walk through my Insurance coverage with me to My initial consultation and cleaning with the hygienist to the procedures and follow up appointments I had with Dr Hansen — I couldn’t have had a more positive experience. I no longer dread the dentist and would highly recommend Dr. Hansen to all family and friends.

I started seeing Dr. Kevin Hansen in 2005. I could not imagine seeing another dentist. The staff is warm and friendly, especially Alice at the front desk. The office is extremely clean and conveniently located near the Subway. As important, they are very accommodating when it comes to making the next appointment.
Dr. Kevin Hansen’s services are one of the few services that I recommend to all friends and family, without hesitation.

As I’m not a fan of visiting the dentist, I felt compelled to review this one. On my second visit to the dentist the desk staff already had my name memorized. I felt warmly welcomed and at ease. Dr. Hansen is helpful and cares! With it being years since I’ve visited any dentist, all my fears were put to rest with coaching from Dr. Hansen and his crew. He stopped when I was nervous and was wonderfully patient with my childish fears haha. All in all I am happy with my services and hope to refer many of my friends!

I have been going to Dr. Hansen since he started his Park Slope practice and have always been so impressed with his professionalism, quality of care and his office and staff. I’m writing this review, however, to say that he is amazing working with kids. My 8 year old daughter had to have a cavity filled and Dr. Hansen took the time to explain the exact process of what he would be doing. He showed her the tools, the sounds, the numbing gel and even had her hold the filling so she could understand what a filling actually was. His assistant was wonderful with my daughter as well. In addition, his hygienist, Theresa, is fabulous (with adults and kids). My daughter loves the dental goodie bag that she receives!

I moved to Park Slope a month ago and also had new dental insurance, so I needed to find a dentist close to my new home. After doing a lot of research on Unilocal,I called Dr. Hansen’s office to make an appointment and asked for details of my insurance coverage. The woman who answered the phone went above and beyond: not only did she take down all of my insurance information, she then told me she would call my provider, get my coverage details regarding costs (since they were out of network for me) and call me back. And she did. The next morning. When she said she would. Everyone there was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The hygienist and Dr. Hansen were gentle and thorough. I had a great experience and found my new dentist!

I’m moving out of NYC next week, and I’m real bummed I have to find a new dentist. As someone with «bad teeth,» going to the dentist an be can emotionally difficult and often expensive experience.
I absolutely dreaded going to the dentist until I started going to Dr. Hansen. His practice has made a world of difference just by being nice and finding me the best, most affordable options for taking care of my teeth. Awesome staff, no unnecessary procedures, best dentist ever.

This is by far the best dentist I have ever been to! I have been going here for years and have never had anything less than an amazing experience. Dr. Hansen is so nice & friendly and Theresa & the other hygienists are all so sweet and do an awesome job! I always leave feeling squeaky clean :) Alice and Christina at the desk are both so nice and super helpful as well! They all really treat you like family and totally take the «ugh» out of going to the dentist. If your looking for a new dentist, you have found it! I have referred so many people here and they have all had great experiences as well!

Great staff, very professional and accommodating. Reasonable pricing and really make you feel like you’re family. I have been going here for 2 years now and have had some very intricate work done and I’m never disappointed!

Kevin took over my former dentist’s practice a few years ago. I have to admit, I was worried at first, because of my loyalty to my former dentist but Kevin is a really a terrific dentist. He’s caring, a perfectionist, a hard worker, and as gentle as they come. He’s a very sweet guy and I find that endearing in a dentist. He also has a great office staff from Alice, his receptionist, to Teresa, his hygenist, to Bernadette, his dental assistant.
Also, for those who insist on gas (and I do), Kevin uses gas, thank goodness. And he plays nice music.

I went to Kevin for my invisalign and for my regular dentist work. He and his staff were extremely nice and professional. It was a great experience overall and I will continue going to him for my regular checkups. I went to four dentists before I finally settled on Kevin because he was the first dentist who seemed professional and honest. Highly recommended!

Dr. Hansen and his talented team take care of my whole family (2 adults, 2 kids) with tremendous attention and kindness. They are great with the reluctant dental patients in our family, and (unlike most dentists I have visited) don’t try to shame those who are, ahem, less than diligent about flossing. The absence of any upsell for tooth whitening services is also a joy. (Were my prior dentists trying to tell me something about the unattractiveness of my mouth, or did they just want the commission?)
They are great communicators (phone calls are answered promptly, phone and email messages are responded to within a few hours, it seems).
Really, I could not recommend them more highly. They set the bar high for all medical professionals, if not anyone involved in customer service.

Dr. Kevin Hansen and his staff, the super welcoming and friendly Alice and Christina and the hygienist Teresa, offer excellent all-​around dental care and make going to the dentist a surprisingly pleasant experience. My mouth was a mess of cavities when I started coming here about eight years ago. Kevin and Teresa fixed me up well and got me on the road to healthy oral hygiene. The other hygienists and assistants are also highly skilled and have great ‘dentist chair side manner.’ I would highly recommend this crew to anyone looking for quality dental care in Brooklyn.

After most of my local dentist visits, I’ve been less than inspired to leave a positive review. Most times, I want to go home and forget the whole thing happened.
Luckily, with new dental insurance and and a few appointments at Dr. Hansen’s office, I can happily say that honest, highly professional and reliable dental care does actually exist in Brooklyn. Everything about this office, from it’s location, it’s tidy interior and it’s exceedingly professional staff makes each visit a pleasant experience.

Been in park slope for about 3 years now and was starting to look at doctors around the neighborhood. Dr. Hansen’s office is really nice with a lot of cool music posters hanging in the front waiting area. The staff are super friendly and work really hard to make your schedule work with their office. Dr. Hansen is really nice and very professional. You also get a $ 5 starbucks gift card if you refer someone, which I didn’t expect.

My mom had a dental emergency and these guys went out of their way to help her. Top-​notch operation from top to bottom — friendly receptionists who are eager to accommodate and a professional dentist whose true colors shine when it counts. Pristine facilities and old school photos of Park Slope adorning the walls. Superior magazine selection for flaps like me waiting for mom to be okay. And they gave us a discount. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.
