I got the snowy mango with Thai glutinous rice which was pretty good. It was shaved ice that had a milky condensed milk taste and was topped with half of a mango (fresh and sweet with a little tanginess) and a scoop of sweet black glutinous rice. The area was very spacious and cleans. This place is recommended. I’ll be back to try their other desserts.

Very cute café/​dessert spot. Colorful walls, furniture, and even their plates were bright and cheerful. Loved it as soon as I walked in.
After Christmas dinner, we walked in, pleasantly surprised to see so many places open on the holiday. But then again, Chinese establishments often stay open on every day of the year! Very warm inside, but considering it wasn’t too cold outside and was humid and rainy, it felt overwhelming and uncomfortable. My husband and I felt hot and sweaty, with an overall stuffy quality to the air. It made us so sleepy.
My entire family more or less used the bathroom because the restaurant across the street was so dirty. This bathroom had plenty of soap and paper towels, as well as decent toilet paper that didn’t break just as you are trying to dispense it. A big bathroom, longer than wide. Clean overall — no greasy or dirty wet spots on the floor and with the bright lighting in there, nothing can be hidden. They put in a lot more effort into the décor of the place compared to the bathroom, which is understandable. But a clean bathroom that has some thought put into it can sometimes be a nice touch. Just saying.
The two girls taking our orders were young and friendly, spoke accented English (plenty of non-​Chinese folks came by and were able to order easily). They got a little frazzled when we were ordering, because my family/​relatives tend to talk over one another, and there are too many things being thrown out. Ultimately, because of this, they forgot to add my water bottles to the order — we were wondering why we never got them.
It’s not the fastest service. There were two girls but as we were ordering, both of them were there. So I think one girl may have been new? Taking orders is a one person job, and while that’s happening, the other person could actually start taking out some of the pastries, plating them, etc. It would be more efficient. It seemed like they did everything one at a time, or had to double check a lot of things. And it wasn’t exactly busy when we ordered — at that time we were the only ones inside!
Tiramisu — amazing and fresh tasting. Every forkful felt like I was cutting into fluffy and decadent. Not sure if they made it on premise or got it from elsewhere, but it was good quality, so no complaints here!
Vanilla macaron — tasty, soft, and moist, but a bit cold which could have made the inside chewier than it needed to be. I am used to them being room temperature, but maybe this was a way to preserve freshness?
Plenty of drinks (teas, coffees, and blended coffees) available. My aunt loved her frappucino type of drink, and another aunt had some green tea ice cream. An abundance of sweets and variety here. Several tables in the front, and to the back, as well as high chairs for tables mounted to the wall. They encourage people to stay and linger, better than throwing you your drink and dessert and nudging you out the door. We stayed for an hour or longer, easily, and other than the heat, it was pleasant. By the time we left, all the tables in the front were full and others were standing around.

Came here on a saturday night because I’m just really craving for some chinese dessert.
I ordered 2 types of dessert. I got the cold coconut with taro & I add some kiwi on it. The second one is the hot black sesame paste & peanut butter ball. I got it for to go. Sad to say I never liked any of the desserts that I ordered. The coconut with taro & kiwi taste okay but the kiwi in their doesn’t really blend in with the coconut & taro. The black sesame paste taste bad. I tried it & didn’t liked it. Its smells bad too.
All in all I don’t think I’m going back.

I prefer this new dessert spot over several other places in Bensonhurst, the interior is very simple, they do takeout and it’s a very convenient spot for people in the neighborhood to grab a seat anytime. I love sticky rick in coconut flavored anything, totally recommend for any coconut lover to try them! They open kind of late at night, that’s a plus, and they are fairly quickly about their takeout orders, when I do takeouts I generally order more than five, whether by phone or in person, I’m out the door so quickly before I get irritated.

Walked by here on the way to Tenzan on a Friday night and wanted some «sweet soup» after dinner. I along with three others had the mango pomelo and it was very tasty. Not as good as you would get it in HK but still good compared to others. My cousin got the mango snowy ice and she had a great time chowing that down also. Overall, it was yummy. The wait was a little longer than expected but you chat and time goes by. The portions were generous. Net net, I’ll be back!

We’ve been here when this place first openeda few years ago. We tried a few tong sui. Typical ones and we were not impressed. Had decided we wouldnt try this place again when there are others around that makes them much better. We came here recently with frds after our heavy meal from lunch but a girl always have room for desserts. There was another one nearby but the menu was mediocre and not much options so we left and came here. Our frds told us to try this place. Decided to give them another chance. We walked in to see and was ready to bounce if we didnt find anything impressive but the display got us and was eyeing all of them. Especially my husband (hes not a sweets person) he wanted almost everything on there. Told him to «hold your horses, your eyes are bigger than your stomach, choose what you want and ill eat the other one if you’d like) he chose tiramisu a fave of his and chestnut cake. Our frd tried the crème brûlée, lychee ice and the kids tried the manago pudding. The tiramisu was so smooth and delicious. It had the right amount of espresso sprinkled on top and was not too sweet which i like. The chestnut cake was good as well. Our friend said their orders was good and creamy. The kids gobbled up the puddings real quick and wants seconds.
They have reward program if you buy 5 for drinks and 10 tong sui, you get one free after you collect a stamp for those. They don’t offer for the desserts we ordered but that’s okay. Overall im impressed how this place turn out. Def will be back for more

Everything in this place is abominable. The services were super slow and disorganized. Not only that they got my milk tea wrong, but it took about 25 minutes to remake my drink. The worst part of their services is they didn’t care if their customers are unsatisfied.
The milk tea with grass jelly is awful, and that’s like the simplest thing anyone can make. I guarantee local bakery milk tea are a million time better than Just Desserts. Mango Pomelo was distasteful too; the mango soup were so sour and sugarless. I mean it seems like they just put anything on the plate and served. Never coming back! Stay away!

So what do you do when you’re craving some dessert at 10pm on a Sunday night? Why you go on Unilocal to find the nearest dessert spot ofcourse. Even though the place was completely empty it was pretty nice with USB charging ports on almost every table.
We ordered a mango sago with herbal jelly and a scoop of green tea ice cream. It wasn’t too sweet which was great and the herbal jelly was refreshing. Overall I would definitely come back for more desserts.

I came here with friends and my boyfriend after my birthday dinner about two months ago and was excited that Just Desserts expanded their menu.
All of the new menu items sounded amazing! Some of the new menu items available are: mix fruit mango sago, strawberry with ice cream, Matcha red bean pudding, and much more.
My boyfriend ordered the mango sago with grass jelly. I typically don’t eat mango because I’ve had reasons to believe that I may be allergic, but when I tried this I didn’t have any allergic reaction. I liked this dessert and it was full of mango deliciousness, but I liked mine a lot better.
I ordered grass jelly with mixed fruits (watermelon, mango, and strawberry). I enjoyed this dessert very much because it was cool, refreshing, and absolutely delightful. I would definitely get it again.
I really like the new design and plates/​bowls that Just Desserts use now. It adds a nice modern touch to the dessert shop. I’m very glad they’ve made changes because it just makes me want to return here again for even more desserts.

Ordered the Thai gluttonous rice with toddy palm. This was my first time having toddy palm. It’s similar in texture to a harder coconut slice, but it isn’t as sweet. The gluttonous rice had a nice semi-​sweet milk-​like flavor that I enjoyed.
The place was playing k-​pop music videos and is very spacious. Overall it’s a decent Asian dessert spot.

Love the Mango Pomelo dessert. If you are in the hood, give it a try. Also get a card and they stamp it each time you get a dessert for a free one in the future.

Came by here to pick up some desserts. We ordered the black sesame with peanut balls (u can only choose one flavor but they give u 3 balls). We also got the almond paste with black glutinous, mango pomelo w grass jelly and the mango pancake.
The black sesame w peanut balls was pretty good. Its served hot, and when u bite into the balls there are crunched up peanuts inside which complements the sesame paste very well.
The almond paste w black glutinous was ok. It isnt as sweet so if u like sweets u should ask them to sweeten it more.
The mango pomelo w grass jelly wasnt sweet enough neither. The pomelo actually tasted slightly dried as if its old and not fresh.
The mango pancake lastly was not good at all. Its mango flavored skin (barely any flavor tbh) and theres mango purée w whipped cream inside. It wasnt worth it to get that becos it didnt taste anything special.
Overall, id only recommend gettin the hot desserts here and if ure really havin a sweet tooth u should def ask them to sweeten it.

Everything we ordered was a bit too sweet. I ordered the purple dish and all I tasted was sweet. The order 2 aren’t worth raving about either. There are definitely better spots in brooklyn for Hong Kong style desserts.

Looking for a quick fix for your HK dessert craving and you’re not near 8^th ave or 86^th street then this is the spot to be! Durian nice and cold and taste great. The prices are about the same as the other spots. Portion are average. Taste great not too sweet.
Con service is a little slow and make sure you double check your order. They forgot one of our order when ringing us up.

Definitely stick to the asian desserts while you can.
I had a taro milk bubble tea, mango sago and crème brûlée.
The mango sago was great, the taro milk bubble tea lacked sweetness, the crème brûlée was okay, texture was a little off but taste is passable.
They use fresh cut mango sago for their desserts, the soup base was really sweet but I guess it balanced out the lack of sweetness in the taro drink…

Small chinese desserts shop along 18^th ave brooklyn. You’ll find a variety of asian desserts from boba teas to pastries. What is specially offered here though is the durian based desserts. You’ll definitely smell it if one is ordered in the small shop. Went with the mango ice cream with tea based grass jelly. A nicely prepared dessert which satisfied my tummy. No frills kinda spot to hang out after a meal or have a snack.

I had so much hope for this place to do better. The desserts are really mediocre, the service here is slow and inefficient. and the prices are not compatible with the quality. I tried this place once when it first opened and then gave it another chance recently and I still left highly disappointed. If a dessert place like this can’t make Mango Pomelo right then I don’t know what else I’d want to try on their menu.

I had the mango and grass jelly in snow white juice for $ 5.75 and there is plenty of seating to eat in. They give a lot of mango and grass jelly. The snow white juice is icy and flaky, which makes it tasty. I agree with others that they should have more items to choose from on their menu. The menu is quite limited and not much options.

Really cheap desserts. Great quality for the price. Fruits are fresh, not canned or frozen. Better than any other Chinese dessert place I’ve been to in Brooklyn, like Yat Yat and Kulu Desserts.
The stamp rewards card gives you a free drink after the purchase of 5 drinks, or a free dessert after the purchase of 10 desserts.

I came here on a weekday night at about 9pm and the spot was completely empty, not surprisingly. I don’t know what the crowd is like on a weekend, but I assume there’s a few more people inside. Anyhow, the place is a decent size with seating for about 20 people. After looking at the menu, I wasn’t all too impressed due to the lack of items I was used to seeing at Yat Yat. The menu was far from robust and instead of making my life easier with less items, it made my life harder because unfortunately I wasn’t really interested in any of them.
I ended up ordering the Mango Snow Ice, thinking it might be a drink, but it was a giant snow cone shaped creation. It actually looked really good because it was shaped interestingly. However, the flavoring and texture just wasn’t as good as it looked. The ice wasn’t rock solid, but it wasn’t soft either. It was something in between like a shaved ice/​yogurt texture and it definitely was a bit strange. When it melted, it became a gooey mango substance. As I said, the flavor was not great either. It didn’t taste all that «mango-​ish».
I also had a chance to try the Durian & Thai Black Glutinous Rice Snow White. For those Durian lovers out there, they will definitely love this as my friend did. There’s basically a ball of durian next to a plop of Thai Black Glutinous Rice laid on some ice coconut dessert. If I liked Durian I probably would’ve liked it, but since I despise Durian I only had a small bite. The dessert was very cold and refreshing though so anyone who loves Durian would certainly love this.
Just Desserts is definitely for those who love JUST desserts and not drinks. There’s a lack of bubble tea and slushies on their menu, which I wish they would add more of. The tea selection is also very small. There’s potential for this place because the spacing is very good and it’s located in a quiet area on 18^th Avenue. If they expand their menu, I think they could really hit it big like how Yat Yat did.
