History

Established in 2010.

In December 2010 I (Sine Hjort) found a former artist studio tucked away on on Bond street –just by the A/​C/​G trains –with a small garden in back that would make a wonderful bi level boutique. I decided to go for it !! A lot of paint and hard work later we where able to open the door to Juniper Galaxy Brooklyn and delight our shoppers with our talented and innovative designers at great prices!

This Spring we started Thursday Therapy and that is our best idea yet as far as we are concerned. so FUN! We especially featured Made in Midtown!

Thursday Therapy is one night a month where we stay open until 8.30 and drink wine and meet the designer and hear the story behind the collection. We shop their stock and enjoy something brand new at discounted prices!

Coming to New York in 1986 from Copenhagen to play with Alternative Rock Band Maria Excommunikata Sine found everything she had hoped for in New York. After being awfully close to ⁹⁄₁₁ she rebounded by organized several benefits and worked to bring back business for DownTown Manhattan. It was then that she started working with European Fashion and soon ran a Italian showroom on 38 street in Midtown. Fast forward to Feb 2011 where Sine opened Juniper Galaxy her dream boutique in Boerum Hill Brooklyn. I enjoy telling stories and sharing great ideas and I can do that with Juniper Galaxy and help upcoming Designers and my customers at the same time. I enjoy a good designers work but I no longer believe in spending a months income on dress… Dont get me wrong ! I love shopping so I think I know a little bit about how it should be done Sine jokes.
