Good selection of moderately priced wines in Windsor Terrace. I’ve been very pleased with the wines I’ve gotten here. Love that they have a punch card – after 10 purchases, the 11^th bottle is only a dollar! I also like how they put information about food pairings, etc. on most of the wines that are displayed.

I went in to restock my wine collection but I was unable to find any of my favorite wine’s. I asked if they carried the naked grape or once upon a vine and the attendant had never even heard of the brands. I thought that was a little odd. Especially since I am no wine snob. Maybe that was the problem?
They boast a grand selection of boxed wines but I was very underwhelmed by their selection.
Perhaps the selection was a tad to eclectic for my palate.

Shame about Juicebox — it really does have a captive audience as there’s nothing else in the neighborhood. Selection of wines is boring, the staff vary sometimes super helpful other times downright rude– they really favor people who go in often. I live nearby and I used to go in all the time but the wine selection hasn’t really changed in years so I tend to buy wine elsewhere on my way home from work. You with the beard: try to stop looking cool and offer help to people who aren’t your friends and that would be a start.

I am so sad because this has been my favorite neighborhood wine shop since they opened their doors. I went in to purchase a lot of wine for a party and was given specific instructions to buy 3 – 4 bottles of Rose. When I didn’t see any on the shelves, I asked the guy working and he said, it should be on that shelf. I went and looked, there was none, so I asked again. He said it was in the boxes. I asked if I should look in the boxes and he said, there’s some cold in the fridge and basically threw 4 bottles on the counter with a dismissive hand gesture. I was scared to ask how much they cost or which he recommended so I just bought over $ 80 worth of white and red wines and went somewhere else to buy Rose. When I asked how the Bandit Brand boxed Pinot Grigio was, he said well it’s Pino Grigio so it’s flavorless. WTF??? He was so rude and didn’t even say thank you when I made my large purchase. Granted he seemed really stressed out but that is no way to treat a customer. After I redeem my free bottle from my punch card I am taking my business elsewhere — BYE FELICIA DON’T NEED YA

I live in the neighborhood and they favor only hi-​end customers. Palo Viejo Rum at $ 17 for a FIFTH is not neighborly — nor are ‘nips’ that starts at $ 3.99 — unbelievable — 50ml of Early Times at $ 3.99! They could easily carry some regular liquors at competitive prices but they won’t — let the working man shop somewhere else — we don’t want him!!!

Definitely on the small side and with that comes a poor selection. They have tastings every once in a while. Staff seems somewhat knowledgeable but the attitude keeps me away. The punch cards are the only reason to come here.

So glad to have moved near this great liquor store. It might be the only game in town, but it’s terrific. Helpful and knowledgeable staff, great selection with great prices, and a good quirky vibe, too.

New favorite wine and liquor store! Super charming with a helpful dude behind the counter. A great place to buy collectors gifts. They have an an entire craft/​Brooklyn section. A great little shop.

I wish I could simultaneously give this place 3 stars and 5 stars.
5 stars: If you want to sample 17 different kinds of local whiskey, you will find them here. They will be delicious. You might be embarrassed by how often you return to try new local whiskeys and a variety of uniquely flavored bitters (chocolate bitters? sign me up!).
3 stars: If you want to mix your local whiskey in a classic cocktail — say, a Manhattan or a Boulavardier — you will need classic ingredients like sweet vermouth, Campari, and angostura bitters. Sometimes you will find these ingredients, but more often than not the Juice Box will be sold out for weeks or even months. You will stare longingly at the gap on the shelf where Campari should be, and wonder what asshole needs a giant bottle of blackberry liquor.

Some of the best liquor store employees you’ll ever meet work in this place. Go there !

This place is the best for their suggestions-​trust them! The staff is super friendly and they usually play awesome music for your browsing pleasure. They also have the cutest little playhouse for the kiddies in the back and water+treats for the pups!

This is one of the best wine shops i’ve ever been to. I have never gotten a bad bottle of wine here and i never end up spending more then $ 12. They also have events and tastings so if you go in sign up for their mailing list. Love this place!

I like going here cause I get great, friendly service, good conversation, and good prices. they also have convenient hours of operation.
I was there recently to buy a couple bottles of wine for a dinner party. the young lady who helped me was not a regular employee there and was covering for her sister (?). she was pretty, super nice, informative, smiled a lot, and pretty. I got a couple of bottles at a good price and I was happy.

I absolutely love this place. A totally comfortable environment to sample and buy wine. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. It’s not the least expensive wine shop in the area but it is the most comfortable.

A lovely wine & spirits store with friendly and helpful staff and owners offering a wide range of prices (mostly wallet-​friendly, but splurges are available) with zero attitude.
The only problem is that it is too damn close to my apartment.

These guys are friendly and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to recommend and are sure to make you feel at home. Juice Box carries an excellent selection of spirits as well (sorry, no beer); many distilled in Brooklyn! Surprise!!!
They do tastings too and are apt to have you try something new. If they know you, they go out of their way to show you something out of the ordinary. Give them a try next time you need a bottle for dinner or to share with friends and family.
Some wine shops (like the one on Prospect Park West) treat you like you have never tried wine before and that you aren’t even sure that it is made from grapes. These guys are happy to add in their own take without coming off as know-​it-​all jerk-​stores. We love them!

Used to go to Windsor Wines but no more I’ve black balled them. The blonde guy with glasses was always super condescending regarding my wine purchases. I frequented there 2 – 3 times a week. I decided to take my business elsewhere.

I live in Astoria so I don’t get down here very often but I make a point to when I’m looking for something special or something affordable and sometimes the two just happen to coincide. The last time I visited I bought a white (Clos de Rochers Auxerrois 2008), a red (Château Fongaban Grand Vin de Bordeaux 2005) and a special bottle of Irish whiskey I’d been looking for for a long time, Red Breast. Only a handful of places have the stuff and those that do tend to mark it up astronomically.
The layout is straight-​forward and clean. Being that they are a small space, they edit their offerings well as has been mentioned. The staff are very knowledgeable and do not speak down to customers nor do they try to upsell them. Regardless of me knowing some of the staff, if I lived in the area I would be a regular patron. This place has a great feel, a great selection and perhaps most importantly, a great staff.

A quirky and cute, itty bitty teenie weenie wine store with a carefully edited selection of new and old world wines and excellent customer service. Based on my request for a less common grape varietal they didn’t carry, they were able to steer me towards something similar that I had never tried before. They offer punch cards for frequent buyers too.
PS: They actually do offer «juice boxes”=wine in cartons by Yellow & Blue, supposedly better than typical boxed wine.
