Jolie Kinga Photography

Jolie is wonderful. She has a pleasant demeanor and makes you feel at ease. The photos for our new website are wonderful. She definitely captured the essence of the practice.

As someone who tends to break out into a nervous toothy smile in front of a camera, Jolie knew how to put me at ease so I can comfortably be myself. When I saw the results, I understood why she took the time to get to know me before we started shooting: the shots are a representation of how I normally appear to people around me, and not how I expect myself to appear on camera. Working with Jolie was a delightful experience, but I also learned what makes her a great photographer: her intuition and inquisitive nature brought out a subject’s character, and her skills and talent took care of the rest.

The most important thing in a photographer, in my opinion, is that they make you feel comfortable. If you don’t have a good feeling when your photo is being taken, that comes across in the final product. Jolie is wonderful. She did a photo session for a project I was working on, and I barely knew she was there (that means I was very comfortable). The pictures turned out great.

As an actor I know how important (and stressful!) getting headshots can be. By far, working with Jolie has been the best experience I have ever had! She really took the time to consult with me about my personality and career goals which made all the difference. When I finally met her in person the day of the shoot I already felt so comfortable, like I had known her for ages! She made me feel completely relaxed in front of the camera and used her incredible understanding of art and emotions to get some of the most compelling shots I’ve ever had taken. Her amazing attitude and personality made the entire shoot such a wonderful experience. I HIGHLY recommend Jolie! She is the only photographer I’m going to from now on!

When a piece of art is truly great it contains an emotional truth that transcends time. Jolie’s work does just that. She has a remarkable sense of story, and can work on a tight budget. Her approach to filmmaking makes it obvious for the editor what to do. Jolie has a sense of composition that is stunning, and sometimes overshadows her real strength — working with talent!
My background is in social media and music. I was the first ever head of Online Entertainment for FoxKids, and I have toured the USA including performing at Willie Nelson’s Farm Aid. I engaged Jolie for social media music project. In the course of developing a product for a client, we co-​produced two music videos and a series of stills for the campaign.
Her work went far beyond a test and turned the project into a true piece of art that stands by itself. Top studio executives, advertisers and social media experts universally agree that the photography and videography in this series is outstanding.
Jolie is equally comfortable in a corporate environment presenting to executives, as she is out on the set working with different personalities.
My opinion is: if you can hire her, do hire her! Judge for yourself.

I needed some professional photos done so contacted a few local photographers. Jolie gave the most reasonable rate, and since her reviews are great, I went with her.
The experience went seamlessly. Simple and efficient to book with, nice location with plenty of parking, and a beautiful layout. Jolie was prompt, courteous, flexible, and friendly. I was put at ease with the photos and am satisfied with the end result. I’ve worked with a few photographers over the years and she was the most easygoing and fun.
It’s amazing how she is about 50% the price of her competitors yet delivers an equal, if not better, product.

This post is a little late but much deserved– Sorry for not posting sooner Jolie. What can I say– We Love Jolie!
She has rescued me several times now. I’ve scheduled at her studio and on location.
At her Studio she had lighting and a backdrop set-​up. She worked with my boss, and I along with another co-​worker directing via FaceTime. That project had a very small time frame and she easily worked with our schedule. Immediately after that session she handed over the high-​res images we needed.
On Location my Boss told me that day– «Hey! We need a Photographer– now!» Aahhhh!!! I didn’t know what to do and hoped and prayed that Jolie could make it and she did! I was so grateful. She came to the location in Downtown LA and did some photo journalism and a few shots we needed to submit to a contest. She stayed with us all day until the project wrapped. Both of my Bosses were there that day and we were all very grateful that she was able to stay and work with us for hours.
Now for the images– they are awesome! Exactly what we needed for both projects or should I say images that we have used for many projects.

My photo shoot with Jolie was a learning experience. It was my first time getting a professional photograph taken and she made me feel very comfortable and natural as if I have been doing this forever. She made me comfortable and the pictures came out amazing. I would highly recommend Jolie for any headshot/​professional photos and any form of photography.

Unlike the masses in LA, I am not an actor (or is it pronounced «waiter»?). I’m also not particularly comfortable in front of the camera. In fact, there are few pictures of me from the age of 13 to 24 (for good reason — puberty is not sexy). However, even for us regular folk, headshot requests from prospective and current employers are becoming the norm.
Jolie Kinga is fantastic.
I read the reviews on Unilocal today, contacted her right away and she was able to fit me in the same day. She’s easy to get along with and the experience was fun, comfortable, and, even for me, enjoyable! No weird poses. No looking off into the distance. Just natural settings.
Most importantly, the pictures came out fantastic. It *almost* makes me want to be an actor/​waiter/​bartender/​whatever.

Jolie is an amazing person and a professional photographer. I’m not a person who I like to be photographed and I needed a photo of myself for my website so I was very nervous, Jolie knew to guide me and to get the best shots from the best angle. I have already used Jolie for the second time, but this time it was to shoot my work (Architecture) — again, she did an amazing job!!! I’ll recommend Jolie to friend and family

Cannot, CANNOT say enough about Jolie! I came in to do some professional shots and some fun shots too and she really took the time to make me feel comfortable and make the environment fun. She was really go with the flow and really great at finding my best angle. I didn’t come prepared and she made do with what I had so well that it didn’t look like anything was missing! I loved that I was able to get shots right away-​it helped tremendously with my deadline for my website. 5 stars!!!

People you better use this kind lady’s fantastic photography services before she realizes how exquisite the quality of her work is and starts charging accordingly. I had her do head shots and interior photography and was pleasantly surprised with how she made both become magically alive with a beauty I hadn’t seen before. Must be nice looking at the world through her eyes. Her down to earth charm and professionalism made it very easy to work with her and I felt like I was among friends throughout the whole process.

From my experience… Jolie was a VERY easy going and a friendly photographer. She made me feel totally at ease during my session with her. She totally exceeded all my expectations and for the good! I am SUPER pleased with my results. I will definitely book her again! On a side note: It is hard to find non-​pretentious, friendly, artistic and creative people in LA. Honestly, she seems to me to just have the right balance of character, balanced thinking and a natural eye for photography… :))) Oh. oh and i really, REALLY loved her Urban Yoga photography on her site. ahh, love that! As a massage therapist I haven’t needed head shots or modeling photos, so my perspective is a little different, I know how passionate Jolie is about her work, I’ve seen her pour over hundreds of pictures, that to me looked the same, but she’s able to scrutinize the subtle differences nuances of her work and get the most perfect image for that client. From location choices, to considering the clients personality, to just the brass tacks of their professional needs, she’s a pro. Anyone can take a picture, but those qualities are what what make an artist. Jolie’s images will be the first thing they see when you’re looking for work, which is a very good thing, because she’s one of the best. Photography is clearly her love, her life, and her passion.

I am takin the time to write this review because Jolie’s photography has truly left a great impression on me. Jolie has a very unique combination of flexibility and tons of creative ideas as well as strong vision and the ability to hone in on your personality, best angles, and marketability which is so important as an actor in LA. Jolie also had a copy of my proofs on CD the very next morning. I highly recommend utilizing her service and I can assure you that you’ll be happy you did!!!

One of the most important traits in a good photographer is making the client feel relaxed and pampered. Another important quality of a skilled photographer is the natural ability to capture a visual that is flattering yet authentic, creative yet natural. Jolie has the talent for both.
