The absolute worst, I would give it zero stars if I could. Overpriced in general, bad odor throughout, meat always off, expired food on their shelves. And they don’t take Amex, even my corner deli guy takes Amex! The layout makes no sense, takes forever to find anything.

I live only 1 block from this store and I’ll never go back. Every time I go in here, I find at least 3 – 4 expired products on the shelves. Not to mention that I’ve numerous times found expired meat products, products not being kept at the proper temperature, and meat dated to expire soon that when opened has an odor no unspoiled food has ever had. My only guess is that they’re lying about the dates or can’t figure out a calendar. This place is honestly dangerous if people aren’t extremely cautious about what they’re buying and inspect every product before walking out… and even then, who knows. Save yourself the trouble, annoyance, and possible trip to the hospital and walk a few extra blocks to another store.

What a disappointment. They never stock staples, just less desirable variations of a basic. Always foul odor inside. I wouldn’t dare go near their meat and their produce is usually left on the shelves to rot. NO ONE that works there knows where anything is and frankly, I don’t blame them; the layout of the store makes no sense. The staff seems miserable and I’m surprised any of them returned after the 3 month «Repair Hyades» JBJ’s took, seemingly leaving all their produce to rot further while their refrigeration was repaired. Walk the extra 3 blocks to C-​Town.

Never ever buy meats or produce here. Meats are always bad. One day later slimy and stinky. I tried many times. Nice selection of dry and packaged goods and cheeses and bread.

I’m constantly disappointed by this place but sometimes pop in because it’s closest. I’d walk the extra few blocks to another grocery store. The fresh fruits and vegetables here are always in horrible shape, and meats, dairy, etc. are often expired and still on the shelf. It’s always the same story.

This is a great place to get your Christmas tree — I got a ‘big’ tree for $ 45 and the helpful, and engaged member of staff on duty — drove me home locally with my tree to Windsor Terrace, carried it to the 3^rd floor, and helped me place it in the stand.

From the outside this looks like a small space for a full service supermarket. But as soon as you get inside you’ll be impressed by how well they make good use of a limited space. The fruit and vegetable selection could be a little bit better, but overall this is a great supermarket. And you sure can’t go wrong with the hours!

This key food sure knows how to use its space (it’s packed to the brim) and has a crazy name to boot. Has most of the foodstuffs you need (all the basics), and some prepared foods and cold cuts (although I’d probably look elsewhere for that). I’m glad it’s moved to the neighborhood and offers an alternatives to its huge sibling c-​town. Terrible beer selection tho…

Good for your non-​perishables, but be careful with meats and veggies. I’ve picked up a few meat items and salad mixes that were already close to «turning».

I came in here looking for some cold beer, the tall boys (24 oz). They didn’t have any of my usual brands so I opted for 2 22 oz cans of Sapporo which is Japanese beer. They take credit cards which was a good thing because I was saving my cash for the Brooklyn Pride Street fair which is where I was headed.

I shop here even though other stores are closer. They have a nice selection of healthy foods and vegetables. Their fish selection is good and you can make your own almond butter in store! Also they have a nice collection of cheeses and bakery items for their size. I will continue to shop here.

Since this place is listed here under two names Here I go again. Awful grocery quality, prices not that great and overall getting worse and worse. Sorry, I tried many times over the last year

The 24 hour grocery store has approached my neighborhood. This «Key Foods» is a welcome addition to the ‘hood, although its more like a faux Key Foods because size-​wise it’s no bigger than one of the slope organic marketspaces. Still they have mostly everything you need but the problem is some of my essentials live on really really high shelves. Still if you flag someone they’ll get up a ladder and get it for you.

Overall, a giant place with good selection. However, the place definitely loses a star for not selling beer. :(

Not a supermarket but a superbodega — the best thing is that its open 24 hours. I really want to like this market. Maybe ive just been shopping at c-​town too long and know where everything is but every time I go into Jo, Brian, and Joseph’s Key Food, my shopping is incomplete. I can never seem to find the cut of chicken or beef that I like. It took them a while to stock fresh veggies and fruit, every time I want to buy my favorite lo-​fat or no-​fat plain face yogurt, all they have are flavors. I do commend them b/​c they listen when I tell them what they need. but why should I do partial shopping there when I can go 4 blocks farther and get everything I need at c-​town. Oh well, I guess its just an emergency store.

So glad this grocery store opened up! Since it’s super close to my apartment, I have even more incentive to cook this summer.
It’s smaller than C-​Town but probably a bit bigger than Met foods. They offer a lot of organic stuff, which is nice. They have a deli meats counter, but no butcher/​fishmonger– all meat/​fish is packaged and can be found in the back.
Why the 3 stars? Sometimes shelves are empty and I think they’re still working on getting more produce. One time there was an electric outage where the meats/​fish were refrigerated– hopefully they fixed that immediately.
I had some small talk with one of the cashiers as I was checking out and he mentioned that they aim to be open 24 hours within the next few weeks. If this goes through, then I’m adding 2 stars to my update review!

I’m pretty psyched about this market. The Key Food sales are in effect – this means 75 cent Fage yogurts, as well as crap. But also, they have a lot of things that you don’t expect them to have. I had a snotty Brooklyn recipe for which I needed fresh herbs and organic free range chicken broth and they had it and had it for very competitive prices. The place is tiny, so it’s apt to be crowded (plan ahead), but I am overall very happy with the choices they are making and only hope they expand their organic produce/​meat.

This new market has most of the features of a regular supermarket packed into a much smaller space. In fact, it reminded me of the local Union Markets, though not as posh.
Not that you need posh. Sometimes you just want Velveeta. That said, this joint is packed with high quality stuff.
Initially, it looks like a small, corner grocery, but once inside you realize there’s a lot of depth. Again, it’s not the size of a big market, but much bigger than a typical bodega. There’s a meat section, a smaller deli, fresh produce, frozen and dairy, but the bulk is bulk goods, which cover the basics and dabble in various ethnic fares. I don’t think it would fulfill my larger grocery needs, but it offers a place to grab much of the basics. And that’s great.
I walk by all the time and can see myself popping in for stuff. It’s not a destination market. But a good choice if nearby and they have your stuff in stock. Everything seemed fresh and I’ll likely be grabbing stuff to take home and cook up for lunch/​dinner.
