I’m Jenny Naima, a Brooklyn-​based photographer of weddings, portraits, elopements, engagements, headshots, pets, events, and more.

I specialize in photographing people and events in an intimate and authentic documentary style.

History

Established in 2008.

Born and raised mostly in Western Massachusetts, I picked up my first camera as a little girl, and haven’t put it down since. I have a BFA in photography from Parsons. I pride myself in my ability to connect with people, making you feel at ease while documenting your essence in a photograph.

After graduating with a B.F.A in photography from Parsons, I went on to work for the USA cable network in the photography department.

I also worked as a photography teacher at a residential treatment center for five years.

Some of my clients include: The Andean Collection, Scifi Channel, The honorable Arthur Birnbaum, Carolyn Jones, and many more.

In addition to collecting vintage cameras, I enjoy walking around Brooklyn, taking photos with my old & new cameras. I love animals of all kinds, and have two wonderful kitties.

Jenny was one of my favorite vendor finds for our wedding. She’s incredibly talented and just so lovely to work with. Her pricing is amazing (I was price conscious but also unwilling to downgrade in quality for price when it came to capturing my wedding day). She is extremely responsive — we were married two weeks ago and already received a quick social share email from her with a couple teaser pictures as well as a larger set of preview photos which have me CHOMPING AT THE BIT to get the rest in a month. Spending so much time with her on my wedding day was like having another planner or bridesmaid — she fit right in and made everyone laugh/​feel comfortable (including my husband who HATES having his pictures taken and PDA… both of which are required on a day like your wedding!). We also negotiated Jenny coming to our rehearsal dinner, which I would highly recommend — I have a feeling that trend will become more and more popular as it allows for less formal pictures of family and wedding party before the big day. LOVE Jenny. Can’t wait to book her for other life events… I know she’ll do an amazing job.

Jenny Naima’s photography is magical. I say that realizing that some of you may think i am hyperbolizing, but I’ve been through my fair share of photographers in the past 6 years and nobody treats their work with as much care as Jenny. Getting head shots is always such an awkward event but she always makes me comfortable and at ease. She’s always smiling which makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. She gives amazing direction which is fantastic because she know better what’s going beyond that lense than I do. Anyway, my only problem is she takes so many stellar photos that It takes too much time to choose one. I’ve seen her wedding photos which is clearly her forte because she’s clearly a romantic at heart. I you want your wedding to look like a fairy tale… Ask for Jenny Naima Photography.

Jenny is the best!!! We hired her to shoot our engagement photos and our wedding in Brooklyn. We chose her because she was highly recommended by a friend whose wedding she photographed.
Not only is Jenny an extremely talented photographer, she is an absolutely lovely human being. Warm, friendly, and unobtrusive, by the end of our wedding, she felt like family.
She had our photos ready super quickly. She captured every moment with such style and beauty that we were totally blown away.
She made everyone look SO good and so natural, a feat that is pretty hard to accomplish with my family (who hopefully isn’t reading this — hi Dad!). We can’t wait to hire her to do portraits when we start a family of our own.

Jenny photographed my wedding in Sonoma, CA in September. Her photographs were absolutely gorgeous and really captured the colorful and festive atmosphere of the event. She brought along a second photographer, which was great to get multiple angles of the ceremony. I particularly loved her portraits, both posed and candid. She was fantastic to work with and I look forward to working with her again in the future!
