Jaffa Car Service

We have used this car service for a few years. The drivers are okay. However, the dispatcher (he says his name is Alex) has been a screaming looney on a couple of occasions. On both occasions he said the car would be here in X minutes. After waiting twice or three times that amount, I called to see what happened and was told the driver was either pulling up right now or that he was two minutes away. So when the driver still didn’t show I call to find out what is going on. The idea being if the car bike down or was stuck in traffic I could find alternate transportation. But at this point (I am merely inquiring) Alex starts yelling, accusing me of lying (that is an outrageous thing to say to a customer especially when I had only asked a question!), saying it hadn’t been half an hour, and then really getting nuts when I point out the cell phone recorded the time I called… I finally just hung up. The only reason we have used this car service again is because we have gotten to know some of the drivers and they’re okay folks. But no more – any company that would keep a rude, I’ll-bred lout like Alex in their employ deserves to be avoided by the public.

Wow I wish I could give these people a worse rating. The dispatcher is a nice guy but the drivers are simply disgusting lately. I’ve had some nasty experiences with this cab service. The drivers take it upon themselves to take their own tip money out of your change. They’re RUDE and their cars smell terrible. Some of them speed while taking you to your destination. Don’t use them unless you’re desperate.

The worst car service, the cars smell like old dirty man, filthy, drivers give attitude because don’t understand English, so you can’t explain where you need to go. Had to go to JFK scheduled two days before, confirmed the day before, called the day of departure and they brushed me of with a reason «our drivers don’t want to go, we doing local stops only» bye! They located on the same block where I live!!! But never agen.

I gave them one star because I could not post without one, they don’t deserve one. These people should not be in business. I unfortunately use them because they are the closest to my house. So many bad trips to write about but the most recent and the reason I have now switched to Nostrand is because I trusted them to drive my daughter to a party and since they only speak Russian they drove her to the wrong address at 9pm at night and without making sure she was in the right place, the idiot driver left her in the street and drove off. This was not exactly the best neighborhood in Brooklyn, she’s 17 dressed for a party standing there in the rain! Don’t give these people your business, if you are not Russian they don’t want your business!

Always quickly to get car from the base on east 16^th and Quentin. Longer to get the car to pick you up from home. Overall reliable service.

JUST used this car service, Excellent service, I have issues seeing in low light conditions and dispatcher was nice enough to walk me to the car… Nice people and low rates, A+

I used their services once when the Q train decided not to run for 30mns on a weekday early evening, which meant I was running late to the Brooklyn Elite baseball event at Coney Island.
Conveniently located right next to the Kings Hway B/​Q station, on the Quentin Rd side, is their hole in the wall car service. It took the guy a few minutes to notice me standing there but once he did, he got me on my way with one of their drivers within 5 minutes.
Dude got me from A to B for a reasonable price, with no problem. I’ll probably use them again.

The car service is conveniently located next door to the Kings Hwy B/​Q train station. I’ve taken this car service a few times in the past without any problems. After the last ride, however, I’d rather wait for another car service to come pick me up if I need a ride from the train station. The driver talked and acted like someone who was totally stoned!!! I just prayed I would get home safely. Will not risk it again!!!

Now I don’t expect a whole lot form a car service experience, you know get me there in a timely fashion and don’t charge me and arm and a leg, and we’re cool.
I decided I was going to be an awesome brother and pick my twin sister up from Kings Plaza where her bus from Binghamton dropped her off.
Carefully calculating the time it would take me to get to KP from mi casa, to make sure the cab driver didn’t wait too long, and neither did my sister.
Confidant I strolled into Jaffa and announced:
M: «I need a car to Kings Plaza!”*
J: „It’s going to be about 10 min, is that all right?“
M: „Yea, it’s fine“
I whipped out my cell phone and text my twin saying
„Sorry it’s going to be 10 min for a car, I didn’t anticipate that, I’ll be there soon“
As promised 10 min later I wiggled into the backseat of one of their cars and told the driver that I’m going to pick someone up from Kings Plaza
M: „I need to go to Kings Plaza to pick someone up, and then drop us off again at Kings Highway“
D:“Will they be there when you arrive?»
M:“Yes“
D:“How long do I have to wait.“
M: «You don’t have to wait at all, she’ll be there»
D: «So, do you need me to take you back?»
M: «Yes, dude, take us to Kings Plaza and then back»
5 min later I chirpped up
M: «She’s on the corner of Avenue U and East 53^rd.»
D: No response
M: «Hello?»
D: No response
Nervous that he fell asleep behind the wheel or something I said again
M: Helloooooooooo!?!
D: No response
He then closed the window dividing the backseat and the driver.
Are you serious? Was I annoying you by making sure that you took me to the right spot?
Then he started smoking a cigarette, and yea jerk just because that plexiglass window is closed doesn’t mean I can’t smell you flavored cigarette.
