iLoad Laundry & Dry Cleaning

I am sorry but what the heck is wrong with this business? You offer dry cleaning but your website and app is completely geared towards washing clothes. What do I put when you ask me if I want my whites washed with bleach??? I don’t feel comfortable with these questions given I am only trying to have my clothes dry cleaned? How hard is it to get this business model right? You don’t have to be a genius. People just use fly cleaners.

These are probably the most rude, incompetent and unprofessional people I have ever dealt with. They lost $ 400 dollars of my husbands clothes. First, they kept telling me that they had a «screw up and misplaced my husband’s clothes», however, they guaranteed that the clothes would get delivered. When they finally did get delivered, not one, but TWO times they gave me SOMEONE ELSES clothes. After the second time this happened, the response from the Customer Service was to «just keep the clothes». Ok, so keep someone else’s clothes? Really?! Who in their right mind says that?! After going back and forth with them for about a week — in which they proceeded to avoid my calls, not return them and even have the audacity to HANG UP ON ME when I did magically get in touch with them — they finally owned up to LOSING not misplacing my husband’s clothes, they said they would send a check for compensation of lost clothes. This was 6 weeks ago and I have YET to receive a check.
Clearly, if you look at my profile and peek my other comments, I am not one to come on Unilocal just to write less-​than-​stellar reviews as a personal catharsis for being disgruntled customer. I am writing this for others who have not used the service, or who are currently using this service to BEWARE. Yes, for people who live in Brooklyn it is awesome and convenient that they pick-​up at your residence and payments are done automatically. It truly saves the hassle of going to a dry cleaner and dropping off your clothes and getting that good ‘ol ticket that you need to ensure you don’t lose. HOWEVER, for iLoad there is no exact record of the clothes you gave them. They also DO NOT have a clear location, so God forbid if you have an issue like I did, you cannot even go to the business and reason with the boss/​owner. What I’ve learned from this experience is that sometimes the convenience isn’t worth it — just go to your local dry-​cleaner, get your ticket (proof) and keep it movin!

I’ve used them two or three times. They are superbly punctual and reliable. However, the last time I ordered my wash it returned with my intact stains which, from my own experience, come out quite easily. It was a bit bizarre.

Great service. They’re really accommodating to my schedule and work with me on convenient delivery/​pickup times. Very friendly and reliable. I recommend them for sure.

The quality of their service has gone down so much since the first time I used them, I’m starting to think they changed management.
We set up a pickup (with one day in advance) for Sunday morning 8−10am. By 11.30 am no one had even called us. So we tried reaching out and both phone numbers stated on the website are down. Wrote a couple of emails to them, and the finally called back around 1pm. Today, we were supposed to get our clothes in between 8 – 10 am. It’s 1pm, nothing. So we manage to get the guy on the phone and he tell us «oh yeah!, the driver couldn’t make it, so we’ll be there at 5pm», what??? not even a we’re so sorry, or any kind of apology. These people don’t take their job seriously, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Save yourself some money and go somewhere else.

As many reviewers have noted, at some point last year iLoad switched owners and the service is now terrible. Don’t waste your time.
I had weekly service with them for several months. They were late or skipped pickups and deliveries a few times, but that’s not even the majority of our frustration.
For one thing, the billing was very erratic — they would go three weeks without billing and then charge us 3 or 4 times in a row. Many times they did this incorrectly and we had to get a refund, which is a struggle when no one answers the phone or returns your messages.
After we finally canceled our service, they continued to charge our debit card. After struggling to get ahold of anyone at the company, I was finally promised a refund, which never materialized. Multiple phone calls and emails had no effect. I had to dispute the charge on my debit card, which is still pending. Who knows if I’ll see the money again.
Finally, beyond all of this, they are bad at washing clothes. Always wrinkled, unsorted, and occasionally lapsing into a pretty bad-​smelling detergent.
1 year ago I would have given 5 stars; 0 stars now.

There service has plummeted so far down hill do not use them. They do not return phone calls, they do not pick up or deliver on time and on more then one occasion they have double charged my credit card.
They must have changed owners the service is terrible now.

I have to take back my previously good review. The charged me $ 73 for 28 lbs of laundry! When I asked them to explain how that’s possible. I received no response. I asked again and still received no response. I had to call my credit card company to file a dispute. Unacceptable.

There are a lot of negative reviews for this place beginning in the Fall of this year so I figured I’d share my experience. The first time I used them, the delivery guy left my bag downstairs when I had specified COD for this order. So yeah, I was annoyed.
However, I had surgery in October and my days of lugging my own laundry bags to be washed were over for 6 – 8 weeks while I healed. I started using them again on a weekly basis to get my clothes washed. They’ve ran late a few times but they usually call and it’s never been more than 10 minutes or so outside of the requested time.
As far as the actual clothes? No issues to report as of yet. Clothes are washed, dried, folded, and packed well. I’m all healed up now and can lift heavy things again but I’m going to continue to use this service because I have to admit… it’s kinda nice to just open my door and get clean laundry.

This place has the absolute worst customer service. Their website offers you the option to request that your clothes are hung dry. Then when you do so they still wash and dry your clothes! My clothes have shrunk and of course were ruined. In addtion to that my pink shirt was returned with a white bleach stain on it that wasn’t there when I sent it. I’ve called on numerous occassions to request some form of reimbursement for my damaged clothes and I just got the run around. I finally got in touch with Michael the owner and he said that he would send me a check for my damages and it’s been over a week and I haven’t received anything. I am very big on customer service and I never compromise on principles so I have sense filed a suit to take them to court for the damages done to my clothes. I understand that mistakes happen but to totally ignore my concerns and not even attempt to resolve my issues it just inconsiderate. DO NOT SEND YOUR CLOTHES HERE!!!
Additionally, there was a washcloth in my laundry that doesn’t belong to me which clearly proves that they place that is wahing the clothes isn’t organized.

do not use this service. my laundry is missing and they don’t even bother to return emails or multiple phone calls.
worst experience possible and pretty awful business to not even have the courtesy of answering my multiple queries. i probably will never see my stuff again or hear from these shifty characters. the so called change of management is clearly a disaster.

If a zero star review was possible it would go to this place.
We have first tried them out a while back and decided to give them a second shot. The first time we had used them they delivered the wrong bag and had to go back and get the right one.
this time it’s even worse. They were late to pick it up Tuesday night and was supposed to deliver it yesterday. I waited around all day and we skipped dinner plans to wait for the delivery that never came.
No replies to emails or phone calls. If it doesn’t show up tonight I’m going to be sad faced.

I wish I could give this place a zero, since that’s what I received from iLoad.
After visiting their slick website and seeing a number of high-​five reviews on this here site, I felt like this could be the answer to my no-​time-​to-​do-​laundry-​or-​even-​think-​about-​dry-​cleaning prayers. And with the quick sign up and the on-​time pick up of my dry cleaning, it certainly started out that way.
Then…I received an email saying hooray! my order had been processed but with a shady «PS There is a possibility that your delivery must be pushed off a bit, due to our restructure and volume, we hope it’s not a problem, we will keep you posted.» To which I replied a general, that’s fine, just has to be before 9am or after 7pm the next day (Tuesday) since a girl’s gotta work and I am traveling on business for two weeks starting Wednesday and need the goods for the trip.
I received a quick reply back from rep «Sandy J» saying «We hope that we could deliver it in the morning. In case its not going to be done on time, we will contact you in the morning to let you know the exact delivery time. However we will make sure not to cause you any problems or delays.»
Cool. Friendly and thorough. Well, the morning came and went with no call. I followed up asking for details. 8. hours. later. I hear back from Sandy saying she just received my email and apologized that no one called but… wait for it…
She was «informed that due to mechanical problems one of our machines were out of service today and your stuff was not cleaned yet.»
I emailed back saying that I would take the unclean clothes back if they delivered them this evening as I’m leaving, again, first thing tomorrow morning. SHOCKINGLY i didn’t heard back. SHOCKINGLY there was no answer at their office. SHOCKINGLY no one has returned my voicemail. I even emailed again saying that i would come to them — to pick up my clothes myself so I can have them before i leave.
Still no response. My clothes are officially being held hostage and I have a naked two-​weeks of business travel ahead of me.

NOTE 9÷29÷11: The review below is old, and was written before iLoad’s change in management. Since the change I cannot, in good conscience, let this review stand with four stars. After the business changed hands, things went downhill. I recently decided to try them again and scheduled a pickup between 6−8am. They did not show up, did not call, and when I left them a message, they called back at 11AM (sic) not even realizing their mistake.
is a bit more expensive I think, but they seem a lot more reliable than the new iLoad online.

I discovered this service through my girlfriend who, like me, HATES doing laundry. I’d tried other dropoff/​delivery services in the past and found them to be just too expensive to justify the convenience so I always walked my laundry to the laundromat and dropped it off myself. iLoad changed all that for me, since their prices are a very reasonable $ 1 per pound — even cheaper than the place I was previously taking it to. As for the service, you set your own pick up and delivery times, and never have they been late or not shown up. My clothes always come back, clean fresh and dry. The only reason I give them 4 stars instead of five is that their dry cleaning service is, unlike the laundry, a bit on the pricey side. A shirt is $ 3.00, which is a dollar more than where I usually take my dry cleaning. All in all, a great service at a great price. Recommended.

This place is awesome and very accommodating. Everything Gets delivered perfectly folded, smelling awesome, and sorted out. Friendly staff.

I might still be in the throes of bedbug eradication Hell, and my arms may still look like they belong to a plague victim, but I’m 100 percent confident that the eighty-​something pounds of clothes, sheet and towels they picked up this morning are absolutely bedbug free. Likewise, I’m 100 percent satisfied with the care and speed that they took with my stuff.
In the course of eight or so hours, they found my license, debit card and flash drive I accidentally left in a pair of jeans; put aside some sweats that I didn’t realize could have been ruined in the wash and dry; and reduced the price when I said I found them through Unilocal,promptly sending me a corrected invoice.
A lot of people and places have better opinions about herpes than they do about bedbugs, and dealing with the extermination is enough insanity as it is. Hopefully I don’t have to deal with this again, but I know who I’d call if I do. Not only do these folks know what they’re doing, they’re doing it extremely well.

Found this laundry service on Unilocal and called them up. They don’t usually do pick ups on Sunday nights, but the guy on the phone said he would pass by anyways since I was a first time customer. They came on time and were polite. Dropped off my 60lbs + of clothing back at my house as scheduled. Everything was gravy until I realized that half my clothes was missing!!! Called them up and they quickly found my second bag promising to delivery the following evening. It was kind of annoying but it all worked out. Plus I got 20% off for mentioning Unilocal.Not bad. I will def use them again.

This service really makes life easy as my iphone does.

I’ve been in New York for about 3 weeks and I have recently discovered that you can get almost ANYTHING delievered to you.
My most recent discovery: Laundry. Yes. They will pick up your laundry, do it all, fold, and bring it back to you. As someone who is trying to make something of herself in New York (meaning…unpaid internship by day and waitressing by night), I have ABSOLUTELY NO TIME to do my own laundry.
I was skeptical of the price of $ 1 a pound at first. Then I tried to do my laundry on my own near my house. It doesn’t cost that much more for me to have everything done for me, so I’ll gladly take the 20 cents extra. Also, I’ve heard that this type of service is almost double in Manhattan.
They give you a laundry bag, which is nice because all I had was a beat up old basket. Also, the guy who has been coming to pick up my laundry is very friendly. They are also very accomdating to my hetic schedule, which is great. They will come as late as 10 PM.
To sum it all up, this is a service that I really need and I really have nothing to complain about.

Very easy to work with– I missed pick-​up and they came right back. They were very polite on pick-​up and drop-​off.
Got all of my laundry back, fresh and folded, and my dry cleaning will be here tomorrow morning.
I primarily used them because I wanted to wash a ton of laundry, and I’m glad I did.
