i was introduced to this place through a friend during Brooklyn Fashion Week. i was working backstage and discovered that the owner was providing all the footwear for the runway shows. i eventually visited his store with my friend. this«shoetique» boasts a fine collection of shoes imported from Italy and other regions. chic, sexy, and updated(but not over-trendy and played out) styles. the collection mainly consists of stilettos, high– and low-heel steppers with pointy toes, strap details and rich embellishments. for Brooklyn… it’s high quality with high prices…(about $ 100-$ 600) this boutique definitely wants to attract a classy crowd. unfortunately, the neighborhood is still growing and the store is very slow with small foot traffic. however, Clinton Hill needs more places like these to «up» the class value in this neighborhood. with its presence, the shoe lounge + boutiques welcomes more haute couture and sophistication to the table in Brooklyn. they recently opened up an offshoot of this place. much spacier and well-designed interior in Harlem. the owner Dane is upfront and honest. he will definitely show you what looks right on you or your girlfriend without a sales pitch.
