We’re not just your barber shop boys club, we’re a girls club too. From lesbian crops to straight-​edge razors cuts, it doesn’t matter who you are because we just cut hair. Magda and Hairrari have formed a team that will deliver you the latest Men’s and Women’s hairstyles and the classics too.

Hairrari is by far one of the best! I called late and being short notice was very surprised they were able to fit me in. Even though I was the last client of the day they took the time and treated me like the first. Nellee gave me a great cut by listening to all of my concerns as well as giving me solutions to get the look I wanted (as I was recovering from a bad cut from a different salon). I will definitely be going back to Hairrari and I will make sure to book an appointment earlier on!

Very nice shop and I loved the feel of it. Customer service was amazing and Russell made me feel right at home as soon as I walked in the door. I didn’t know what exactly I wanted but Russell is a subject matter expert and he made sure I was happy with my hair cut and even gave valuable information on how to keep growing and styling it. I will be returning soon and I highly recommend this place.

I’ve been coming to Hairrari for two years and this place is awesome. Russell is an incredible stylist and I have left after each each visit feeling completely renewed. Very friendly, chill atmosphere, Nina in particular is very sweet and funny! I’m sorry to have to be moving, who’s going to cut my hair now?

I don’t often go for nice haircuts, opting to either grow it out or cut it all off myself in the summer. I went to Hairrari and just happened to be seated right then (they had a cancellation). Nina was absolutely wonderful and I could not ask for more. She was able to create a style that fit me both professionally and physically with the shape of my face. I will definitely be going exclusively to Hairrari from now on and plan to get my cut there before my wedding later this year.

Got a haircut from Greg. He was extremely cool and easy to talk to even though I felt like we were very different people. He asked me what I wanted and I told him to make me look cool, but not too cool for my own good. A lot of times you get cuts that were meant for different people’s heads and personalities. A good stylist will feel you out and give you the appropriate cut. Greg did just that and then he gave me a great look that fit my head, face, and personality.
The space is really well designed and well lit. When I went in there was one other stylist besides Greg and they were both really different, but vibed well together creating a relaxing and interesting atmosphere. It felt like one of those international destinations that fit a lot of different personality types.
The cut was 42 $ and I tipped 20% to make it 50 $. Greg even gave me a quick scruff shape up for free (scruff is what you have when you cant grow a beard). Really affordable considering how well he did compared to other stylists who either charge more for the same craftsmanship or the same amount for an inferior result.

I love this place! I love being able to walk into a salon and get the same price a man would for my very short hair. It’s a relief not to have someone immediately say «oh you look female, here’s a short haircut for $ 60+.» Everyone has always been friendly and interesting to talk to. I’ve gone twice, and had good experiences both times, with different stylists. Still sort of looking for the one that «gets me,» but I can’t say i wouldn’t be happy returning to either of the ones I tried so far. Just remember to bring cash to tip them!

I came here after looking at the reviews. I used their website to schedule an appointment with Russell and I was so happy I did. I was greeted kindly and offered a beer right through the door. Even though I’m a rather introverted person Russell was easy to talk to and made the whole experience worth while. I came in with a ton of hair, and an idea of what I wanted, and with Russell’s experience and perfectionist attitude I left with one of the best haircuts I’ve ever had.

Hairrari is the best! I’ve been getting my hair cut by Russell for the last six months (literally just booked another cut with him for this afternoon) and I’ve been loving every cut more and more. Russell’s not only super friendly and welcoming, but he’s also a damn spectacular barber. He’s not afraid to make a suggestion, but is also totally okay to let you steer– which is everything I want in someone cutting my hair.
Other things that are clear positives: everyone that works there is super friendly, I’m always offered a beer, and when I book an appointment I’m usually in my chair within a 5 minute window.
P. S. Bring some cash to tip with, they more than deserve it.

Nina is FANTASTIC! I’ve been to this barber salon multiple times now and every time I’ve been more than happy with the cut I’ve gotten. I have short hair but haven’t had it at this length for long so I don’t normally know the best cut. I’m grateful to have a stylist like Nina that I can trust will give me a cut I can replicate at home and looks great. Definitely found my go to salon.

Look no further!!! There’s a reason why this salon has the best review anywhere. Make a reservation with Russell and I promise you won’t be disappointed. I haven’t been this satisfied with my haircuts in forever — found this spot about 8 months ago and have been going back to Russell ever since. He is professional, friendly, and most importantly a very skilled hair stylist. Couldn’t be happier.

I love this shop. I’ve gotten my hair done here at Hairarri with Greg and at their sister locations in the East Village by Magda and in Williamsburg at Manetamed. They’re all fabulous stylists and Greg gives good razor designs in hair shaves. The staff is friendly and attentive and prices are reasonable. That’s why I’ve kept coming back for three years! Also, the art and ambience leaves it as a destination salon. Highly recommended.

I’ve had my last few cuts done by Lauren, who works both here and at their sister shop, Manetamed. She does great work, on everything from short to long and in between — I always get lots of compliments from people on the cut afterwards. She’s also very friendly and good at consulting with you to figure out what you want (and in my case, I never really know but she figures it out and gives me a great cut nonetheless). Definitely ask for her.

Second visit and got a different barber. I think his name was Eric… Robert… Or Edward? Let’s just call him Eric (sorry).
I got offered a beer as soon as I sat down. So far so good. The previous appointment ran a little late but no worry, I had beer.
Eric was very friendly, but I’m guessing they all are! He was also very meticulous and made sure I liked how the cut looked. He did, however, throw shade at my sucky Asian straight hair. Not my fault :(Or maybe it was just a tactic barbers use to get me to come back more often.
But I definitely left feeling happier.

Husband and I went to visit Greg and Russell for the first time and were so happy with the results. Russell did my hair, short cut that came out super cute, and he was adorable to work with. Greg did my husband’s hair – my husband gets really nervous getting his hair cut because he’s blind without his glasses, especially with new people, but Greg put him at ease immediately and did an amazing job on his hair and beard, exactly the style that suited him.
One thing to note is that while they take credit cards for payment, they can’t take tips on whatever software they’re using, so bring cash for a tip!

Upon my first visit to Hairrari I came in with an idea of a new hairstyle and after working with Russel, he turned it into a vision. I couldn’t be happier with the introduction of my new style and the positivity and enthusiasm that was projected during my visit.
A clean and fun atmosphere that allowed for an awesome experience. For whatever look you’re going for at an affordable price then this is the place for it. I definitely look forward to my next visit and the future of the development of my hair care!
