Grab bread give to polish boy behind the counter. Pick a meat and some cheese and have a sandwich made. Select a pickle from the bucket and a treat to take to the waterfront. Pure heaven!

Awesome place for cold cuts and kilbosa. We travel from the Bronx just for the Black Forest ham and rye bread. Have been going there for 18 years

I love this place and get here at least twice a month. There’s always something new and interesting to try. I can’t buy pickles this good anywhere else! Selection is always changing, so sometimes I’ll buy something and it will be gone when I go back and look for it again, but thems the breaks. It is very affordable. I worry about how businesses like this will fare when the big new luxury housing goes up…

I’ve been to this store twice. My first experience felt like I was in Eastern Europe in 1975. Not in a bad way, in a real way. Standing on line with three people ahead of me was like being sent in a time machine straight to hell, but some people would pay good money for such an experience. They do have certain ethnic foods like specialty bread and homemade recipe fresh items that makes this store important among the community, but as a quiet fact not as a boastful announcement. You could probably go to one or two more stores like this one somewhere in a three mile radius, but not exactly like it.
