Ordered from here last night on my boyfriend’s recommendation(I don’t even really like Chinese food but I can get behind some good vegetable low mein) and this place was just terrible from start to finish. We ordered on Grubbub and it took them TWOHOURS to deliver, mind you I live 6 blocks away from this place… ridiculous. The girl on the phone was so rude also which didn’t help. When the food finally arrived it was cold and just bad. It was greasy and disgusting, the noodles were mushy, and my spring roll looked and tasted like it had been frozen and then dunked in grease. I will never order from this place again. The only redeeming quality was the free can of soda I got because I spent more than $ 12. This place should be called«Gross Chinese.»

It was 10p-sh so maybe that’s the reason the food’s texture was less then firm. Chow-fun? With Angel hair(thickness)???

Delivery was very quick. Food wasn’t bad. I ordered chicken with mixed veggies. I’d order from them again.

As good as «Chinese food» can get. Super quick delivery. Fair price. The food doesn’t taste stale. Thanks Good Chinese!

Takeout is usually hit or miss, but this is definitely a hit. I really like it. Not too greasy, very good and ALWAYS hot when it gets here. :)

Actually 3 ½ stars. Good portion and taste ok… a little snobish when it comes to Chinese food but best one in this area so far.

I ordered my food at 8:00pm and there was no problem. :) The food came in a hard plastic container and I’m happy since I will for sure be recycling! :) The food is delicious and a great amount of it, I have to save half of it for tomorrow! Yummy! I can’t wait to order food from there again! :)

I’m visiting from Alberta and wanted some delicious east coast Chinese food. This place really hit the spot. Delivery was pretty quick for Saturday night. The food was hot and fresh. Portion sizes are really good, and the price for the sizes is amazing! I’m leaving their take out menu in the air bnb I’m staying in, so other can enjoy

Good Chinese Restaurant offers straightforward, unpretentious American Chinese food that makes for great value when you are in need of non-fussy, inexpensive Chinese delivery and want it to be more than just«edible.» The delivery service was fast– my boyfriend and I received our order in around 15 – 20 minutes. The food was hot and fresh, and they didn’t skimp on the meat. Our General Tso’s was spicy as was requested and there was a healthy helping of whole roasted peanuts in the Kung Pao Chicken. Both dishes were pleasantly not soaking in oil. For each, we ordered the larger of the two sizes and together it came out to just over $ 24. It’s nice that we will be able to make two meals out of it. Again, it’s nothing fancy, but that’s exactly what we were looking for.

Don’t order from this restaurant. I order some fried dumplings, I received them raw and super hard. They tasted old. I called to make a complain and hoping they would replace my order since I spent good money for my meal. I was told by the person who answered the phone to cook them more myself. She told me to put them in the microwave since they were to busy to send a replacement. Don’t waste your time ordering from this place, they don’t care about their customers. I would give them a zero start rating if I could.

Good food considering the genre. I judge a Chinese food spot by their fried rice and crispiness, so 3.5 stars based on that. The food is just ok but the rice is not that strange yellow fried rice like most delivery spots. I had to knock it down to a 3 because they never deliver to my door. I always have to come down to get the food. The only positive thing I can say about that is I get to save money on the tip so rather than drop the rating, I’ll keep it at a 3.

More like bad chinese. Yes, it’s affordable, decent chinese food, but they don’t seem to know what Chow Mein is. Is it just me, or isn’t Chow Mein a fundamental Chinese take-out dish? I’ve ordered the Chow Mein twice from Good Chinese and both times they have instead brought me a steamed vegetable dish with rice. Noodles and rice are completely different bases. When a customer is expecting one, they are disappointed to receive the other. I would honestly give this restaurant more stars as they are honestly a solid take-out Chinese option, I just wish they would get their starches straight. Once, okay, maybe they just accidentally got it worng… twice, get it together Good Chinese.

Ugh! Good Chinese you’re so amazing! The fried rice is awesome. It’s not yellow rice. The egg rolls actually taste like roasted pork. Everything is so delicious BUT they stopped delivering to my place in east wburg. They were on seamless for a month or so in my area. I will lament my loss for all the years…

My boyfriend and I moved to Bushwick last year and tried several Chinese restaurants in the area. Hands down this is the best one in the neighborhood. I worked at a couple Chinese restaurants as a young teenager and I know what quality Chinese food is. This place isn’t the best I’ve ever had or the best in NY but it is the best in Bushwick that delivers to our apartment. Their Crispy Garlic chicken is our favorite. We’ve had their lo mein, fried rice, shrimp and broccoli, wings, general tsos, and many other menu items. So far, we haven’t had any complaints. If you’re looking for good«Americanize Chinese food» and you’re in the neighborhood, check them out.

If there are more perfectly named eating establishments out there, I don’t know of them. Like the name implies, Good Chinese Restaurant is, well, a good Chinese restaurant. It’s not Iron Chef good, though. Innovative? Mind-blowing? A culinary delight? Meh, maybe not. But it is good. The lo mein and the fried rice will hit the spot when you’re in the mood for lo mein and fried rice, though the order will probably fail to win over any converts. Unless, you know, they secretly harbored a hankerin’ for lo mein and fried rice and didn’t even know it. At the end of the day, wouldn’t it be nice if every restaurant was as clearly defined as this? Then again, if it were, there might not be a need for Unilocal, which is clearly unthinkable.

My go to Chinese spot. I’m a HUGE fan of Chinese and this food fulfills most of my needs. I would not say it’s the best Chinese food I had by any means, however you can’t go wrong with this place. Very cheap and quick delivery. I’d stay away from the boneless spareribs as they are very low quality. All standard Chinese dishes are great(chicken and broccoli, sesame chicken, pork fried rice, etc) Good Chinese is definitely good.
