Ordered a simple delivery of spaghetti carbonara and a meatball hero placed at 6:00 on a Sunday. It’s now an hour after placing my order still no delivery. Poor delivery service. I had just called and was told my order is about to leave the restaurant now, very disappointed.

This place is ok but subpar for the neighborhood. Its nice enough and the service is good and they offer your basic italian fare. Last time I was here we had fried calamari(pretty standard) and I had the rice ball special, which while it is listed as an appetizer totally cuts it as a meal if you don’t have a large appetite. Unfortunatley I have had better rice ball specials at some Brooklyn Pizzerias.

When they first opened I noticed the dishes were great and the pizza was OK, since then, they have stepped up their game. The pizza and calzone I had last night were amazing. The portions and prices were quite good for the neighborhood and I have no qualms f giving this place my full support and recommendation.

Ordered delivery and had their dinner special that included penne alla vodka, 10 garlic breadsticks, salad, and a 2 liter soda. Placed the order on and shortly after we placed the order we received a call from the restaurant because online it said half tray of penne pomodoro and half tray of penne alla vodka. So i had to make a choice a chose the penne alla vodka. When the food came the portion was huge. Probably enough to feed 5 or 6 people. The pasta was flavorful and better than i expected. The breadsticks were a little on the hard side and light on garlic taste. Salad looked fresh but the vinaigrette that it came with was a little on the sour side. Overall, the pasta was good and huge portion. The dinner special was definitely a good deal. Just wished that they described it correctly online that you had to choose one of the pasta.

food is average, wait staff seem to not really care much about being hospitable. not sure if I would eat here again. had the seafood pasta special and got a kids pizza. it was average… asked for coffee with cream, and got coffee with whipped cream on top and charged me $ 1.00 for whipped cream?! ok…

I like Giacomos. I’ve been here a couple of times. I’ve had the hot antipasto, which was delicious. I’ve had two different types of pastas as well and I enjoyed them both. The service is good and they have a large menu with many choices. I haven’t tried the pizza, but I’m sure it’s good. If you’re looking for good, traditional Italian food, Giacomos is a good choice.

Food: 3.5÷5.0 Service: 3.0÷5.0 Value: 3.0÷5.0 Décor: 3.0÷5.0 Overall: 3.0÷5.0 Close second best pizza in Bay Ridge at great value for the quality. Have not tried much of the rest of the menu so will reserve judgment there.

The pizza is good, but not good enough to make up for the crap customer service. And when the pizza arrives cold, well, ugh. The delivery driver tries to pass the pizza over my 6′ fence each time, which is just so so lazy. Calls to the restaurant about cold food and incomplete orders are met with a hearty«go f*ck yourself» from management. Avoid.

I came here on Tuesday evening with my friend. I wanted to try pizza, so we choose this place. We ordered caesar salad for my friend, calamari in marinara sauce and pizza with vodka sauce for share. Pizza was delicious, but calamari wasn’t tasty, so I thought I’d be better ordered regular fried calamari. Our server was attentive. I liked this place and I would definitely return there to have a pizza.

I came here again on a Friday evening with my mom. She wanted to try it and I was hesitant since my first time coming and not liking the pizza. We got to the restaurant around 7pm and it was busy, they wanted to sit us in the back room, but we wanted to wait for a table in the front, which wasn’t a long wait. Our server came right over and we both ordered a glass of wine. We ordered an artichoke as an appetizer and the lentil soup. The soup was the best lentil soup I ever had, it was so flavorful and a big portion. As entrees my mom got the chicken parm and I got a grilled chicken panini. The only thing I was not happy about was the panini bread tasted kinda burnt, I would of preferred it crunchy rather than tasting burnt. Our server was also so sweet and very attentive. I would definitely return after my second experience.

Not sure what all the hype is about. I ordered from here will visiting my parents house a month ago for dinner. The pizza was very average and it was at best lukewarm. I hate cold pizza especially brick oven cold pizza. YUCK. I had hear such positive things about this establishment I was really disappointed. For the price, and quality I would have ordered from another brick oven restaurant. I won’t be ordering again needless to say. Maybe dine in is better-but maybe not. I won’t be finding out next time I’m in Bayridge.

Just an authentic Italian ‘trattoria” no frills direct at the content. I was there with my family yesterday. Huge plates(is a trattoria), family taste, nice staff. I’m Italian and a little demanding, but I was satisfied completely. Ben fatto Giacomo! I really recommend the«calzone with Nutella» Is amazing but please share it!

Always great service and delicious food. If what you want isn’t on the menu, ask! We love the shrimp francese and fra diavolo, the mini calzone appetizers, all of the salads, and my sis loved her pizza. Enjoy and have some sangria!

It is so unfortunate when you’re really looking forward to a meal, and it simply doesn’t live up to expectations. Giacomo’s customer service is not a priority to them, ATALL. Their ‘tude is very rough, and they can’t get an order right for shit. The person who answered the phone was male, and he was clearly distracted by something else. Needed me to repeat everything at least 5x. Now, I’m fine with repeating myself, but he took major attitude with me. When my guests arrived to pick up the order, they left an item out. Very frustrating experience.

Stumbled upon this restaurant looking for delicious Italian food in Bay Ridge and OMG. My Mom is the«artichoke Queen» and she said the one we had here, baked with bread crumbs with garlic on top, is tied in quality with her other favorite one in Aventura, Fl. lol The garlic bread has loads of garlic and cheese and the Sunday sauce special, reasonably priced, has short ribs, bracciola, meat balls and sausage — wow! Live in Queens but I look forward to taking the trip to eat here, again. The service is as good as everyone says, too. Thanks Francesco with the great hair and Enzo with the great heart.

This place was amazing. My boyfriend suggested coming here last minute for dinner, and I’m so glad he did. My first impression was that it was fancy and possibly overpriced. We were dressed for the gym so I felt a little out of place, but people were in tee shirts and jeans and others were a bit more dressed up. The menu is extremely reasonable, this place is cheaper than my favorite park slope restaurant so that was a plus. We ordered the garlic bread sticks which were so good and the sauce is amazing. The sauce won me over, because sauce is a key with Italian food. I had the baked ziti as my entrée and it’s such a huge portion and I’m embarrassed to say I ate the whole thing because it was that good. An added touch is they serve your drinks in mason jars which is so cute. Highly Recommended and will definitely be coming back.

Attended a family party yesterday. The food was very good and the service was excellent. The portions were huge. I had the eggplant parmigiana, the eggplant was tender and crisp, plenty of cheese with a spicy sauce. Yum! Wie’ll be returning.

I spend a bit of time down in Bay Ridge and I came here with a coworker last week. Overall, the food was good. Pizza was crisp and fresh. Not too much sauce, but just the right amount. We had the bruschetta pizza. We also had a capese salad which was good, but it’s hard to do a bad capresee salad! The service was friendly and pretty fast. Very casual atmosphere and«neighborhood-y». Overall, I recommend this place when you’re in the neighborhood.
