I order online all the time and always get the salmon lover. There are times everything tastes fresh and there are times I find the sushi rice to be harder than I like it to be, but over all average. Delivery is quick, usually somewhere between 25 to 40 minutes, latest I’ve ever ordered was 11:20PM and that time they came in 20 minutes(probably because I was the only one that ordered around that time).

I like the food there, and delivery works mostly good, nice prices. But two times I had bad food: once — scallope sashimi was addled and other time — tuna tataki was strange, maybe old tuna, very tough. its because i give only 4 stars.

I’m very disappointed today because they charged me more than the price that they stated on the menu… Didn’t notice until home… Be careful what you’re paying for people…

I guess its ok. Not bad but i think the size of sushi is small for my taste. Its convenient, but i dont think its amazing. I did also get a fish entrée. The was pretty good with decent size fish.

Dine in and had sushi to go from time to time at Fugu. The prices are definitely very cheap and the foods are yummy. However, I feel as if the rolls are small with not enough ingredients. Compare to other stores, I believe their rolls are a bit bigger. However their food are still pretty good and the atmosphere inside is usually very peaceful and quiet.

Gave this a try because longvousjoy was full. Was pretty empty on a weekday and was seated promptly in the booth. Unlike a lot of what the other Unilocalers mentioned, we received our food rather quickly and our waiter was pretty nice. I got the salmon lover, the fish was really fresh and delicious. No fishy taste, and the pieces of fish was generous. Our tea was constantly filled, which was a great plus. Prices are decent for the quality.

Was in the area and craving for sushi… went in and know right away this non-Japanese own restaurant will be average. Their old carpet, yes! old carpet and century old decors, the sushi bar is right where you enter the door, very odd. They are mostly busy with take out/delivery orders. Server/boss? was half sitting/leaning on an empty table playing on his cell phone right across from our table. Food was very average, all types Chinese/Japanese/English songs being played. I did feel well after food and we qucily finish our dinner and left. I can tell they get more bussiness from take out rather than dine-ins, thus, no work will be done within or improvements on any area for the business. I should’ve read some comments from Unilocal before coming, they were pretty helpful, only if I’ve read it prior entering to this place…

Go there every year to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Pretty good food and service. Price is pretty reasonable.

This is a very good sushi joint with fresh fish and good size plates. Prices are very reasonable and they give a heaping serving of wasabi. Didn’t even need to ask for extra! Slices of the sashimi are thick, but I can deal with it. Not too crowded, but also not empty. Their teriyaki smelled great, so I may try that next time I’m in the area. They have fried ice cream, of the tempura kind. Only complaint is they have some pop playlist consisting of Justin Beiber, Miley Cyrus, etc. on repeat. So if you’re there longer than 30 minutes, you might get to hear the same song twice which is just meh.

Your typical sushi place with nothing that really sets them apart from other sushi places. Used to come here all the time back in high school and came back today. Their sushi is still the same. Good but not memorable. I have been really into bento boxes lately but it bother me whenever I order the beef teriyaki bento box and ask for it to be well done, it always come out raw. There is a reason I ask for it to be well done, I just wish they can comply with my needs. Service in general is pretty good. They will take your order, serve you, and you leave you alone for the rest of the meal until you ask for the bill. I like that they leave you alone unless you ask for something. Would I come back? Yes.

Best place around Bensonhurst for sushi. Originally I stopped coming because the freshness of the sushi went downhill. But then ever since I came back this year their food tastes even better than before and the quality has been consistently fresh. Hope they continue their good work. If you are looking for other sushi places in the area, I recommend Chikurin on 86th street.

AMAZINGPLACE! I heard the whole worm story and I spoke to the woman who spread the rumor. She admitted that she was wrong. She took the post of her facebook and wrote to the owner of Fugu sushi! I ate at this place they are amazing. Their fish is fresh! Grow up people with your negativity! It was eel skin not a worm!

Worms. Didnt know that was a new delicacy to add in sushi. I understand they serve raw fish, but raw bugs are a whole new level of integrity.

The food is delicious, and it deserves 5 stars. But, the service is awful and getting worse. It took 25 minutes for the food to arrive, and another 15 for the check and getting the attention of the waitress. They really need to up their staff, because they will lose valuable customers.

Love this place! Been coming here for a while and it’s never a disappointment. Affordable, clean, quiet, and most importantly fresh and delicious. Their rolls vary from $ 2.75−4, special rolls are around $ 6. Absolutely amazing rolls. Came here on a date one night and had 3 rolls plus a special roll, and the waitress said the second special roll would be 50% off. That being said, we ordered 2 special rolls but she forgot to bring out one of them. Still not sure if we ever payed for the second roll but whatever. Our waitress seemed to be in a «meh» mood. The food, however, was great as always, we were not rushed, and the overall atmosphere was nice and romantic. Always a good experience here except for this time when the waitress forgot the second roll. I’ll definitely be back soon & recommend everyone to pop in!

I came back again and was pleasantly surprised at the consistency of their food. The tempura was delicious as usual. However, the service of one of the waitresses was not so great, hence the 2 stars. She was pretty rude, slamming dishes onto the table without a word. Seemed like she didn’t want to be there. We were the only table seated, but the entire restaurant was filled with the loud chatter of her and the sushi chefs. The hostess was however very friendly and kind. To sum things up, the food was good and the service not so great.

I actually like this place. Only serves sushi, some yakisoba and bento box meals. I ordered a chirashi bowl(13.95) and my friend ordered the sushi deluxe(12.95)(essentially we both ordered sashimi…) Prices for sushi are cheap, and I’ll definitely consider delivery since I live so close. Sashimi tastes alright, I can’t defend that it’s fresh, but some of the flavor is still intact. Salmon is strong, tuna is slick, and the octopus is nice and crunchy. Definitely will try their other sushis.
