Pretty solid cheap Chinese food. Not breath-taking, and I was disappointed with the chicken soup. Overall though, it’s a nice place to have within walking distance. Always satisfied with the beef broccoli and egg rolls.

A classic new york Chinese restaurant. If you are looking for some cheap, tasty, fast Chinese than this is a cool spot I guess. Will someone please explain how the thousands of small spots like this, that can be found all over nyc all have the same menu and somehow make the food taste the same?! Grabbed the half chicken and pork fried rice wich was filling and like six bucks. Can’t go wrong. Or could you?

I’m coming to seriously esteem this place for Chinese take-out on the ‘north’ side of the Ridge closer to the Sunset Park border. Having sampled from most of its competitors and even having been a ‘regular’ elsewhere, this is now my ‘first choice’. Its on par with the area’s best takeout(such as ‘Chopstix’ at the south end of the Ridge) and equally as inexpensive. They really do have the best prices. Lunch special from 11−330PM every day means a full meal for $ 5 and change. And as the other review said, the entrees here are not ‘dunked’ in a thick, gloppy sauce. Its impressive! Delicate frying is what they do at Fu Lai. Light batter. The portion sizes are also LARGE and the menus is broad. Pick this place for your takeout, folks. Delivery is lightning fast – 12−15 minutes any time you order. I will only mention one drawback I can think of – there’s a very clumsy front stoop at the entry to their establishment. Its not standard height; more like an afterthought or mistake by the mason. You can turn an ankle on it, beware!

Everyone has their own go to take out around their way when in need of a quick bite. I’ve ordered from quite a few take out establishments around the way and the food quality has always been not the best but it doesn’t leave you disappointed since your expectations weren’t too high to begin with when ordering from a take out! This place although located a bit further from me has taking the take out quality up a level. They offer white fried rice with roast pork when requested and they oblige to using less sauce when asked(think General Tso’s or Chicken and Broccoli not drowned in heavy sauce upon arrival). The delivery guy is quite friendly and the food arrives within 15 minutes of ordering.
