Beautifully cooked fish tacos. Love this place I’ve grew up in Brazil and their Black beans reminds me of my grandma’s dishes

I order food from here often, it’s very good. Tonight I placed an order online, and there were some complications. Including, but not limited to, a delay in delivery. They called me, clued me in, and went out of their way to give me extras as an apology. I didn’t feel the extras were necessary, but, it was greatly appreciated and prompted me to write this review. I typically order pick up, and have had nothing but pleasant experiences with their staff. Tonight’s experience is just further proof these people care about their business. And the food. It’s very good.

Usually this place is great and has really fast delivery, but tonight it took 90 minutes to get our food, it was cold upon delivery, and we only live a few blocks away. I hope this is a one time thing, because I’ll be really disappointed if we have to stop ordering from here.

Portobello burrito tasted like boiled peas and lacked any kind of fat — no cheese or avocado. I found a chunk of beef in my vegetarian tortilla soup.

Sooooo goooood! Great taco selection and every one is as equally delicious as the next! Friendly counter girls. They make tortillas fresh and by hand, the way God intended! It makes the biggest difference. Super affordable. 2 tacos are filling. 3 tacos will bust your pant buttons and have you waddling out. Fat Daddy, indeed.

I lived in southern Cali for college and always missed a good simple fish taco. After ordering from here about a dozen times and trying everything on the menu, this is my hands down favorite place for fish taco and guac. The rest of the dishes are solid and OK, but personally, the fish tacos here ridiculous delish and addictive!!! I think about it at work and crave it on the way home. Highly recommend this place for a quick, fresh, delicious fish taco fix!

Disappointed in this south slope restaurant that was recommended by a friend who lives in the neighborhood. Ordered a fish burrito(which cost $ 10) and was surprised by the very skimpy piece of fish inside which lacked flavor. The other ingredients they included(lettuce, tomato, cheese) didn’t add much to the experience. To top things off when i asked for a cup of water I was told they didn’t have any cups. I mean, c’mon if you’re going to charge $ 10 for a burrito at a Brooklyn taco stand please consider including chips and salsa and having come cups on hand for your customers. This place just makes me miss San Francisco.

I glanced in the window on my way to another destination when a man exited Fatty Daddy and made it a point to stop and come back just to let us know that he is infatuated with this place. He told us everything was good on the menu and that he is compelled to come here regularly to get his fix. I wasn’t hungry at that point, but always down to try a new place, I made a mental note. Thank you infatuated man! This place has super friendly service and the tacos, quesadilla and enchilada soup that we tried upon our return were excellent. The quesadilla was large and stuffed full of delicious cheese and chicken(in my case). The steak from the tacos was also deliciously spiced and grilled. BONUS: Although they are a small place with just a couple tables, they are a BYOB establishment and there is a great spot right next door!

I think I’m in love… With the fatty daddy Mexican chopped salad. I’ve been looking for a good Mexican/taco salad for a while now & this place hits the spot. Portion size is very large. Good quality crispy romaine lettuce topped with cojita cheese. They add some tomatoes/onion but def not enough for my taste. My fav part is the jicama. It’s sweet & crunchy, perfect addition to a Mexican salad. I top it off with the marinated grilled portobello mushrooms($ 3), which comes as a very generous portion. The salad comes with dressing, but as we all know to have a true taco salad you need guac, salsa & sour cream. Adding on the portobello & those 3 condiments brings the salad price to over $ 15 which I think is loco, hence the minus a star. Unfortunately, I’m addicted. Boyfriend got the steak quesadilla. It was deeelish. Steak was juicy & very well marinated buuut the whole thing was SO greasy. His hands were literally slathered in oil afterwards #gross

By far the best tacos in park slope! Small spot with big taste! The staff is so awesome and friendly and the cooks are always on point with their food. My favorite tacos are the steak. Try the Guac it’s delicious

I’d say it was a pretty good quesadilla — a tad on a salty side but generous portion(with a bottle of water was 9 and change). Not the friendliest of atmospheres but if you choose the dine in(it’s a tiny place), they sort of warm up to you and even smile. I’d try their tacos the next time I’m in need of quick lunch and happen to be in the area.

BEST. BURRITO. IN. PARK. SLOPE. Greenwood Heights for its predominantly Hispanic residents can be a bit of a no-mans-land for decent burritos. Is it the inauthenticity of the dish? Maybe — that’s what I’m sticking with. Tacos — we got those. In spades, and for my money they’re some of the best in the city. But burrito wise I’ve always felt unfulfilled.(But never still hungry) Last night the dog needed food.(He gets hangry and the neighbors have chickens) and I was in the neighborhood so I decided to try this place out. My burrito was amazing. Guac was perfect. Rice was perfect. Seasoning was goddamn perfect. Size was on the ‘bovine leg’ scale so if you’re not hungry fry that shit up with some eggs tomorrow.(Trust me. Just, trust me.) Rant over — eat this.

It can be hard to find a quick, and affordable place to eat in the confines of Park Slope. Sure, there’s pizza nearly everywhere, but for something else try Fatty Daddy. The fish torta was huge, delicious, and affordable. Get a side salad(which I don’t think is on the menu) for $ 2 more. Their burritos(especially their stewed chicken) are hearty and don’t make you fall into a food coma like Chipotle would. Fast, good, unpretentious — my go-to spot for cheap eats.

Ordered: Steak taco and Mushroom taco Pros– The tacos were made fresh to order and I liked the fact that they kept the ingredients simple. Cons– The seating was very limited and packed together, making it an uncomfortable place to dine-in. Also, the taco shells were mediocre.

Came here for a late lunch on a weekday when I was starving! Ordered a steak quesadilla. Only took about 5 minutes for them to make, and packaged it up with hot sauce to go. Be sure to grab a fork and knife if you get it to go. It’s hard to eat with just your hands. Took my lovely meal across the stead to Owl Farm and dug in! SOGOOD! Huge portion, very filling, very greasy, exactly what I was craving – plus pair it with a beer and it was perfection. I do wish there were some veggies to even it out, but over all delicious! This is some prime drunk food.

I like tacos. I like burritos. But at Fatty Daddy, I’m all about getting a dang quesadilla. It’s the fatty, cheesy, unhealthily loaded and greasy gutbomb you want it to be, and it’s entirely too convenient to grab one and eat it at The Owl Farm across the street. Plus, they’ll put your sour cream and guac inside the quesadilla itself, which is really just a more efficient way to get all this fat into daddy’s mouth.

Good tacos, in a convenient location. I ordered two fish tacos, and thought they were pretty good. Not fishy at all! I wish the tacos had more of a cilantro kick. The guacamole was tasty(great options for different sizes). Staff was hospitable, and the atmosphere isn’t awkward for such a small space. I felt like I was in a beach town waiting for a nice snack after a long day in the water. Not a bad feeling.

This small shops serves up some pretty delicious tacos with solid variation. They offer chicken, steak, fish, spicy chicken, chorizo, portabello mushroom, steak, hot pepper, and pork. So many options. I enjoyed the mushroom and steak taco, yet I wouldn’t hesitate from trying any of the other options. The tacos come with ample cilantro, their salsa verde, radish slices, and lime wedges on corn tortillas. I wish the tortillas were a bit crisper but that is a personal preference. You get two tacos and a drink for about $ 8.25. Fatty Daddy is pretty fast; you should be in and out in a few minutes.

Fatty Daddy NY Brooklyn South Slope 10pm Thursday 12th March 2015 Five Stars I have lived in California for entirety of my life before New York so Mexican food does not really exist here to me. However, Fatty Daddy is the best place that I have tried thus far. The tacos were great I had the chorizo since they ran out of Al Pastor. The double corn tortillas were filled with an abundance of chorizo, lettuce, cilantro, and topped with guacamole and radishes. The grilled chicken burrito was less good and not very Mexican. The large flour tortilla encapsulated white rice, black beans, lettuce, cheese and a minimal amount of chicken.
