This is a great place to get your glasses, all sales representative are friendly, specially Mr, Patrick. He clearly explained all options and what’s good for me.

Their prices deserve 4 stars, but their service deserves a 5. The staff are friendly and professionally dressed. I’ve come here for my glasses and when I needed contacts. I’ve never had any complications from them. They were very patient with me when I was learning to put the contacts on. They have a wide selection of brands, but again, very pricey. The optician I had was very informative and never hesitated to address any of my concerns. If you’re looking for affordable glasses, there are others place around where you can find it. Service wise, this place is the best I’ve had in the area.

Eye Solutions at this location is my go-​to whenever I need a new pair of glasses or contacts fitting/​ordering or just a little free touch-​up.
It was recommended by a relative of mine but I can see the appeals. First of all, this place looks clean and staff are dressed and conduct very friendly and professionally. They all seem to know the procedures well and are able to organize and address in-​and-​out customers in an orderly and timely manner. They give off the impression I can be well taken care of. Second, the facility looks fairly new and clean. There is a little contacts fitting room on the 2^nd floor where you can sit, wash your hands, and put on your contacts. It is a perfect judgement-​free room if you are putting on contacts for the first time (God, this brings back some embarrassing memory). Third, prices are reasonable. Not the cheapest around town, but not much different than its competitors. They have a la carte services, such as eye exam, glasses/​contacts ordering, but usually I am recommended of their packages, which include both examination and contacts. And the doctor is good at getting my prescription right.
So overall, my experiences have been satisfactory. Nothing serious has happened and as long as it stays like this, I can see myself keep going back.

I paid $ 90 to turn my $ 10 street-​fair sunglasses into prescription sunglasses. At first, the optician tried to convince me to buy a pair of higher-​quality frames there and warned me that my cheap pair might get damaged while switching the lenses. I stood my ground and said I needed everything done as inexpensively as possible. A few days later, I picked up my perfect, undamaged prescription sunglasses. I’m really glad that they were able to make it work. I’ve been wearing these sunglasses almost every day for months now and I think they are the best purchase I’ve ever made. Sun protection and clear vision, for only a hundred bucks? A 5-​star combination!

Although they’re the biggest store on 8^th avenue, and have been here for quite some time now, it is definitely not my go-​to place to get any sort of glasses. They are way overpriced, just by walking down a block or two to any other glasses store, you’ll quickly notice that the prices are really jacked up.

I’ve been getting glasses here for as long as I could remember, they’re so nice and the employees seem to move what they do. It’s great to see a selection if glasses that can fit any budget in this place. I bought some really nice Cartier, Prada, Ray-​Ban and some others for family members and they are always nice when I come in. They even helped me polish my glasses and adjust them for me 2 years after I bought my frames, can you say great customer service?!? As long as they keep accepting my insurance I’ll be back here for life!

My 6 month supply of contacts grew from $ 135 to $ 160. This has become quite expensive. And when I look online it’s a bit more than $ 100. Plus, they did not give me a free contact solution kit this time. I don’t think I will be coming back. Paying more and getting less doesn’t make me a happy shopper.

Professional staff that helps and follows up with calls and voice messages.
They have every brand– luxury and cheaper ones with competitive prices.

I think the customer service here is superb although the glasses here are more pricy than most glasses store. If you come here on weekends it is super crowded. I came here for adjustment for the new glasses that I brought here and another pair from another store and the SA fixed them both for free. Everyone here speaks English and are really nice.

Everything is overpriced here, glasses, services anything you can name they’ll overcharge you. i bought a pair of shades here and came back two months later requesting them to re adjust it. They wanted to charge me $ 30 to adjust it. It’s just not reasonable since I purchased my shades from them.

The service is really bad! When I was buying new glasses, they treated me very well. But when I asked them to help clean my old glasses, they give me all kinds of ridiculous excuses… They just don’t want to provide free services at all!!!
Besides, they would keep selling you the most expensive things! If you asked them to bring some cheaper ones, they would change the attitude immediately.
I seldom give bad comments, but this time it is really bad!!!

I really love their customer service. Pricing — eh, not so much.
They sell mainly brand name glasses and offer very little to none of the cheaper ones. Not that I mind of course — I’m a teen and would prefer trendier glasses, but if you’re looking for cheapo spares in case yours breaks from a ball game, look elsewhere. So far, I’ve gotten one pair of glasses and a one-​year subscription of Acuvue Oaysis contact lens from them. And I must say — I’m IMPRESSED.
Eye-​check appointment: Great doctor, all of them speak English well compared to several of the other doctors in the glasses clinics. They’re patient, but its only one office. The doctors really go into detailed explanation with you if you ask. I asked them for contact solution brands once and they recommended me a brand they carried and even other suitable brands. Excellent service. Expect lines on weekends unless you’ve arranged an appointment.
Glasses: Takes about 3 days on average for assembly. Assessment is pretty quick. I asked them for my eye prescription once (to purchase a spare set from
) and they gave it to me without much problems. I tried it with other stores in the past and I’ve had unpleasant experiences (had to bring legal matters to the issue with a ton of arguing).
Contacts: Here’s where they really shone for me. I’m not sure who the young saleslady was at the time, but I spent a whole 3 hours at the store learning how to put on contacts and she taught/​corrected me. Really, I felt humbled by such service because they gain money from commission and they can easily pick up another customer while I was trying to put them on. But no, she insisted to stay by my side to teach me how to put them on. I don’t think that lady works there anymore, but that type of service is impressive. If you’re going for contacts, they also offer a free one-​week trial for first time customers (or at least they used to). You should inquire them about that if interested.
Advice: Don’t be afraid to ask for promotions. The salespeople are usually young and they usually understand that everyone is budget-​strapped nowadays.

My brother was born premature and his eyes didn’t develop maturely so he is required to wear glasses or else he’d be über blind. He’s been getting glasses here ever since I can remember. I can’t figure out if the people here are nice because they’re getting a heck lot of money from my brother charging for his glasses or they’re just mediocre with being nice. They appear nice but I always feel like they’re not genuine with their feelings… I’ll push that thought aside and will say that they are very helpful with helping you choose glasses. I’ve purchased a pair of glasses from them a couple of years back and they’ve held up quite well. They have two floors so you’re bound to find something you like. The frames are retail price but you can possibly haggle them down to 20 bucks cheaper. I think they’re okay. They haven’t «wowed» me yet. Customer service is key when you’re trying to sell glasses, naawhh mean?
One acknowledgement I’d like to point out is that they will adjust your glasses for you if they become a bit crooked or whatever free of charge. That’s a huge bonus since most stores will charge you $ 5.

Got my glasses here a few weeks ago.
The location is very convenient since it is right at the corner and two bus lines is right outside and the N train is a block away.
Everything is neat and orderly. Once you step in, someone would assist you right away. Even if there aren’t enough staff on the spot, one of them would show you that they acknowledge you and get someone that is at the back, either working at the back or on break, I am not to sure, but someone would come out to help you.
It is my 2^nd time getting my glasses here, usually I just changed the degree and update the lens but my first pair of frame which I got here were getting scratch up. It is great how they keep your record and also offer eye examination at he 2^nd floor if you need it.
Basically, a lot of my family and friends get their glasses here because they have really great services. You can simply go in and ask them to help adjust your glasses so it hang more comfortably on your face and it is free of charge.
It is better to come here during the weekday in the middle of the day because it gets so busy at night time and during the weekends.
It is a very nice and friendly environment that welcomes people.

They do good work. Nice and friendly. Lots of nice frames. Just got a pair of glasses from them with high index lenses. They did a good job nice and thin.

Super crowded on weekends and some weeknights as well. Nice selection of lenses and contact lens brands. But there’s only one exam room upstairs, which is definitely the bottleneck.

I was supposed to get a eye examination today didn’t happened. Called the night before to ask if they took my plan and someone said yes. Next day was my eye appt they couldn’t find my chart and then they couldn’t located my plan in their computer.
I just wanted a eye examination not to be refitted for contact lenses examination. The lady told me that I might as well pay out of pocket expenses since my they didn’t take the insurance. Im like I wasted my time to come to this place and now their finding all these problems. Went home to check it out under my plan and they do take the plan and i see their names right there listed.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone ask twice if they take your insurance before going to save you time.

Glasses nice, service eh…

I’ve purchased a few pair of glasses and contacts at Eye Solutions. The service here is good since they are friendly and willing to help you. The employees there don’t pressure you into buying the products and would recommend you different types of frames that you would like. Overall, the service and the price is good and I would definitely go back.
