History

Established in 2009.

Working for years designing and making jewelry, Mollie Dash was asked (by her boyfriend) to curate a selection of goods. Everbrite Mercantile Company, named in honor of her father’s Philadelphia printing company in the late 20th century, was launched as a web store in 2009 and debuted at the Design*Sponge curated section of the Brooklyn Flea that same year. In 2010 the store in Red Hook Brooklyn was opened. Summer 2011 brings a new twist to this ongoing retail experiment /art project as a more permanent gallery area is folded into the space and a host of art installations and performances are lined up for the season. There is always something interesting happening.
