I have been buying from this hair company for years, however recently I decieded to give their natural hair a try and let’s just say it was pure garbage. The hair feels rough and trashy and not worth the price. I spent 450 $ on 3 bundles of natural curly hair and it has been 2 months and due to the tangling it appears that I now have less 2 bundles in. So I called and told them about their fake human hair. The owner phillip claims since its 2 months there’s nothing he can do, I’m appalled as I could have invested that money elsewhere and the owner didn’t even attempt to feel the damaged hair that they sold me, he just said come and buy more hair — it feels as though I’m running my fingers through elastic STAY AWAY !!! Warning !!!

Boy oh boy, where do I start? I was referred to this company as a place to go if in need of quality hair. As I walked in I was greeted with a less than lackluster hello from the at the front desk. Fast forward to the hair and it quality. Shame shame shame on you for selling such junk to member of your community; and you wonder why sometimes it’s best to take your money elsewhere. The hair was dry and brittle once I took it home and unraveled it. I even noticed all the different lengths on the weft. The ends, forget it. Those things are dryer than day old toast. However, when I was in the store, the lady kept saying don’t undo the curls if you’re not gonna buy it and I thought that was odd; who buys hair without thoroughly running their fingers through it? Anyway, I literally just bought this hair today and I’m not one to review anything on Unilocal,but this one I couldn’t hold. I called the store to tell them about how unsatisfactory the quality of the hair is and the same lady was trying to convince me that nothing was wrong. I couldn’t take it so mid sentence, I hung up on her. Erena Hair Center you might as well get your hair from Ali Express because you’re selling pure garbage!!!

Please DO NOT BUY THIS HAIR!!! I read the reviews and purchased the hair from online. As soon as it came in the mail, I pulled it out of the black ERENA and just from the first glance I KNEW it was pure crap! The hair was so dry and shed like a dog. I had my stylist install it and she was combing the hair and it was tangling and shedding so bad. She told me my boyfriend would hate the weave because the hair would be all over my house and she was right. $ 300 for 8 oz DOWN THE DRAIN and I am a single mother who saved for this crappy hair. I hate this company they are crooks. I would have been better off with beauty supply hair DO NOT BUY!

This is my third purchase from the company. The first 2 was online but then they had a special at the new location and I decided to go to the grand opening. This was a great experience to touch and feel all the textures. I also got to meet the owner himself who seems very dedicated. It was nice to be able to put a face to the company and I admired how they constantly add new items.

Where do I even begin? I have been a customer with Erena hair since 2008 and I love love the hair. I have been using Erena hair since high school for braiding and weaving I try the Brazilian wavy, natural curls, water curls, wet and wave, Mongolian curly hair and I love them. The hair is so beautiful and always receive compliment from people about the hair… The hair can be use again for many years not just a year depending on how you care for the hair. Unlike other Brazilian hair it doesn’t require much attention just a good wash every now and then and deep conditioning. I use inexpensive shampoo and condition like vo5 and suave it work really well on the hair then expensive products. I like the curly hair because I just wet and go and still get a beautiful look. Each hair Erena offer can be straighten and back to curly. Shedding is lite nothing drastic and the hair never lose its volume or bounce. The price of the hair is a little costly but worth every penny because I never throw my hair away. The owner Phillip baker is a darling he know how to treat his customer and keep them coming. He had never disappointed me about the look I am want to achieve. I usually buy 10 or more ounces because I love extra fullness.

I bought my hair online all the time and I never complain before… last time I went to the location to do it… I had the hair I want but the texture change drastically even my finger never went through the hair. .few days ago I went to buy a new one and I let them know what was bad with my hair and definitely they tried and were agreed with me… Franco and the receptionist helped me and deal with the new step… let see what happens when set up my hair again… I will upgrade my review when my happy come to me.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting Brooklyn Finest at Erena… me and my niece hair was done by Camille who came highly recommend and delivered without intention… this is one of my best weaves to date !!! She has such care and grace and crazy techniques… although I have been coming to buy hair from Erena for awhile… I wish I had been coming to get my hair done by Camille… well any woo she got 2 new clients for life… I LOVE LOVE MY HAIR… I got Brazilian hair two 18 in and one 16 in plus a closure installed… Please don’t waste any more of your time with those lame hair stylist and get DOWN to Eranas and get that doo did !#!!!

I’m going to begin by saying that I have been a very loyal customer from before this hair salon gained it’s popularity. I’ve referred everyone to this place for hair. This is the problem now. The price of the hair has gone up dramatically and the quality of the hair is now nothing better than shit. I just bought 4 ounces of the permed straight hair for 138 $ and it’s Not even enough for tracks. The length is inconsistent, the hair tangles and sheds and I can’t run my fingers through it. When I went to pick the hair up the lady said it will get better as I curl it. At this point I’m just disappointed because I could have saved 100 $ and bought beauty supply pack hair. I will no longer recommend this shop nor will I return as it is over priced and provides poor service and quality.

Too tight braiding, don’t know how to install a full frontal, ratchet stylist did my hair, way overpriced, and they don’t listen to what you want. These folks do what they want to your hair. I had an event to go to the next day so really this was my last option, but never ever again! I bought a bundle from here to add to my Kendra’s boutique hair and their hair is decent. But overall, service was a huge no no by the stylist, Keri.

Over the years the quality of the hair has changed, and not for the better, it worse and not to mention the customer service sucks now as well. Unfortunately, I now have to take my business somewhere else.

Recently, I purchased Brazilian wavy hair from here and was quite impressed. I love the texture and the quality of the hair. The hair is already installed and I can’t wait to color it and wash it.
As for the customer service, it was non existent. The lady in the front desk was not helpful at all. She was on her cell phone the entire time. The 4 star rating is for the hair only. If it was based on service, it would be only 1 star.

I honestly feel like I found the best kept secret !!! I could buy hair and keep it for months and it still stays amazing a reusable! For the price it’s soo worth it! And honestly everywhere is way more expensive for Foolishness. I usually don’t leave reviews but this company has treated me so well !!!

the hair quality is nice the customer service sucks especially the people who work there i went to get hair for braiding the lady said about 4 to 5 ounces i bought 5 ounces to be covered but then i had to come bck the same day for one more ounce because it wasnt enough, so when i went bck one of the stylist working there was a complete mess and was upset she had to sell me one more ounce Lynn or Lynet whatever her stupid name is she a real biotch.

Did a great job of custom blending for my light and multicolored hair. Very friendly. Thought I was getting good hair but when I put the wet and wavy in, it felt like straw and looked like hay. Not cute. I think the hair may have not been 100% human hair. I felt kinda ripped off.

In most brooklyn stores, you do not receive the slightest comfort of knowing that they value their customers business and their experience while in their establishment; I was very pleased with the service I received at E.r.e.n.a, the attention to detail in crafting my hair, and the wonderful pleasant receptionist that I worked with on March 1 and 2, and Patrick in whom I spoke with about my order, the issue was handled professionally and in an efficient time. Thank you for valuing my business as a customer, and you will be highly recommended by me.

This review is for extension hair only.
I purchased their ‘afro kinky’ and ‘natural curl’ hair for two strand twist extensions and was very happy with quality and texture for $ 40 per oz. I went to the salon/​shop and saw them actually curling the hair with a narrow cylinder stick (incredible) and know from experience that they take orders first come first serve, and phone orders usually require a 24hr turnaround for in-​store pick up.
The woman on the phone pissed me off at first but was incredibly sweet and helpful when I went in. She’s the one who suggested I mix both textures for an interesting look and she was right. Also she’s doing EVERYTHING in that salon from treating extension hair, to scheduling services, taking orders and collecting payment — she doesn’t stop.
The shop is in the salon and is mid-​size a bit on shabby side but not 125^th street — trust me. The main problem is they are far out in Bushwick. You must take the ²⁄₅ and THEN a bus or $ 7 OW cab ride.
I’d say it was worth going to Erena’s personally to see their colors and textures, my stylist at Khamit Kink’s praised the quality. I’ve purchased the ‘afro-​kinky’ from Lugo’s (KK, I’m positive, uses the same texture for their baby curl twists) in Manhattan and while the price is the same and I like the overall texture, Lugo’s keeps the ‘afro-​kinky’ in a box, it’s handled a lot, looks a bit dirty and shed a lot when I used it (though their other locations may treat it better).
I would highly recommend and will keep using them.
