They stopped selling donuts out of Bergen & Rogers location. Now their other location isn’t even open.

I went to the place on 667 Classon Ave and the store was closed. Is there a new location for Elsie’s Parlor?

Started to go on the bergen&rogers loc. But it is now closed! So annoying I have to say. I know lots of people that are not going all the way until classon AV.

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE.
I took a neighborhood stroll to Elsie’s yesterday morning (which was a Sunday). I was so damn happy the moment I walked in – it’s a gorgeous, pristine-​white giant room. Everything looks so clean and satisfying, and it has a ‘50s-​style malt shop feel. I got a black and white donut which was $ 2.50. I was seriously pleased with it and it took me awhile to eat because it was so large! The man working behind the counter was very pleasant, too. He called me m’am, which was a little funny to me, because I’m 23, but it just goes to show how great the service here is.
I also am tempted to come back not only because the donut was damn delicious, but because their coffee cups had custom stamps on them of the shop itself!

A little over-​priced. And the donuts are huge. Which means you should probably share. Which means you shouldn’t come here alone, unless you’re a fatty like me: D

Great while they lasted. Pretty sure they’re permanently closed — I never see them open anymore. Bummer.

Maybe I just got a bad batch for the day or something but u felt a little bamboozled on the flavor a of the donut…
I got six different donuts the one thought was ok was the cinnamon sugar donut but I couldn’t finish after chewing a clump of only cinnamon sugar. I was so excited to try the tutti frutti

I really only came here because one of my best friends had been dying to go. I can definitely say that I will not be back.
The store is super cute, and the service was great. But. I don’t come to a bakery/​restaurant/​ice cream parlor for the service and décor. Food is first, always.
I tried the cookies and cream ice cream, and it was not very good. I can tell high quality ice cream, and this was not it to me. It was kind of icy and tasted more like a store brand ice cream than a good, neighborhood scoop.
As for the donuts, I got the black and white. Way, way too much icing. Like I had to peel off the icing towards the end because I felt sick. It was like a centimeter thick. The donut also was not the moistest I have ever had, so it was a disappointment. The donuts are huge, so props for that. But size won’t get me back here.

Elsie comes big with these Brooklyn made doughnuts. They are huge and pricey at $ 4 a pop. (And isn’t Elsie the cow from the glue? I’m confused, why is she making doughnuts?)
Regardless of branding, Elsie’s doughnuts are an adult flavored treat. Elsie doughnuts come in many flavors:
Cannella Al Burro
Cioccolato e Amarene
Pistachio
Frutti Di Bosco
Butterscotch with Salted Peanuts
Caramello e Cocco
and of course, regular glazed
We pull up to a very small booth. There are no places to sit and have coffee like at Doughnut Plant or Dough.
The selections are a little thin Friday afternoon, my son and I ordered two doughnuts the Butterscotch with Salted Peanuts & Caramello e Cocco. Both doughnuts are dynamite! I personally liked the Butterscotch but my choice was the Caramello e Cocco. All these fan-​say names, It was a coconut covered doughnut. It was a good doughnut, very dense. The flavor town train was definitely pulling into the station.
It was a good doughnut but the best? Yeah… I’m gonna say 4^th or 5^th.

If they’re sold out, just head to Elsie’s Parlor
for a pretty solid selection, PLUS ice cream.

its a high priced doughnut shop and slightly worth it. I had a cinn&sugar and chocolate glaze (which was almost as big as my face) but were quite delicious… BUT i spent more then $ 8 for both… of course i check with the sales person and she assured me with a gotcha giggle that was the correct price:(SOooooo yes the place is clean and beautiful, great location, nice staff and delicious product… but $ 8 dollars EIGHT DOLLARS for just 2 (TWO) doughnuts… i wrapped my head around that and I conclude that yes the product was tasty and i will probably go back but I will probably just be an adult and get just one:) lolol
overall this cheapskate enjoyed the place and the delicious phatty treats:)

Elsie’s is a great, cute little neighborhood doughnut shop! I watched Elsie’s under construction for months, growing more excited by the day. I was so excited when they finally opened! The shop has cute décor and really cool stained glass windows. They have fresh doughnuts delivered daily, as well as a coffee bar. Thankfully they have gluten-​free doughnuts for me, but they also have yummy, HUGE doughnuts for the non-​gluten challenged public. My friend got the toasted coconut and it was big enough for a (sugary) meal. My recommendation: get a doughnut (or two!) and head over to Prospect Park for a perfect morning.

I really like this place — it really deserves more like 4.5 stars. Their selection of flavors is both expansive (a dozen or so) and creative. Plus, while their doughnut style is different from Doughnut Plant /​Dough, it’s just as good. It’s a little more dense, and the glaze is a little thicker. Plus, the service is great, and it’s a cute little local shop.
Now if only they could get better coffee (just meh), I could upgrade them to 5 stars.

I was really excited to have a Dough competitor so close, but don’t get your hopes up. I got a ½ dozen donuts last week and 2 of them were either stale or that was actually their intended texture and there wasn’t really 1 I would go out of my way for.
There was definitely potential in some of the flavor combinations, but avoid the fruit glaze ones– they’re gummy and overly sweet.
The space itself is cute, but don’t plan to stay there– only 2 people can stand comfortably inside the enclosed sidewalk space.
Overall, stay on the simple or chocolate side of flavor combos and this spot is decent to get donuts for a group, but not a spot to seek out for a treat yo’self kind of day.

This place is worth the trip!!! Amazing donuts. The frutti di bosco will Rock your world. Sooooo good. And the cinnamon sugar is simple perfection.

A good selection of donuts at 3:30 sunday. Got the almond/​mascarpone/​fig jam and the dark chocolate/​almond ring and the cinnamon sugar which was the best one. It was an extra breezy window transaction. Super ez to get ur supply of donuts nowadays right?

The only people who would love the doughnuts here are those who enjoy tooth achingly sweet desserts.
I eat sweets all the time and can handle almost anything but I couldn’t finish the pistachio, which is one of the most beautiful looking doughnuts, or the plain glaze. The glaze on the pistachio was so thick, it almost had the consistency of fondant.
The dough itself was on the dense side but not terrible.

Where are 10 stars when you need them?
I thought Dough doughnuts were good, and they are. Then there’s Donut Plant, which is well worth the trip too.
But these are Off-​The-​Charts.
Thank you, bakers tasters and entrepreneurs, for this amazing treat. I’m trying not to go there too often for my waistline’s sake, but they’re so satisfying, I naturally eat lightly the rest of the day.

Just a block away from Berg’n, the gentrification of Brooklyn continues at a rapid pace with another great new option for doughnuts at this little walk-​up window.
Open everyday from 7 AM until they sell out, it seems they probably close pretty early since I got there at around noon and was disappointed to find that two of the best sounding flavors were already gone — the Caramello e Cocco and the Butterscotch Peanut.
I tried everything else they had, and these doughnuts are definitely good enough to make me want to make the trip all the way out here to try the rest of the inventive flavors. Of the major doughnuts players in town, they are probably closest in style to Dough, but a little smaller and not as fluffy as those best doughnuts in town.
Surprisingly, the best-​looking and tasting of all was the Frutti Di Bosco, a big yeast doughnut with a bright purple color, candied orange pieces and a big blackberry on top. The next best was the super chocolatey Cioccolato e Amarene, topped with a very dark Dark Chocolate and Amarena Cherries, followed by the Confettura Di Fichi, which was topped with Mascarpone and Toasted Almonds and filled with Fig Jam. All of these were quite good, as well as the plain Elsie’s Glazed, which was better than your average yeast doughnut.
Something of note here is that they actually offer a discount for buying half a dozen or a dozen, unlike those places that try to trick you by putting prices up for larger quantities, even though they were work out to be the same as buying them individually. They’re $ 2.50 each, and a very reasonable $ 12 for 6 or $ 22 for 12. Definitely get half a dozen to get a good sampling of the interesting flavors, and since there’s no seating other than a small bench out front, consider walking a block over to Berg’n if you don’t mind tons of affection-​less parents and their uptight children running around.
I’ll be back once some new flavors are in to try another half a dozen, and perhaps some scones if they have them available.
