Elite Event at Apothecarie

Yes, I made the trek to Borough Park for this awesome event. Well my trip wasn’t that bad it was a simple ride on the G train to Church. Shots out to Peter D. for making it through this event being the only guy until the last 30 – 40 minutes when another guy showed up. lol.
This was definitely a fun night. The veggie sushi was really good. I met some really cool people, received great skin care advice, picked up some products and received an awesome gift bag to take home. I’ll be making a trek back to use my $ 25 gift card Apothecarie gave for attending.
Wish I could have taken photos but my phone battery is the worst and my phone powered down before I made it to the event. Wack phone!
Looking forward to another event like this.

This was a fantastic event. I loved the skin consultation, and there was a great reception while we waited for our turns. I love the selection in the store and the personal attention put into selecting and testing the inventory. I really appreciate the gift bag and can’t wait to return to try some of the great skin products. I’m glad you’re in the neighborhood.

Really lovely intimate event in Borough Park. I was thoroughly impressed by the employees — they were all very friendly, my esthetician was extremely knowledgeable as well, and they made sure to provide their guests with food and drinks. Extra points go to the gentleman who checked our coats and made sure we didn’t make a mess. I got some really great advice, and wound up purchasing an exfoliating scrub by SkinCeuticals that I really love (used it today and my skin already seems better!). We also all got a bag of goodies as we left — I can’t wait to try out everything else! I’ll likely be heading back sometime in the near future to buy a serum from the same line as the exfoliant.
I was lucky to be the first guest to arrive — it didn’t take that long to get there at all. I started my consultation right away, and wound up talking to my esthetician for a little longer than I thought I would. I really appreciated that all of the ladies didn’t skimp on time with each of us — they wanted to make sure they knew what we needed help with, and that we got thorough consultations. I stuck around for the entirety of the event chatting with everyone — I got to meet a few Unilocalers who I hadn’t met before. Everyone was so nice and hopefully we’ll see each other at the next Bk event!
I would highly recommend Apothecarie — if you want to talk to an esthetician who really knows what they’re talking about, in a small store carrying a wide array of products, this is a GREAT spot. It’s a lot more conveniently located than the map makes it appear — just a 5 – 10 minute walk from the Ft. Hamilton Pkwy stop on the D. Definitely easy to get to for anyone in South Brooklyn, and it only took me 40 minutes to get there from Midtown.

what an amazing event — another home run! i was really struck and impressed at how personal and intimate this event was. the attention that Baila, Edmond, and Jada gave us was truly impressive and made a lasting impression on me. It was also great to fine a boutique skin care store in the neighborhood. and to top it all off — 25% off purchases, goody bags, sips, AND snacks! just amazing! thank you so much Apothecarie for having us and shout out to Mr. Peter D for another great elite event! Thank you!

Being the one fabulous fella at the party was a win! Besides Peter, of course. But we knew he was going to be there.
Thank you to Edmond, Jada, and the rest of the Apothecarie team for a great evening. It was really refreshing to support a new small business in Brooklyn that didn’t involve greasy fingers or a camera phone flash mob. I really enjoyed my night talking to other Unilocalers without a lot of distractions. Edmond was extremely considerate to stop by each guest and talk about a few of the products with them.
The skin consultations were very thorough and went longer than some expected BUT everyone got equal time so I don’t think it was a problem at all. I was one of the last to get my consultation at 9:00pm and I didn’t mind one bit. At an event like this it could be easy to feel pressured to purchase but none of the staff forced anything I didn’t want on me. When looking through the goodie bag on the train ride home I couldn’t believe how PACKED it was! Plus a nice gift card to come back.

What a unique event!
I really appriciated the staff for throwing a fantasic evening. The staff seemed to really care about their products and about each person’s skin. Everyone I chatted wasto be thrilled with their consultation. For me it got to be a bit late and had to leave before my turn (I had an hour train ride ahead of me).
The gift bag and gift card was incredibly generous and wonderful. I’m excited to try out all of the great samples and certainly want to return to use the gift card for Christmas presents!

What a nice surprise! I was not expecting such a lovely little shop in this location, but behind the glass doors was a bright and cozy Skin Care shop with a carefully curated selection of products lining it’s walls.
I appreciated the chance to speak with both an esthetician as well as a product specialist. I learned a lot more about my options than I expected and appreciate the time they took to understand what I was interested in!
Great to meet new YEs, thank you for the tasty spread and refreshing lime-​mint water and the gift bag! I am sure we will be meeting again once I have the chance to try some of the goodies I brought home :)

Def ranks as one of the top 3 Unilocal events I have attended in Brooklyn. Double plus for the convenient location. A little different from the usual food based events (though there were plenty of sushi and hors d’oeuvres to go around paired with some bubbly and minty lime water). When I arrived, I was immediately assisted by an esthetician. We went through my current skincare régime and what I was seeking to improve. She recommended me a few products and tested them on me. They carried a nice variety of brands. There was definitely something for everyone. We all left with awesome goody bags and a gc ensuring my return. Can’t wait!

Great event – this probably has to be one of my favorites yet! The space was cozy for a Unilocal event but Peter did a good job of making sure there weren’t too many people there.
The skin consultations were really thorough, even though they ran past the end of the event. And the goodie bags – the best yet! Can’t wait to try all the samples.

Could this have been more lovely? Maybe if there were kittens and rainbows cupcakes, but otherwise I doubt it. I wasn’t sure what to expect from the event, but Apothecarie really did everything exactly right. The space is small and beautiful– bright with products on three walls. We filled out a basic skin info sheet and were treated to a quick, but thoughtful consultation. We were suggested products but I didn’t feel pressured. They sold us on stuff the right way, by having awesome stuff! It also helped, and was super generous of them, that we got 25% off that night and a gift card for later. Add in super friendly and helpful staff, a lovely food and beverage table, and just the right amount of Unilocalers and you’ve got yourself a perfect night!
