Professional drumset player with extensive experience teaching all different age levels in all different styles in all different backgrounds available immediately for private lessons in my home studio in South Park Slope or your own home. As an educator, I specialize in Rock, Jazz, Blues, Funk, Hip-​Hop, Break-​Beat, Salsa, Brazilian styles, as well as North and South Indian Music.

I am aware that the abilities and goals of each student vary, which is why I work to tailor a lesson plan structured around each student as an individual. While you will be professionally trained and gathering a level of comfort and expertise on drumset right from the very basics and fundamentals, you will be encouraged to have fun and learn what most interests you.

History

Established in 2011.

Originally born in Dallas, Texas, I began studying music at an early age. Initially I began learning classical piano at five years old. Around the age fourteen, I switched to drumset after hearing jazz.

After attending the University of North Texas pursuing a degree in Jazz Studies I relocated to Brooklyn, New York to further pursue my musical and teaching career.

I play regularly in New York area and enjoy teaching dedicated students from all ages and levels.

I have over 10 years professional experience in the music and teaching field.

I attended University of North Texas for 5 years pursuing a Jazz Studies degree.

I was fortunate enough to have studied extensively with Ed Soph for 5 years. I have also studied with Ari Hoenig, Dan Weiss, Ganesh Kumar, and Miles Okazaki.

I am fluent in all musical styles, especially: Jazz, Funk, Rock, Hip-​Hop, R&B, Electronic music, Drum n Bass, Salsa and other Afro-​Cuban styles, Brazilian (Samba/​Bossa Nova as well as north eastern folkloric), and South Indian.

I played on a record nominated for ECMA Jazz Recording of The Year.

I have toured extensively across America, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, and Brazil.
